Same took a while but also dropped first time which surprised me took me 8 times to get leggings from WC did both as lvl24, Issue I see where he mentions pulling the whole boat is that the mobs do respawn.
Was really dreading running over to west fall and running dm to get smite hammer as a horde Druid, but got super lucky and fist of the wild dropped for me tonight first time in bfd!
After a bit of practice i managed to skip all bosses as a 25 feral. you can click every lever through the doors and open them. you break stealth if you click so you have to be careful with the bosses position. in a smooth run you can solo Mr. Smite in under 20min
@@tableslamit’s been a thing to do since original Vanilla. It has to do with the Camera and determining your characters location Like using it to get into scholomance. I have never gotten the key lol
@@JH-fd9xt yeah there's a spot near the final ramp up to the top deck that you can use as a juggle spot, you basically jump off the far side of the top deck (the side with the exit portal) and land on the ledge underneath. the boss and adds will run down the scaffolding, down the ramp which connects to that ledge, and travel along the ledge to get to you. you kite them the rest of the way around the ledge and jump back down to the scaffolding and run back to the top deck, the boss and adds turn around and come back the way they came to go back up top. takes forever but it works
There are several boss fights where the bear bleed rune would be handy imo. Except from the shredder who is immune. The goblin in the forge for instance as you are almost always kiting his ability you would speed up a lot
I like how your player/target frames show HoT incoming heals, I just been playing with SuF for so long I can't get used to other addon frames. Unfortunately all the addons I've tried to fix SuF not showing incoming HoT predictions haven't worked :(
I have two different ones: ClassicHealPrediction and HealBarsClassic - Hotfix, and tbh i'm not sure which one is actually showing. I think CHP is disabled so I'm pretty sure it's HBC
There is a way to duo feral kobrahan for his pants, maybe druid+rogue, why not (never tried it solo tbh). It took us 25 runs to get pants for both of us (duo feral). Each run being 6-7 min only, but you can do only 5 dungeons per hour. Mail belt and pants stated 17% drop rate both, but in the end it was 11 belts, 2pants and rest 12 is green robe. So you can sell belt drop to warriors or paladins, need to clear first couple packs at entrance.
Cobrahn is soloable, that was the first solo gear farm i did and is the easiest and most straightforward of the solo farms, to the point where a video on it is unnecessary
in this video i was 0/16/0, normal open world spec, not specifically tailored for soloing dungeons at all, just a normal build. for raids i'm omen powershift spec tho

Just wanna point out that Smite does actually have thrash, saw in another video when he almost 1 shot the druid, did 5 hits in swing. So wouldn't risk it at least, not worth the greed and then get 1 globaled.
You can just kite it to the entrance of the room and range it with sunfire going up and down the ledge you can ignore the adds and everything and take no damage. That’s how I was soloing mine.
I could see him getting thrash when he has the 2 axes equipped, but maybe I just didn't get hit when he had the axes on so I didn't notice. Every time I got hit by him it was a single hit
If you do kill the mobs who run away in the forge room its best to just use the sunfire glyph imo. Not only does it leave a dot that might kill em, but u dont have to chase em down. I also think if you simply tanking the first couple bosses in bear form it might be better to use sunfire in bear form over mangle, but thats a bit feelscrafty
If you pool energy properly there isn't much chasing to begin with, they start to run and you burst them the rest of the way down with the energy you've pooled. And glove rune doesn't really matter very much in bear, all 3 options do mediocre damage, doesn't make a significant difference for soloing dungeon bosses in my experience (I've tried all three)
@@tableslam Ahh yea, I also remember from your SFK vid that we're diff specs. I run the omen + furor build and when Mangle and Sunfire are equal in cost I think Sunfire definitely does more dmg (assuming you let it tick). Right now my mangle bear is doing like 105 while my Sunfire does like 85 + 3 ticks for 48, but seeing as you have cheaper mangle I could see that balancing it out. Love the vids!
Maybe so, but there's a way to skip it entirely. Stealth up to the door and mess with the camera angle to click to door lever through the door (its on the left side of the doorway) but wait for any mobs to be far enough away that they won't instantly aggro when you hit the lever
@@p.p.wienersson yeah its a pretty common source of confusion. easiest way is to open your spellbook and along the top edge there should be an option with a checkbox to show all spell ranks. select that and you'll be able to see rank 1 moonfire, which is the rank that will turn into Sunfire (Cat). alternatively you can make a macro for /cast Moonfire(Rank 1) and when you have Sunfire equipped it will automatically turn into Sunfire (Cat) when you enter cat form
Worth it if you have an opportunity to get a Rip on him, a 5pt SR should last long enough to get to 5 and get a Rip on him before SR drops, that's why I still use SR. Doesn't always work out that way, but if you're doing the kite properly Regrowth + Rejuv is plenty and your mana has plenty of time to regen
It's cool that this is possible but I think it's much easier to just do the dungeon as a tank without inviting any warriors/paladins/shamans that would typically need on the hammer.
Well on my experience It doesn't matter what Item It drops, EVERYONE is greeding It. It doesn't matter If only you need It. Everyone always greed. So yeah the possibility to solo bosses with a Druid is amazing.
@@AdrianDrott i have been soloing vancleef though, just with a different spot/technique. you know that ledge halfway down the boat people sometimes jump to on the way down to fight cookie? if you follow that ledge clockwise around the ship you get back to the scaffolding ramp thing that leads to the top deck. so you can use that pathing to kite vancleef and his adds - when you jump down to that ledge, they run down the scaffolding to that ledge and come at you from there. you can kite them counter-clockwise on that ledge and eventually jump down to the platform next to the big wheel, and then go back up to the top. the boss and adds will turn around and run all the way back around to go back up the ramp and up to the top deck. takes forever, to the point of it being faster to just run the dungeon with a regular group, but it's possible and it's the way i've been soloing him just for fun lol
Yeah fair, I ran DM a few times yesterday and it goes so fast that I think even soloing smite might not be worth it if you know for sure you'll get the hammer. I love finding out all these cool tricks about the dungeon tho! Made a machinima about it back in the day, who knew I missed out on so many secrets?! Will forever love this dungeon.@@tableslam

For chok'sul find an evade spot near his spawn (there should be a nearby ledge that has a banner next to it, jump on top of the banner). Kill one add, evade reset. Heal/drink, kill second add, evade reset. Now you're 1v1 against chok'sul
nothing special tbh, it's just my regular open world build. 5/5 ferocity, 5/5 stealth/threat talent, 2/2 move speed, 3/3 crit, 1 flex point. i didn't set up a specific spec just for doing these runs, it's just whatever i had on at the time
I was just in my normal open world build, nothing specifically tailored for doing runs like this. I've done these runs in both my open world spec and my raid spec without noticing too much of a difference between the two
either way takes a while. in some dungeons you can logout skip back to the start, but since deadmines has two separate instance portals, one at the start and one at the end, i'm not sure if logout skipping in the docks area would actually send you to the start, or if it would just put you in front of the exit portal. you could stealth back towards the front and logout skip as soon as you're closer to the entrance portal than the exit portal though, that way it's not a full run back and you also don't have to exit and run back through the entrance tunnels

I use Easy Frames and Neat Plates currently, been thinking about switching back to Threat Plates though. I got Neat Plates for hardcore because they had a blizzlike skin, but I prefer the functionality of Threat Plates
@@GameRelapse i literally just run default lol all Easy Frames does is move your name to on top of the frame and combines the OG name bar with the OG health bar, and colors it based on your class. it's basically just a slightly modified default frame
I did this for my own hammer before I had set foot in BFD, so you def don't need raid gear to be able to do it. Even now I haven't gotten the feral weapon from BFD yet, I had Smite's on for the run I recorded for this video
i literally talk about that exact thing in the video, yes you can do it, but you can't just hit him and run straight to the end of the dock, he will reset. so you have to continuously hit him as you're bringing him to the kite spot so he won't reset, which is difficult because he moves very fast and will catch up to you quickly
I had a quick look ok around youtube, there is some old vids from 2019 of rogues and hunters soloing him using parhing. Hard to explain in a comment, but basicly they drop down onto a ledge that goes around the ship, then onto the wooden ramparts before the boss and rinse and repeat, think this will be do able with sunfire !
Just level from 18 to 22 or something till u get the hammer and then move to sfk farming till u get the ring. You are a windfury provider, people want you

Spend 20 minutes to run one boss with no social interactions, no gold income, and no actual thrill of playing the game or squad up a 4 man squad and do smite runs that take 10min a run. But playing the game is crazzzzy right?

100% recommend tank rune + lifebloom to solo any content
deadly boss mods does have a timer for the stun on the first boss. also Bring mana pots and stat scrolls!
if you're going to juggle the docks use starsurge with sunfire and forget cat, just toss on int gear.

No point to use savage roar at smite, cuz its for melee dmg and sunfire is nature, lifebloom is very mana efficient and can be used instead

One more thing , survival of the fittest goes a long way on these fights, making cat form easier to use.

Group runs a def faster, and you can run as tank and res it if you want (as tank). People who dont like res items just dont join

I saw another video where smite did thrash and hit a guy for 120-126 x 5. I think he was just hitting you often enough that he didnt do it.
I think it's related to which weapon(s) he has equipped at the time, and I just got lucky enough to not get hit by him during his thrash phase
