Removing the Old Fairmont Differential

  • In order to make room for my freshly rebuild 8.8, I needed to remove the old differential from my 1979 Ford Fairmont. If you need to remove a differential from a Fox Body Ford, this is the video for you. I cover all the steps needed to remove a differential from a Ford Fox Body in this video.
    Be thankful you can't smell what I smell in this video. It's gross.
    You can also use a floor jack and some jack stands to do this work. Just be sure to lift and support the vehicle properly.
