Fun fact the motorized scooter has been around with the first known being sold in 1913 and think it was called an Autoped. Similarly the idea of a two design of a segway has been around for a while with the earliest known being in somewhere in the 1920s where Buster Keaton used an oversized version that is clearly made of several car parts together, and by the looks unpowered
I cannot recommend reading the book Samsung Rising enough. It’s a history of the company from founding to just shortly after the Note 7 issue and it’s fallout. Wonderful book to read.
Matt is right about motorized scooters, the first mass produced one was called the Autoped and was released in 1915. It has its conceptual origins in the 19th century, as do many technologies that have only become more widely available lately. For another example, there were electric cars as early as 1890 (and possibility earlier, but the one designed by William Morrison gets credit as being the first “successful” one.)
Bay Area guy checking in. So I used to live in Cupertino on Stevens Creek Blvd back in like 2004. HP and Apple both had buildings all over the entire area. I worked for about a year at an old HP complex on Stevens. Creek and Lawrence Expressway. On when I was there it was rebranded at “Agilent Technologies” basically their tests and measurements arm. I worked for the Wi-Fi Alliance doing compliance testing. I literally worked right next to a team of scientists who were making atomic clocks to go into spaceships for NASA. It was pretty fascinating
Sorry but Austin was semi-correct at 11:19 because it was offically made LG Chem, then gone on in 1958 to branch off as Goldstar which then in 1983 merged to become LG Electronics. So if the quesion was abou LG Elecronics then BOTH was wrong as technically it was 1983
I actually worked on the apple new headquarters in california, it was very stressful and strict, which didn’t make sense because apple does nothing for the environment, even though they didn’t want us to use heavy equipment for the center of the headquarters lol
Yea honestly the point stuff got annoying at times because older this is challenges wouldn't stray like that and its fun to see the actual tally. Thanks for listening guys 😁
Wanna know something funny? Matt said the year 1925 for his answer on Namco... that just so happens to be the year that the founder Masaya Nakamura was born. December 24th, 1925 to January 22nd, 2017 (yeah, THAT recent). Also, you forgot to bleep the "S" word at 11:39.
The Radio was Sony's first product because their concept rice cooker failed because it would either overcook or undercook rice and had no physical controls, so it was never released
We all know that Toyota's real first product was when they license the character Yoda from Star wars and tried to make a toy version of it so that kids could play You know like an action figure.
Mind-blowing idea. You make a collab video with Good Mythical Morning, their audience sees how awesome you guys are and since they already like this sort of videos, you get huge number of new subscribers. You can thank me later for the idea by calling each other "Bob" for a duration of one video.
Transistors and tubes are two different things. Vacuum tubes as they are called also called valves in Europe are glass envelopes with the elements inside. The vacuum in the tube allows the electrons to flow. Every time you say transistor tubes it’s cringe.

It would have a being a nice detail if you put the links of the videos mentioned in the description. But alr8, putting the names of the videos was nice too
Great vid, but what’s a transistor tube? Transistors took over tubes because they are more efficient, cheaper, and achieve the same goal. Unless you mean transistors AND tubes that was never going to win lol
I was 9 years off on Logitech. I guessed 1990. The Nintendo one was easy for me. I knew the exact year and what they 1st made. I guessed 1932 for Lego I guessed 1965 for Namco All the other ones I couldn't guess even close lol
Nokia could be a viable phone maker brand if they brought back the 100 year trout logo
The Nokia brick phone is still a viable option, it has great battery life and a very strong body
@@beefynfn It'd be awesome if they came back with a smartphone built like a tank
Yes. That would look so much cooler at the back of a phone than a stupid half eaten apple. 🤔

It's interesting how many companies completely change what they do after decades and that new thing ends up being their success.
you guys should do an overclock vs LTT family feud game with Riley, James, Luke and Linus
@jennymelo2098 ...Huh?
@Jenny Melo you know Austin and Linus are friends, right?

It will never be Transistor Tubes, as there is no such thing. Transistors replaced Tubes.
"Transistor tubes" do so exist! They go together with vacuum microchips!
5:18 this part right here earned another like😂. Although I could only give one. And this one 8:45 😂 awesome
I love falling asleep to these videos. As entertaining as they always are it's just something about this group that helps me sleep
I literally nap to their videos… it’s a good sleep binge
Austin has a point… I award Matt 50 points for simply being Matt
Questioning Austin's geek cred with "transistor tubes". Is that a vacuum tube with a few hundred transistors glued to it?
Transistors replaced Vacuum tubes.
I have no idea what a transistor tube is.
Kensie is on fire here with her interactions…seriously: morse code? brilliant! 🤣😎

Love the video as usual, but I have to ask. . . What the hell is a "transistor tube"? transistors replaced vacuum tubes.
Love the video content Austin can't wait for the next! Keep up the great work.
This was so great! Laughed pretty hard!
fun fact those Pyramids are still standing only because they are made of pure original Nokia 3310's 😂
Matt deserves any half points he wants 💯
OOOHHHH!!! So that's why in every sonic game Sega has a slot lottery machine!!!

Remember John Morrison calling Nokia "Nah-Kia" lmao?

I love how matt is just phoning it in XD
11:57 wut is Matt’s face?

Transistor tubes? OK... 😂😂🤣🤣
I'm pretty baked, but this episode slapped

Try to start your show with this line:
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood Mythical Mooooooooooooooooooorning!
We all know that Toyota's real first product was when they license the character Yoda from Star wars and tried to make a toy version of it so that kids could play You know like an action figure.
Toyotas auto loom actually first went into production in 1857 by Ichido Toyoda, not 1906
It's crazy how most of these first products had nothing to do with tech at all!
Nokia has been the same font since 1967. I wonder if that was the only font they had when they first made it that then just thought "eh, it works"

The Autoped, the first motorized scooter for adults was developed in 1913. austin my man. 1985 😅
Good addition. Keep the fun, but have the actual score too 👍
I’m just happy that Nokia and Finland was mentioned. Torille!
I love the Half Life sound effects. 1 point to the editor

The Bandai Namco one was the most surprising.

It's Vacuum Tubes not Transistor Tubes
As the one old PS game I played said, cheaters never prosper. So, is that true for Matt?
I Never knew that Motorola was founded in Chicago of all places!😊
Matt failing spactacularly on Nintendo's first product year was cringe.
Hey, guys, this is This Is!"
just a quick fyi, the first motorized scooter was made in 1915 by Autoped. The more you know right?
Yes! Take is seriously!
I do remember watching a Show about HP
I was 9 years off on Logitech. I guessed 1990.
The Nintendo one was easy for me. I knew the exact year and what they 1st made.
I guessed 1932 for Lego
I guessed 1965 for Namco

close lol
Well I mean an abacus is hand operated, a mouse is hand operated, seems like a legit guess
how is nobody talking about the christmas pikachu on 13 january

The first motorized scooter was 1915, and the first came out to the public in 1917. Google Assist says.
the irst "Motoorized Scooter" was Pattented by Autoped in 1916
Damn I knew the Samsung answer but forgot about the groceries were first
Lol? Mazda had a Mitsubishi logo from 1931 to 1934? :D
I love Family Feud please do it
It's funny they didn't include Mitsubishi but include Mazda and Toyota
