Everyone keeps saying he's human. We're all human. But most of us have never walked up to another man and slapped him in his face either. If so, we would have been arrested instead of given an award, a standing ovation, and allowed to party at an after party.

lol it wasn't cause of that, chris made a joke about his wife not his mother or her mother, will smith has trauma from jada cheating on him with so many guys, it's quite sad really, i think him slapping chris was a sad attempt at trying to gain acceptance from his wife, sorry smith she's still going to cheat! crazy that a man is trying to prove their worth to such a woman who cheats on them with their SON's best friend.

You can tell he wasn’t really sorry about it. There’s no doubt he’s feeling the regret though. Once your actions and words have been done, you cannot take them back. Simple as that. He could’ve been remembered as the movie star we all know of for his particular roles. Unfortunately, he is now remembered for this forever….

This "apology tour" has more to do with money than anything else, and the excuses he's using are complete BS. If you go back and re-watch the video you'll see he laughs at the joke Chris Rock made, and then turns and sees his wife's reaction, she says something, and all of a sudden he gets up and heads for the stage. He wasn't "going thru" anything, he was pushed by his lovely wife...

No no, Will Smith. You don't get to blame your personal traumas for that kind of entitled behavior. You were sitting in the front row, a nominee, and you thought you could get away with assaulting another person in front of the whole world, that somehow, we will all understand how aggrieved you are by Chris Rock's joke about your wife's hair. Everyone who stood up and gave you a standing ovation when you took the Oscar has some serious soul searching to do.

Way too soon for him to be forgiven? Really? That seems a little drastic don’t you think?
When you want forgiveness for something that you’ve done, and you have repented of it and no longer do that anymore, don’t you feel that you should get forgiveness sooner than later? It’s a darn good thing that God and Jesus Christ are the judge of mankind and not men, because men are merciless and unjust. Where as God is full of justice and love and he’s very forgiving if you will stop what it is you’re doing wrong.
So don’t give me this high and mighty it’s too soon for him to be forgiven nonsense.😮‍💨

When something you do is not right then you stop doing it,..Pray to God for help to accomplish that. When you have stopped doing that bad thing then you can ask God to forgive you for it.
But if you keep doing the bad thing while praying to stop doing it, but you keep doing the bad thing then you're in a vicious circle. There is some effort required.
      And I'm definitely not stupid.

It’s disrespectful and I know you can do better than that man…” He would have earned so much respect if he did that instead, even get applauds and be honored by it. No way this was a conspiracy. It completely butchered Will Smiths legacy and Rock’s own dignity. Everybody lost, and the Oscars certainly didn’t win. There are PLENTY of other schemes they could have done to get Oscar’s hype back. Even the Oscars lost credibility and respect by how they mishandled it. If it was planned, then it couldn’t have gone any worse for anybody.

Even here instead of taking it like a man, facing accountability he starts saying all kinds of dumb stuff. Chris however that man took it shook it off and made a joke about it to ease everyone elses mood before even anyone heard the clap, huge respect thats professionalism and great character traits, i cant even imagine the adrenaline at that point after getting randomly hit and he still shook it off.

Justifying his actions with excuses is one thing. But the fact that he was smiling the whole time speaks louder than his words. He's not sorry he did it. He's just upset with the fallout it caused. Everybody loved him for the longest time and held him on such a high pedestal (including me), but after that night and the way he's addressed it since, he's made it crystal clear that his ego is his top priority. "I was afraid of how my actions would impact the success of my movie." His actions had more of an impact on his career/reputation than any movie ever will. He can still come back from all of this and be forgiven, but first he needs to grow up.
