    would have liked to see you rebuild with the Devilbiss kit. the O rings and washers are the challenging part to rebuilds.

    I have a tekna basecoat spray gun with the blue body and it has a minor air leak, what can it be? Maybe the air valve is broken from what I heard on this video

    Hey question. My FLG4 just suddenly started leaking out the spray tip. Cannot stop it. What happened. I do not see a combustible part that needs replaced ever 6 uses. But I did dig out some crap which looked like primer colored gunk out of the area of the gun behind the spray head. It had needed to be cleaned since I was using it to spray primer with just on one car. But I did not see any soft gasket bushing or a filter? Someone said it was the filter. I don't use a filter. So possibly why it needed to be cleaned. Perhaps it was the packing nut. Would it turn to gunk? It fell all apart when I dug it out. hmmmm. HELP! I cannot paint!

    for my tekna prolite it says hold the trigger in while removing cap, or installing the cap, can't remember. many manuals refer to that step and I can't figure out why because the needle is protected by the fluid tip. anyways it's in the manual fyi

    • @RepairRefinishTV
      @RepairRefinishTV  6 років тому

      Yep holding trigger in or removing needle is the best way to prevent wear and tear on the needle.

      +Don Mason hi, in this video im using pure thinners. I tend not to use recycled thinners when cleaning guns.

    • @eksine
      @eksine 6 років тому +1

      usually it's automotive grade lacquer thinner.
