I don’t understand the hate for Ahsoka.
Kenobi, Boba and Mando season 3 are garbage to me but how tf is Ahsoka considered in the same calibre as those three? It’s not perfect but it has actual enjoyable content as opposed to being passable at best.
Because there are issues with the show. To put it in the same category as the shows you mentioned, agreed. I don't think its worse but by no means did this show "save" Star Wars.
If you think those are bad but this is good then that is seriously weird. This has the same amount of fan bait and lazy writing as all the other shows.
Ep 7 was Kenobi level quality imo, but every other episode is good to great.
@@star-warsien There are issues with it but it is still probably the best live action classic star wars since rebel one (Mando Season 1&2 were very good too). I think a rebooted sequel trilogy directed by Dave Filoni is the only thing that can bring star wars back to the very top of the public perception. There is potential to retcon the sequels with the stuff they've talked about in Ahsoka about hidden worlds and unseen galaxies so possibily they could go the multiverse route

@@mccleandazza4618 what he meant was his acting in this show and his depiction of a character that was merely established in this show for the first time, was so powerful and well performed that it merits the legendary status. and i agree with him just like 95+% of the fanbase. and in that sense he is already a Legend to Starwars fans, as his stellar performance would never be forgotten. and that, is the definition of a "Legend". in case you weren't aware.

As someone who does fencing with a german longsword, you're not going to forget it. Its like riding a bike....you might be rusty (with a sword/saber) but you don't forget how to use it. Rusty yes, but it's not an either/or thing...he could use the force and his light saber. It's not a terrible episode, but there are a lot of these small issues that don't really make sense.

From what i seen Ezra also sucked with the lightsaber, idk, almost every fight i remember he got his ass kicked, but he was actually pretty good with the force, ....

I don't agree with you on this one, Theory... For starters Ezra making jokes is part of his character. The episode wasn't a 10/10 but you can't expect that from every episode. This episode got me involved and I couldn't find any boring moment. And yes, the lightsaber duels that Nick Gillard choreographed are amazing but the ones we see in Ahsoka are very good too! The fight choreographers are doing a great job in my opinion. It's a 7.5/10 for me.
They are pretty good if you watch them a couple of times and analyze a little you can see how well they actully done, ... they just aint as quick and fluent as the prequel ones.
i think theory is mad bc all of his videos about shin are completely wrong at this point, he completely miss read the character even though there was a couple scenes foreshadowing how she wants power

I enjoyed the episode ,after so many years Ezra's still got it. He never turned back on his training, everything was a build up to the finale and I cannot wait.
The finale better be worth it then. I was hoping for a lot more to happen in the first 7 episodes.
@@hamiltonp58 I think it will be, there was a lot that needed to be built upon especially when you're creating new characters, stories on top of characters and storylines that a lot of the fans haven't seen. And then bring them altogether to make a compelling season one finale. Very good stuff in my opinion, Filoni showing his worth.

That'd be fine if this was a 15-20 episode long season but because it's only I short episodes it falls flat imo.
@@hamiltonp58 OK I respect that. Hopefully this gets the respect it deserves so we can see more shows from Dave Filoni, that way he can work with more episodes and flesh out more of his ideas because we do not know what constraints he had to create this show.
That was pretty sad that he has to use a gun. Clearly he hasn’t mastered Teras Kasi which is the ancient weaponless force enhanced martial arts. They need a better choreographer because I wasn’t impressed.
Can’t wait for Theory’s breakdown when he talks about how great the episode was.

'Oooookay? Anyway, Thrawn will send fighters to take out Ahsoka while she is on her ship, but she jumps off it midflight.'

'Nope, she does it in the middle of nowhere.'
"So she is just stuck in the middle of nowhere?"
'Nope, she isn't, because Baylan sensed her coming and rode off to meet her there.'
"Why does he know that this was going to be where she jumps out of the ship?"
'Because.'
"That works."
'And he told Shin that she has to kill Ezra and Sabine alone.'
"Oh no! She has to fight them two on one?"
'Well no, the samurai aliens are there.'
"Oh, so they attack together?"
'Nope, Shin will wait until they're basically defeated and THEN join the battle.'
"Okay... but Thrawn was also sending two squads with them, right?"
'Yes, but Shin attacked before they arrived.'
"Why would she do that?"
'Listen, Sir, I need you to get allllll the way off my back about Shin not using the obvious reinforcements she should be having.'
"Oh, okay, let me get off of that thing!"
'Right, so the 30 or so troopers surround them and are getting ready to fire!'
"Oh no! It has to be difficult to get out of that situation."
'Actually it's gonna be super easy, barely an inconvenience!'
"Oh really?"
'Yeah, because when Shin orders them to fire, only like two troopers do and Ahsoka knocks them over in just that moment and then they just win.'
"Alright."
'And Thrawn is like "this was to our advantage, now they don't have enough time to stop us", so he recalls the troopers and the fighters hunting Ahsoka's ship.'
"So wait, he stops his fighters from destroying their ship? The ship that can definitely bring them back to him before he can take off?"
'I-... eh.... yeah, I guess so....'
"I thought Thrawn was a tactical genius?"
'Heyshudab, so anyway, that's the seventh episode, what do you think?`'
"Well, I mean, this is episode 7 and barely anything happened, do you think that Star Wars fans will get tired of the story progressing THIS slowly?"

I was genuinely surprised that you thought this was a terrible episode. It was amazing. We got to see Thrawn at work. The reunion of these characters. The mystery of the Dark Jedi thickness. The space chase was a call back to classic scenes like Empire and AtoC. The turtle scene was slow, but that was THE battle in the episode. This wasn't filler. Everything is set up for the final episode. And it was set up way better than some of the other season finales from the other Star Wars shows. Ahsoka and the gang have to figure out how to stop Thrawn and Thrawn showed us that they're out of time. How do they pull it off. If Thrawn escapes, how does the gang follow? How does Thrawn slow them down? I'm ready for this next week.

Ezra was gone this entire time without a lightsaber and no one to train him. Of course he's going to change his fighting style to adapt. The start of this episode with the ship battles makes this ep a 7/10 alone for me.
No it was done wrong he should have looked at the saber and destroyed them all ,the force is female crap was all over that scene really disappointed as most of the episode was good the men can not be the hero in Disney star wars .

This guy is such a prequel die hard its hilarious. Guy cannot even comprehend the point of a slow build up, which makes sense with his thoughts about Andor. We have one of the most intriguing antagonists, the best filler lightsaber duels EVER, and top tier world building from this season alone. Man just cannot be pleased

I liked andor cause we got to slow down, the 3 ep arc allowed us to have down time with the characters and get us ready for the finale of each arc, this rushed 8 ep seasons are annoying, i do love this show, but sucks how we are finale next week

Like Ezra has always been more comfortable and better with the force than with lightsabers so after 10year of prolly just being able to practice his force abilities it’s understandable that he’s more confident in protecting his friends with the force instead 9/10 episode

Yeah like I said weeks ago. Ezra isn’t a skilled duelist. He’s always been very powerful in the Force. It really made sense to me that he decided to stick to it.

First time I disagree with Theory. The episode was solid imo, somewhere between 7.5 and 8 out of 10. It brought the story forward, the Baylan vs Ahsoka fight was awesome. It had some pacing issues but overall it was still solid. It wasnt boring, even the court scene in the beginning was interesting and had to be in there, otherwise there would have been an unanswered storyline.
Facts. I was floored when he started bashing the episode as soon as it was over. I thought he was being sarcastic at first.

Literally all you care about is "Whats Baylan doing" and cant appreciate all the awesome and new things we got in this episode: Anakin, Planet surrounded by space mines, Thrawn outclassing everyone, some dope lightsaber fights and the reunion of Ezra and Ashoka. Maybe they should have given you that reveal in epsiode 1 so that you wouldn't be forced to watch the entire series oh nooooo

It was a character building and intro for Ezra, Hera, Thrawn. A slight improvement for Sabine and Ashoka but not by much.
Thrawns tacticians mindset was demonstrated but could have been done to make him more of a threat

It had cameos, action and it showed how genius Thrawn is!

But it wasn't Professor Moriarty's brilliance. And he still felt half his troops die rather than pull back earlier.
I actually would have liked it if he'd pulled back when far less than half his forces were depleted.
Like he could have just let Ashoka sit there in the ring much longer, to milk the clock more. And said as much to his fighters after the first casualty of their jets.
There wasn't a need to flush her out, and in fact doing so made the ground game MORE of a problem.
It was okay, and showed he's goal oriented not emotionally driven. I would have liked it to have been a bit more sophisticated.
The crab people wagon battle was a bit too long, Baylon and Ashoka rematch too short.
I would have liked some more unconventional combat tactics from Thrawn

Yeah, but training 10 years in the force and all he could do was force push them a few feet away. Shin came in and completely wrecked Ezra with the force. Missed opportunity for his character to be a badass force user

i don't know what happened for theory or what was he hoping to see. for me it was an episode where we got to see more character building for thrawn and ezra, and there was a whole lot of action.
choreography wasn't as bad as some people think. the fight between baylen and ahsoka was really cool. Ezra's force powers looked really powerful. and baylen's arc in this episode was really good.
i think his comment "the impatience for victory will guarantee defeat" is more true about starwars fans than the show right now. they want a masterpiece in every single episode and can't settle for good or even recognize it. 8/10 episode.
Edit: Theory did not, nor has he ever insulted any starwars fan. he always encouraged polite discourse and respect for one another and definitely held up his end of the bargain on that since the beginning and incluing this livestream as well. it was the people who were literally insulting him for his take on the episode that caused him to respond to them in kind, while also giving them way more respect than what they gave him !
i may disagree with his take on this episode, but i respect and to some degree see his angle. also, theory has been a fan of starwars for many years and have been creating lore videos for years, while also reading up on all aspects of starwars lore that most people haven't even heard of. he would see flaws and angles in any starwars show that most of us can't because we are not as well informed as he is. his opinion is not more important than anyone else's, but his knowledge of starwars lore definitely merits attention and reconsideration of our own ideas about this episode, the show and all things starwars in general !

Its a good and very entertaining episode. Just underwhelming, since its the 7th out of 8.
There should be higher stakes at this point and further developed story arcs. We still dont know what baylan is up to, they say that thrawn's return is dangerous but dont show why, sabine hasnt had any real growth and hasnt told ezra about thrawn yet, etc.
Basically this episode ended the same as last week's episode but with ahsoka there. Which could've happend in 5 mins.

Found ezra annoying and the proportion of 8 filler episodes for every real episodekilled it for me
I mean the series isn’t particularly that great compared to clone wars, plus clone wars gets better mcuh MUCH earlier
@@sanholo2483throw it on when making dinner or eating. My wife and I have gone through clone wars and rebels a few times. Yes they are light and filler heavy, but its part of the fun. When a juicy episode hits it hits good. But i get it. Different strokes for different folks.
@@joshanator7825I actually disagree. I had always held off watching Rebels for so many years because I loved Clone Wars so much and wasn't ready for it to end.
But Rebels actually finds it's identity much faster and the characters in Rebels are overall better. They feel like a close knit family that go on adventures.
Not every episode can be 10/10. If Ezra were to use his lightsaber straight away it wouldn't build as much excitement. They're leaving us wanting more, which will happen in the finale. For me this was a 7/10 episode. Like I said not every episode can the 10/10.

It was an ok episode. I think some of the action sequences suffered the same cringe factor as the scooter chase in the Boba show though.

@OrionSauce I disagree. I'm enjoying it. Not to sure what people actually expect/want from these shows. They're rebuilding characters, we've got to see anakin in live action again, cinematography is great, some good acting from ray Stevenson. Lighsbaer fight have been pretty good up to now. It might not be a 10, but it's solid up to now. I think some people just live to pick faults

The trap is useless everyone os unscattered. They set up Ezra diffficult to find being hiding 10 years. Sabine finds him without The lead in 40 minutes. They set up thrawn as a tactician genious. Having much more resources, manpoweer, firepower, ships and even 2 force users he accomplish 30 minutes of advantage. Everything IS hard until The plot needs It to be fairly easy. Lets see what this set up did for The last Episode...

Been watching theory for a while and it saddens me how he gets defensive over people having different opinions and calls them Disney shills. Like i get some of his talking points but if you’re going to let your expectations dictate how you view an episode, of course it is easy to leave disappointed.

Yeah but its good to keep your expectations realistic. In one of Theory's recent videos, he theorises that the witches will create an apparition of Vader or maul to fight Ahsoka.
Essentially I'm saying Theory goes into an episode hoping for the direction he wants the episode to go, and I admit, the ideas are good. But when Filoni (who is still responsible for the writing of this episode) does things a different way, Theory sometimes gets upset like calling Ahsoka and Sabine's connection lame. So really its less of a flaw of the episode and more of something not going the way Theory wants it.

Imagine complaining about episodes that are rushed and everything is answered so quickly yet this episode was a great buildup to the finale and was suppose to be a buildup and set up to leave some things to be answered next week but yet upset cause you don’t have something answered right away. Classic Star Wars fans lol this episode definitely good besides the lightsaber fights which are not well choreographed. 8/10 for me

This is the most Star Wars has been alive, combine this with mando and u have the making of better sequels like the ones Lucas envisioned, sure episode 7 wasn’t the most action packed but seeing Ezra fight with the force was amazing, and I felt like Shin was considering joining the trio when Ashoka wanted to help her, I’m still so confused what Baylen’s motives are but can’t wait to find out, watching Thrawn be a master tactician live action was perfect he always sees the big picture. Not to mention this is the first mention of asajj ventress in live action too.
I hope the theories about Abeloth being the dark entity who's calling for him are true. It would be so perfect and bring back the son, father and daughter arc. In the EU, Abeloth was the mother who could control both light and dark side and thus even more powerful than the father. At one point the three of them pulled together to lock her away into a glactic maw in the Unknown Regions. Now they could easily adapt it to her being locked away in a different galaxy entirely. It would also explain why Thrawn and the Nightsisters are so desperate to get away from there.

For some one who didn’t watch rebels what I got out of this episode is that they wanted to show you how thrawn works/how he reacts to his opponents and I thought this episode showed that every well was very focus on thrawns tactics

I actually quite liked that Ezra didn't completely dominate that fight, because you've got to be a little bit rusty after a couple years in hiding and not using your powers. When that's said I still think the force push knocking out Ezra was a bit weird. I really hope they don't end up focusing too much on Sabine, because Ezra is the special one. Solid episode - 8/10

I understand where your negative thoughts are coming from but I still think it was a great episode. Some of the cinematography was excellent and seeing C3-PO in this new era was amazing. I think it was still at least a 7/10 if not an 8/10

It was definitely one of the better episodes for me. I say my 2nd or 3rd favorite episode so far. My only complaints are it was only 42 minutes and it didn't give us the answers from Baylan's calling and his unexpected turn. Senator Xiono keeps taking Ls. He's up to something or is working with someone evil.
Threepio was a nice cameo and he's never been most people's favorite droid. Same with the Hayden recorded hologram cameo. But I think the strongest character in this episode was definitely Thrawn. We're seeing how he plays chess. My favorite Thrawn reaction wasn't about Anakin but seeing how Baylan is going astray. Anakin is dead. It's Baylan who is making things complicated.
I think Thrawn's strategy of just getting the hell outta there while he watches the good guys or gals wastes time needs to be emphasized. I enjoyed the Great Mothers having something to do in this episode. They weren't just standing there and doing nothing. And I like some of the reactions and questioning from Morgan as to show how Thrawn's mind really works.
I like how Baylan vs. Ahsoka basically went to a draw. I didn't feel Baylan should lose or even die. But I also didn't feel Ahsoka should lose either. I didn't feel it was necessary. I did wonder if Shin was going to join Ahsoka's crew. Maybe in the end, she does? Baylan did create friction by basically ditching her there.
It's a little weird to see Baylan turn like that in a hurry. Didn't in Ep 2, he told Morgan it would be a shame to kill Ahsoka considering the dwindling numbers of Jedis left? Then when he first fought her in Ep 4, he said, "It didn't have to come this way." Then all of a sudden, he tells Shin to contact Thrawn to kill Ezra and Sabine? He didn't need to fight Ahsoka if he was planning to ditch Shin there. Baylan could've just went his merry ways. He went too out of character quickly.
The great question of what Baylan is trying to do and who is calling him remains a mystery. I don't want to assume anyone anymore because I think it leads to high expectations and then disappointment. If I keep watching these SW channels, all these theories will lead to higher expectations which only leads to disappointment. It could be a Zeffo or Bendu or Abeloth. It's Mephisto in WandaVision all over again.
I did wonder why Ezra didn't take the lightsaber? Why another reluctant lightsaber user like what happens to Luke in TLJ. He only used the Force and blasters. Sabine busting her ass as usual with all the action scenes and saying some humorous lines. Sabine keeps growing on me! And she started out as my least favorite in Ep 1 and 2.
"She's like you but without the sense of humor." That's a very Han Solo line. BTW, Harrison Ford hates Han Solo because he's not complicated enough? Huh? He started off selfish. An atheist. He evolved to someone better at the end. It's not like Indiana Jones is this complicated character either if Harrison is saying that about Han. But Han's death did add weight to The Force Awakens.
I'm all-in for *Billie* *Lourd* as Leia Organa. She already portrayed her in The Rise of Skywalker when she was dueling with Luke. She's taller than Carrie but not by much. I think everyone could embrace Billie being the new Leia moving forward even though she'll be older like in her 30s which is where Billie is right now at 31.
We accepted Ewan McGregor as a young Obi-Wan. Why can't we accept a different actress portraying Leia? And we got a younger version of her last year. Only makes sense the Leia in her 30s happens to be portrayed by Carrie's one and only child!
We are still 23 years in the timeline before The Force Awakens starts. Give us Billie Lourd's version of Leia. Bring it on! Billie is a mother of two. One boy, one girl. If the boy is old enough, he can portray the young Ben Solo as Ben is about 6 in this current timeline born in 5 ABY. Her son is currently 3.
Overall, I'll give this an 8.5/10. I wish it was at least 10 minutes longer and they gave us the answer to Baylan's calling. We got a little bit of everything in this episode. Not the strongest episode but it gave us a little bit of everything starting with Hera.
I don't believe we needed all the scenes with Ahsoka hiding and escaping in that minefield. I felt it stalled the story a little. Just filler moments. I think we needed more Baylan here and I don't mean another lightsaber duel with Ahsoka. Just his purpose being in Peridea. But it did show what a tactician Thrawn is.
The stuff with Thrawn and Ezra were all excellent. Enhanced both characters. The Nightsisters or Great Mothers had something to do. Every character got a W except Senator Xiono. Even Threepio got a rare W from me. Hera gave me a laugh and gave one to Mon when she told Xiono, "No, I protected the New Republic by ignoring you." Nice burn, Hera. W for her.
Senator Xiono: Easily the worst character in this series. He's either up to no good or he's really, really stupid to not give a damn about Thrawn's return. But we all need our heels and morons. He's only the latter. He's the opposite to how Thrawn is as a heavy. Xiono will have a cheap death and we will all laugh when it finally happens. He actually makes you miss Jar Jar. Xiono is like the greedy lawyer in Jurassic Park.
I can't believe we only have 1 more episode to go. I wish it was 90 minutes long like a typical Stranger Things S4 episode but I bet it's under 50 minutes again. After Ahsoka, there's going to be a long drought for SW content. We'll get Loki S2 next Friday (Oct 6), but expect delays for a lot of other projects that were supposed to come out next year.
I'm aware the writers strike (WGA) ended recently but the actors strike (SAG-AFTRA) is still going on and is a separate issue. So expect a lot of projects being pushed to 2025 or later. The only thing I'll be interested next year is House of the Dragon and we're only getting 8 episodes of that for S2.
We first hear C-3PO say in this episode, "Oh. How rude." It's one of his catchphrases and he said it in The Empire Strikes Back when the other droid that looks like him but in silver says something to him. So basically Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) from Full House ripped off Threepio with that catchphrase? How rude!!
The lighting in this episode was fantastic. Especially the violet tone when Ahsoka and Huyang were talking in the cockpit before hitting that minefield. The special effects when the purgills went to hyper speed was really well done. This may not be a popular opinion being how much we love to bash the Sequel Trilogy and Disney. But I think SW has never looked better than how they look right now. Top notch high production values.
Episode 7 MVP: Thrawn
I think Ray Stevenson among all the actors in this series has easily been the MVP. Best SW actor since Sir Alec. I still love Baylan and I was relieved he wasn't killed by Ahsoka, but NGL, I'm confused on how I should feel about him in this episode? It felt really out of character for him to tell Shin to contact Thrawn to have Ezra and Sabine killed. And then to part ways with Shin right there without any warning.
My biggest concern is if this big Baylan mystery gets so built up that it puts writers in a corner. It happened to LOST. There is this big mystery that is never answered for years. Then when the mystery is finally unveiled, it's a disappointment. All that time to theorize it, it's just not as cool as the one you had hoped. But it's very clear to me Baylan and Thrawn are the two best and most charismatic characters in the series with Shin being 3rd.
Baylan and Thrawn are the two best characters since Star Wars '77 when Vader, Han, and Obi-Wan had tons of charisma. You're always intrigued on what Baylan and Thrawn are going to say. Ray and Lars are perfect casting for this. I guess Lars might need to carry S2 of Ahsoka if we ever get it. With all this buildup for Thrawn, there's no doubt he's going to be an awesome character like Vader was but in a different manner.

read all of this. good post. i agree with most/everything, other than the fact that i think youre judging the "out of character" nature of baylan a bit too quick. like you stated, we truly have no idea what he's up to, and i get it feels kind of bad right now, but i think its too quick to say he wasnt acting in character. i definitely hope its not a "Lost" situation, but i truly have no reason to believe that yet. I think the only thing that could stunt his story right now is Ray's extremely untimely death.
definitely would have been sick if the space scene was cut by 5 minutes or so and repalced with a bit more of baylan's motive, but what can we do. if i could have it my way, every episode would be 65 minutes with credits.
Good stuff. I'm going to stop the video now because too much negativity. The complaints aren't making sense, and the comments Theory's reading are just people jumping on the bandwagon of his initial thoughts so he will like them.
- Ezra went 10 years without his Saber, has been honing other ways to take out all the Stormtroopers who's dogtags he's collected. Also it's safe to say he wants Sabine to have all the tools she can and he's confident he doesn't need it. Yes, it would have been cool to see him swing it around being a badass, but it would have been even cooler for him to have spent the last 10 years mastering the force and pull a gunship out of the sky and come crashing down, like SK pulling down a Star Destroyer. He doesn't need his lightsaber to be a badass.
- "What's up with the jokes?" ?? When has Ezra NOT joked around?? Theory, you've seen Rebels, he jokes in nearly every episode.
- Stop obsessing over the fight choreography. Save it for an overall review of the series because they won't be replacing the choreographer in the middle of the season. Make a petition to replace them for next season, but don't keep harping on them not replacing them between episodes - broken record. IMO, the only great SW fights were in ep1, with Maul. I thought the other prequels had bad editing and too many close-ups and cuts, or low-lighting in the Dooku fight, so they could hide mistakes or bad CG.
- The complaints just seem like nit-picking and not enough good stuff. Yeah the chase scene could have been shorter and the saber-fights longer, but too many are taking for granted seeing Thrawn and Ezra in live-action, these actors are killing it. Close your eyes and listen to them - they're nailing these characters - then open your eyes and see it's not animation and that we can look forward to another season and a big-budget movie with them.
Above all, have faith in Filoni - not only for the series/movie but to bridge the gap the right way, and maybe, just maybe... write an explanation for the sequel trilogy that doesn't leave us tied to it but lets us almost ignore it and move on.

Whoever said Thrawn and Sabine never met face to face before is wrong and obviously didn’t watch all of Rebels like he pretended to. Thrawn did meet Sabine in Rebels when he had her captured and got her help to decipher these ancient Mortis artifacts. I specifically remember it because it was cool having Sabine and Thrawn converse about something they have in common with Sabine loving art and Thrawn appreciating ancient artifacts and things from other worlds and civilizations.

Theory, Nick Gillard is cool but he's also why the saber fights looked like twirlly wirlly nonsense. The choreography in StarWars has multiple personality disorder at best. Ahsoka saber choreography looks practical & functional. As a martial artist myself, I appreciate this style more than the Prequel stuff.

We‘ve seen 7 episodes of Ahsoka now and at this point i‘m so confident that Theory just didn’t watch Rebels at all and just hates when for example Ezra isn’t using his lightsaber or whatever happens, which includes Rebels stuff. This was such a solid episode and i was looking forward to his episode ranking, but this is just stupid 💀

I thought it was good, not great. Wouldn't say it was lame but since theres only 1 episode left not really enough happened. I also dont feel a ton of chemistry between sabine and ezra like there should be. Also weird that she was content to just chill and not really explain what was going on and how she got there. Wanted to see more of what baylan is searching for, whats going on with the night troopers, they didnt die like the undead inquisitor. Idk most of my issues come with knowing we have one episode left and thatll probably be an hour at best. Ahsoka is getting better as a character, seems to be happier and more content and not moping so much anymore about the past. Ezra actor is great, want more of him and know what else hes been up to on this planet. Just so much to cover still of backstory and so much left to come. If we had 10 episodes i would be less worried

Most have tried to look deep into this show, but it’s pretty basic. We dissect everything but they don’t really give us anything substantial in return. It’s not terrible, we’ve all seen worse, but it’s been pretty vague story telling.

Even ROTS had some duels that weren’t that great, like the grievous fight and the mace fight, even though that one had tons of emotion to save it

Nothing disney has made has been as good in terms of lightsaber duels, that is why people keep saying its not as good as the prequels, because the prequels was the highlight of lightsaber combat.
And btw was def nothing wrong with obiwan vs grevious. The fight with mace vs sidious was ok but there i can agree it could have been a bit better, but it suffered from the fact that Ian Mcdermid couldnt do the moves, so they used a double and made a pretty crappy cgi face on him.. Plus ian did some fighting and you can really tell its not that good. Especially dislike the first part where he so easy kills like 3 jedi masters. That was lame. So as you can see, i dont consider the prequels flawless. But 9/10 lightsaber duels are great in them. Disney dont have nothing on them. Thus, it would benefit them to hire someone like Nick gillard or someone else with the same expertise. Go watch obiwan vs anakin in rots and then watch like rey vs kylo ren or sabine vs shin hati or whatever from the disney star wars.. No way that anyone can think its even on the same level..
Tell me you didn't actually watch Rebels, without telling me you didn't watch Rebels. It's almost as if theory just looked at cliffnotes for the Rebels show and only watched the Vader highlight scenes on youtube

I mean I liked the episode it wasn’t as high as the last 3 for me but when Ezra said “the force is my ally” I thought that was dope as hell and made sense to me but to each his own.

i loved this episode sm, everyone can have opinions but i was so excited and joyful to see every scene! i absolutely agree with the way they've handled ezra's character thus far, along with all of the others. it feels like the part of starwars that ended when rebels was over has finally returned. I'm so happy as a longtime fan!
Finally a positive comment. I love the show as well. Rebels is amazing. I've watched it 3 times and really think the live action versions are portrayed accurately
Ezra is meant to be something special. They make it clear in Rebels BUT he should have been stronger. He’s older. Believes the force is ally. He wasn’t throwing peeps around. My only issue. Episode was great
Ezra cannot be allowed to look special because they want Sabine to be the “special one.” It is pretty sad that KK story group deemed a lightsaber wielding Ezra as a problematic male so they just made his character refuse to take his own lightsaber back. That was dumb and contrived. Even Sabine’s character was saying don’t joke around take back your lightsaber and kick butt. Alas Ezra gets taken out by a single Shin force push. Sad.
Completely agree this episode sucks. All of you need to sit down and rewatch. So first of all the nightsisters have a magical device to find people and they use it to find ahsoka after letting her leave? Plus why the hell did he send Sabine to find Ezra if Thrawn has this witch power at hand to FIND anyone he wants? And dont tell me now he did that to make them waste time cuz he had years on that planet to kill ezra (since he can easily find him).

I can’t believe you gave it a 4/10!!!! That’s crazy, I really enjoyed it and thought you would’ve too! D: for me, was it mostly filler? Yes. HOWEVER just because an episode is filler doesn’t automatically make it bad!!! This was the first episode IMO in the series that was filler and it was a fun episode!!! Watching this on my home theater was so much fun!!! It was at least a 7/10 for me.

A lot of missed opportunity in this episode with Ezra. If force is his ally and it’s been 10 years of him training with only force abilities, he should be way stronger than that. Shin completely wrecked him with a force push. I hope they make up for it in the finale
