    Thank you Bahroz for creating this fantastic walkthrough video of the form .
    I do (A) Doordash food delivery as well as (B) have a registered Sol Proprietor business doing some birthday photography.
    I drove 2500 km for A-Doordash (+ Fuel cost= $500) & 1000 km for B-Photography biz (+ Fuel cost= $100).
    Correct me if I'm wrong, but seems like I have to file and submit 2 separate T2125 forms: 1st one for A (Doordash) & 2nd one for B (Photography).
    If that is the case, then:
    In the T2125 form for (A)-Doordash, under "Total kilometres you drove in the year to earn business income" do I indicate 2500 km (& then further add Fuel & oil= $500 in the respective section)
    &
    In the T2125 form for (B)-Photog biz, under "Total kilometres you drove in the year to earn business income" do I indicate 1000 km (& then further add Fuel & oil= $100 in the respective section)
    OR
    is it that after creating & submitting the 2 separate T2125 forms: 1st one for A (Doordash) & 2nd one for B (Photography), on both of those 2 forms I should repeat the same total amount as follows:
    "Total kilometres you drove in the year to earn business income" = 3500 KM (i.e. 2500km + 1000km)
    "Fuel and oil" = $600 (i.e $500+ $100)
    Thank you so much in advance for reading this and giving me your invaluable insights!!

      @@bahroz If I may ask, just to confirm... You mean to say, for instance, as for my T2125 for Doordash, I should ONLY indicate the 2500 km that I drove doing JUST Doordash (as opposed to km 3500, that's Doordash + Photog biz).
      Reason for asking again is b/c T2125 asks for "[TOTAL] kilometres you drove in the year to earn business income" & wasn't 100% sure.
      Thank you so much again!

    • @bahroz
      @bahroz  Місяць тому +2

      Hi Thanks for reaching out..
      1) for the quick method you still need to know what was the GST / HST - here is an example: Example: A ride-share partner/driver in Ontario has total (gross) fares during the reporting period of $10,000..... The GST/HST rate in Ontario is 13%, so $1,300 was charged and collected during the reporting period. Using the Quick Method rate for Ontario of 8.8%, the partner/driver is required to remit net tax of $994.40. ($10,000 + $1,300) X .088 = $994.40...
      2) in the field where it says gross income you need to put in your gross income which includes GST/HST... then in the GST/HST line you enter GST / HST so it gets deducted from the gross number - yes the commission comes in the expense part...

    • @bahroz
      @bahroz  Місяць тому +1

      you only mention in GST/HST the amount that you collected which is part of your gross income so in 25,034.99 what ever is the GST/HST portion you enter that in the GST/HST line...

And if I use the car to make some other income! I used it to commute to where I made the extra income which I reported! Should I repeat the insurance I paid for the entire year for the car? To sum up, if I include insurance as an expense for uber income, should the same number be used for lyft? I am asking because it seems to be repetition!
