I never said she couldn't bringer volume up because im fully aware that at times Denise could sing as loud as she pleased.

And Niecy is a natural soprano who was labeled after singing like Diana Ross because her soprano tone was so rich and unmatched....Dorinda‘s voice is just completely sick 😂 even tho she’s not a true natural natural soprano like Karen, Niecy and Twinkie, she still held it down and sang her heart out! Don't get me wrong, I love when Dorinda Soprano, but like you said, Denise, Karen and Twinkle are Natural Sopranos. Those three sound exactly alike and you can only distinct the voices when you see them sing live.
I taking Denise on this because her soprano note had so many layers to it. But Jacky's alto notes on this is everything to me. I love the way her voice moves like an ocean with the waves going in and out, especially on "Lord oh Lord oh Lord."
#1 It's Twinkie for me all day and night. There's something about that clean tone, it's almost childlike and the texture of her voice is indescribable. #2 Denise comes in at a CLOSE second. There's something about her airy voice that completes not just the song, but the overall Clark sound that Twinkie imagined and created. She has a Motown sound, almost like Diana Ross. I'm just wondering if she would have stayed in the group, how her voice would have matured. Her snd karen were the high sopranos and dorinda and Jacky were the low sopranos and Twinkie was the middle having the most extensive range out of all her sisters. All 5 sisters are natural sopranos. Niecy always held down Soprano, but also sung Alto with Jackie or Dorinda when needed. She and Twinkie have always had range. I know a lot of people don't realize, or remember, that Niecy and Twinkie was always on the road more singing with the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark more than the others.
I love them all. Twinkie tone in the Saturday Nite Sing performance sounded similar to Denise. Gotta love Dorinda. The way riffs and runs through both her full voice and falsetto. I think the key to the Clark Sister's magic is their consistent harmony. The most MAGICAL Clark Sound will ALWAYS be Karen & Neicy on top, Dorinda and Jacky on alto, and Twinkie on the bottom. Also, there's a difference between singing a soprano part and being a soprano, which is another reason I will always default to Auntie Niecy on the top. It just fits like a glove.
