So I just acquired one of these red emeralds. I’m very excited to have it and watch it grow with the bigger leaves. Another one you’d enjoy if you don’t have one yet is the golden goddess. It’s another wonder philodendron that gives bigger leaves as it grows up the moss pole
Yayyy, congrats on getting an red emerald!🎉 I've been looking into getting the golden goddess or the thai sunrise but I know they can grow to be pretty big and bushy!😅 I'm definitely going to snag one once I have more space to let it grow up a pole🥰
Thanks for all the great tips, I have this red emerald, during the last year it turned all green, i finally put it in more light it is now top growth is coming out red. my question why did it go green.
I'm so happy you found this helpful!🥰 Honestly, I'm not too sure. The only thing I can think of is that it needed more light. And that's only based on my observations with hoyas😅. I'm sorry I cant be of more help!🥲
lol I chickened out since I only have a eastern window and didnt wanna deal with vining plants (hard to treat for pests if it gets longer and longer) . but did the stupid thing of getting a philodendron goldeii which.. probably needs even more light
Surprisingly, it does well in low to medium light! I moved it a while ago and it's growing great.🤩 I do agree that it is harder to treat for pest once it gets bigger but it's so worth it when you see the leaves get bigger and bigger!
whyy are u so underrated i love your channel kween!!
Omg, thank youuuuuuu!🥺🥰💚

I don't have orchid barks , can you suggest any substitute? Btw thanks for this cute n informative video
Coco husk is a great substitute and coarse perlite! Orchid bark isn't necessary, I just like to see larger amendments in my soil🥰
@@KoasPlantCorner thanks a ton ♥️❣️
@@ranjanathakur95 Glad I can help!🥰💕
