- Father of the EY employee Anna Sebastian Perayil, Sibi Joseph shared some important details about the ‘workload’ of her daughter. He said, “She joined there on March 18. After one week, she started the regular auditing. There are 6 audit teams in EY Pune and she was included in the 6th team. The assistant manager allotted and the Audit Manager reviewed the work. She had to work late into the night. After reaching back to her PG also, she had to do additional work which was not concerned with her work. She was not getting time to sleep and eat. She was stressed and she had work pressure. The manager did not review the work on time, he did it on his schedule. He is a cricket fan and he changed his schedule according to the match schedule. And because of that, she had to sit late to complete the work assigned to her. She used to cry on the phone that she could not work with so much tension and stress. We asked her to resign and come back. She decided to continue because she said that she was getting more

Heart felt condolences to Anna’s family, may her soul rest in peace
Companies are going against the nature. Today they will ask to work till 12.30am.. tomorrow 1.30, next month 3.30. They will ask to work in lunch time. They will ask not to talk about family members. I have also faced such stress at infosys
*Arrest Chairman, CEO , COO & Head of HR on M.U.R.D.E.R. charges. All they care about is their bonus , high salaries & perks.*
Hire 1, Pay of 2, Work of 3. Will continue to practise the same, but press releases will project a changed organisation with better attitudes & approach.
I agree, automatically all companies will become alright
All companies are doing that today.
So the government should take strict action against all companies.
Lot of sympathy for you sir.
Maximum exploitation , this is a criminal offence !
EY has a very bad record. They have a hire and fire policy. A competant authority should carry out the medical audit of the female employees which will reveal the true character of the company culture. If a proper survey is carried out, many more similar cases will be disclosed.
At the same time the professionals should not neglect their responsibility.
This is NOT just IT .. its the INDIAN WORK CULTURE. There is NEPOTISM, FAVORITISM, POLITICS etc.
Its TOXIC.
If your kids are working in such an environment, know for sure that there will be OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDs which will kill'em
Problem is there is no unity among employees, all get selfish. There are companies where entire union doesn't work if they dint get their particular meal and dish. India was agriculture based country, we chose to accept stressful, unhealthy work culture. I faced 8 companies toxicity building every year, it's people mentality that bad things can't repeat, something is wrong with the person who faces toxicity. I worked for 8 years, I avoided all toxic people, it's peaceful. No HR, Management, friends, family, literally no one helps in most of the cases.
Employees have given too much liberty to Management to get exploited. Quitting is always a solution I consulted a variety of people be it lawyer, counselor etc etc. I used to become prime target becoz I never chose to be slave, so I maintained a journal n kept a record so that I can always defend myself, I always won.
Hate the work culture in Big4s...it's toxic.
Pvt companies squeeze the employees. Though manual auditing is obselete, computer is used which is more stressful and asking of job quantity is ever increasing.
The work culture in many many many corporates are TOXIC
It is time the Govt or Society steps in to correct
For the sake of our youngsters
There was a bas---- who when I first joined a corporate as a 23 year old youngster greeted me by saying You don't look serious
This fellow who was a Asst Manager then was not in the board that interviewed and appointed me
Albight for the same dept he was working
Throughout the two years I worked with him he was in this mode
Some of these guys are psychopaths
And the only thing in their head is promotion or salary raise
And for that they are ready to trample on anyone
There is no work life balance in Indian companies. Europe has a better system compared to other countries i think.
Condolences
EY too much pressure even for HR, I personally know this.
Employees of all big4 status is same
