@SummerAustria personally I looked in a big group I'm in at a discussion which was saying the same thing Chris said... that is not what I'd heard prior though.
Apparently this is the official ruling currently... 2) Missed Mandatory Game Actions We're talking things like readying your characters and gaining lore from locations here. Anything that is meant to happen without the players having a choice in it, and is not a triggered ability. Of course, due to players being humans who mess up, these things can be missed too! However, since they are not triggered abilities, the fix can actually be a bit more complicated. Missing location lore gain, for example, is a missed mandatory game action and would be called a General Rules Error (GRE). If you look at the remedies for a GRE in the Play Corrections Guide, you'll see that the only permitted way to fix that type of error is through a full rewind back to the Set Step of the Beginning Phase, or else play on without gaining the missed lore. If the error was noticed pretty quickly, this kind of rewind can be trivial to perform but (depending on how powers are delegated in Seattle) may require authorization from an Appeals Judge or Deputy Head Judge. Rewinds are also not guaranteed. If too much time has passed or certain kinds of unknown information have been revealed, a rewind may not be appropriate. Note that judges cannot just ready a character in the middle of a turn because it should have been all along. They cannot just give you missing lore because you should have had it. That is not how the Play Corrections for Lorcana work. It is a complete rewind or nothing. Additionally, a GRE that involves missed mandatory game actions is likely to result in a warning for both players for not maintaining an accurate board state - even if that error cannot be fixed through a rewind.
My stores in the area had either huge turn out or crap turn out. One place was calling people at the start time begging them to come in so they would have 8. They gave out the Mirabel immediately and everyone left. Others played games with registration and refused to let people sign up unitl 30 minutes before the event and told walk ins they werent welcome then wondered why no on showed up. Alot put the championship on the wrong say completely then didnt update anyone when they changed it. Whole thing was a massive joke tbh and i live near chicago, so its not like im in so podunk town
@@thenerdcaveyt not your fault at all. I was lucky and the places I chose to play, didn't have issues but we ran into a lot of people with them at the events and the local discords in the area. Out of the 30 stores, I've only hit 5 championships so far, 3 were larger, 25+. 2 were smaller, with 8 at 1 and 12 at another. Honestly the smaller events were more fun. The larger events had a lot of players who drove 3+ hrs to get there and compete and a lot of teams. The smaller ones everyone was just there to have fun and play and they were honestly more open to even talking strategy or helping you improve. As a newer player that was pretty helpful
@JaysBucket haha yes, yes it is by a bunch. Thanks so much, it's always cool to open an enchanted & i don't have a shere so it's neat. Love the jungle book!
It's an interesting take on the deck for sure. I am fairly new in the game, but I want to build a collection towrds this deck. Until I get there, do you have any advice for a more budget friendly list?
@Rasmus.Elnegaard to be honest if you don't play enchanteds & foils the deck is only about $200 which in the grand scheme for a competitive deck is in what I would consider the budget range. I know that's still a lot but I say that because some decks can get to $5-$600+. You could definitely cut the 2 big elsa 1 5th Spirit elsa and play a little lower to the ground with a couple more brooms & another kuzco. There's also the option to play something like super good which is inexpensive but in reality it would only reduce the total cost by around $40 to about $160 total. It would be hard for me to give up anything else from this list & feel it will run how it should. There's maybe an argument for going to 3 be prepared if you're playing more characters to the board which would save you like another $10 or so I think. Anyway, hope this helps! 😀
@keilanimaka7782 yeah I think the turnout has still been pretty solid. All my local shops did have 8-10 less people than last champs but definitely not dead.
@@Allhailrich1501 i actually just built an amber ruby decl for John & I'll be talking about it soon on the channel. We'll have to compare notes when the video drops! 😀
@pnwgamerguy8030 lol, yes I can assure that was not me but given that (especially with my haircut) I look like generic chunky Irish guy #4 it doesn't surprise me. 😆 🤣
@cardiffgiant02 ultimately I think it was because of the high count of 1 drops compared to most lists. The times I didn't have a 2 drop on 2 I typically had another 1 drop to play which was fine because that actually works better with fox on 3.
You can claim lore off of locations at any point during the turn, this has been confirmed by ravensburger
@chrislundrigan725 interesting, that is not how I've seen it judged on in the past but I did look into it further & it seems you're right. Thanks!
@@thenerdcaveyt Do you have a source for this?

@arustyn33dle love that, yeah small events are always my favorite. Very different vibe overall.
@@thenerdcaveyt yea we got caught up in the 2 booster box first place prizing, definitely doing smaller ones going forward
