This conversation is in class of its own. Two people humble enough to get out of the way and let something greater come through. Benjamin, you are, in my opinion, one of the best interviewers on the net.
This particular conversation is a beautiful gift.

I dont comment on things much but i thought I should leave a token of deep appreciation.
Its simply not possible to put into words on what levels this conveesarion resonated with me.
Thank you for this interview. I wish i could have somone like him to reach out to for guidance cause god knows right now i need it more than ever and i am uncertain wether it is a spritual death and rebirth i am going trough or just death and my material form will fallow.
Nevertheless, i feel there's more here to explore and learn in one conversation than some entire books. Blessed are those who truly know him. And blessed are you Ben for bringing this to us.

@@alexszaloki I know what you’re experiencing and it is definitely not in vain even though it feels that way… until it doesn’t. Remember what Jordan said about the feelings and there is no wisdom without suffering, no light without burning. There are many who suffer with you in spirit. Blessings on your journey.

what an outstanding interview, I love the way Jordan's mind works and I love how you brought the conversation down to comprehensible level and then let it build from there (as opposed to his interviews with that rationalist/brainbuster community who seem to always start at 10 and try to find additional notches from there)
seriously, really well done by both of you; that's some solid podcasting

Just a beautiful conversation, truly. Thank you. For what it’s worth, I’m also a disciple of Christ (or at least ever continually seeking to be such) and more specifically a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints (i.e. a Mormon). There is so much misconception about the Latter-day Saint movement but what I want to say is THIS conversation is what we are about. This is the very same message of Christ that we preach and seek after. It was incredibly edifying, humbling, and instructive to listen to and see the character of Christ exemplified in you both.

Jordan, Schmactenberger, Vervake, Wheal (the latter two on JBP very recently!), McGilchrist, et al. But my 'quibble', I guess, is how to deal with this stuff as a sungle individual in an age headed toward a 'Fourth Turning' or whatever. That whole 'well adjusted in a profoundly sick society...no mark of health' thing.

Hi Jordan, can you game this out? If we “hoe a pandemic” by hobbling human beings innate immune system and ability to train itself. If we interfere with the natural progress of the virus through blocking measures, what are the consequences? Here’s one scenario we can observe in real time; by blocking its natural progress to endemicity, we are forcing the virus to mutate, wildly, in an effort to bypass those blocking mechanisms. For the virus to survive and reach endemicity we have caused it to mutate into versions that trick our innate immune systems, bypass our natural defences and force a twist to a more virulent strain from a previously infectious one. Intra host rather than inter host. What’s the result? Endemicity achieved. How? By extinction event and civilisation collapse in one. Who, is paying attention?
