Of all the guys Bockwinkel got in the ring with he did his best work with Hogan. Nick was the one guy who could make Hogan look like he could actually wrestle and that's why he was one of, if not the greatest of all time.
Well I never had the pleasure of watching Bockwinkel back then. I've only seen videos like this. BUT watching Ric Flair back then and watching them both now on videos Flair was in my opinion the best to ever do it.
This feels like a parallel universe...Hogan chasing a belt the Heenan Family had under tight control. Shouldve been the start of something huge for the AWA.
@@jefferyrandall8030 Look at bockwinkle in 83/ 84 on the stick and in the ring....he was 50. His career in the 70s was awesome as well. Love slick rick...but Nick was smoother on the stick And a better worker.. He was 53 in 87 and went 60 minutes with Hennig...and looked great..
I will go through an advertisement and then ‘Like’ this even before watching this promo. You know why? Because Nick Bockwinkel and Bobby Heenan were the greatest of World Champion & Manager combinations in the history of professional wrestling. And Gene Okerlund, it cannot be denied, as one of the greatest locker room interviewers the AWA groomed and matured. And, uh… Blackjerk Lanza. Three out of four is batting .750, my friends. And that’s Hall of Fame worthy material.

Thanks for the memories guys.
Bockwinkel was one of the all time greatest..End of story.
Totally agree. He was my favorite.
The best ever, in my opinion. The ultimate pro in and out of the ring.
Whether in the ring or behind the mic, Bockwinkle was so smooth. A total thespian or entertainer.

It was huge
Bobby Heenan + Nick Bockwinkle Equals The Best! RIP You 2.

Ric Flair #1 all time heel champion
@@kyloren5799 Bockwinkle was better in the ring and on the stick.
@@josephcebelinski1968 Have to disagree. Flair was the best cutting a promo and in the ring dude sold like crazy.
