God help him find that he needs to study more and grow much much more as a player before he becomes a winner at high stakes against people like Vibes!
@@YallaMiami Most deff! Imo he is skill barely for 1/2 live. He is very loose without even thinking, always makes weird strategies like thinking he can hit trips with a 3% chance not counting implied odds. Plus I honestly don’t know how he is bankrolled to play stakes that high. I think he should invest in training from a good pro or God forbid he will be back to his early days of delivering pizza.

His post-game skill is good, but in-game skill is a bit...optimistic.

Little bit of a punt session. Helps to see the cards obviously. It's interesting as it speaks to how comfortable you've gotten at these stakes. Your lines made sense and I'm sure get you paid in many many other spots. Still, great vlog as always Mariano.

Great playing! On that KQ hand even though the side pot is dry, does it not make more sense to bet big and fold to a raise? I mean you're likely not getting called by a 9 or 10s regardless of the size, and if he's got a Queen he's snapping you off. Seems to be a perfect overbet spot and fold to a raise there. But I don't play these stakes so i'd love to hear what other people think about that.
Idk, I think dry side pots are an unexplored territory
@@MarianoPoker Honestly that isn't a situation i've been in often enough either. Would be very curious what the collective "best move is". Great vlog regardless my man!
A bit late, but I think "theory" goes out the window in this case. I don't think it's possible to be balanced here because it's never a good idea to bluff into a dry side pot. You're basically only getting called by this very small subsection of hands that have enough value to call but not enough to raise.
Having said that, being balanced isn't necessarily the most important thing. If you think there's a chance the villian will only call(or fold of course) with anything but the super nuts, there's some merit to betting for value with your value hands even if you never bluff in the same spot. It comes up so rarely that I doubt anyone is adjusting to this deviation.
unhelpful in the moment, but gotta remember running like a sunlord this time last year. You alluded to it on your outro but it would be cool to hear more how you are processing the human emotion side of variance in poker (especially when moving up stakes). we appreciate all your hard work + sharing in the last 16 months

Vlogs like this give legitimacy to the big winning vlogs. e.g. you give the strategic commentary but end up losing the hand several times. But that's how poker strategy actually is. Keep it up 👍🏽

Next level stuff for me! I like your analysis and the way you throw out possible cards that you could be representing, and also what you think you're going to be representing!
My only issue is of course the KQ hand against Francisco...the logic of him having J10 with a bet & shove in front of him possibly drawing dead is kinda absurd! His hand is ALWAYS a Q especially when the action is opened back up to Mariano. As good as Mariano is...and I think he's absolutely a crusher...was very surprising to see him butcher that one as bad as he did
Also in game I could see misplaying a hand...but the analysis after the fact is also brutal..."I didn't think he was strong, he could have a 9" huh??? Bet/shove/call with a 9?!?!?!
Keep it up Mariano. You are becoming more comfortable in the table playing these high stakes the reason I am saying that is because you have a lot of guns in your arsenal and you can make a weak hand in to a winning hand. Credits to you! Letssss goooo

You’re risking 200k in one session, yet, you choose to rent an 800 sq feet cool apartment in Anaheim!
Mariano is smart, but like the rest of us, he won't understand this until he's older
The 6c4c hand surely has to be a check on the river. You mention you're getting value from worse but are you really? Stubborn sets and 2 pair have to fold to any bet.
Even though it didn't work out the overbet bluff in the A10 vs AQ hand was a nice play!

I think the bet with 64c is also fine since on that board there can be some TXc or JXc hands that, while they also made a flush, aren't quite in love with a 4-flush board either and might fold. Q is probably the lowest club you're getting a call from, and he just happened to have that.

Fantastic channels hermano! I have a quick suggestion and again im not a pro or ever ever played as big as you have. With that in mind I want to make an observation Mariano and that is "Why do you keep playing and raising those trash hands and keep saying dont do this... then you end up flopping and putting ur self in very difficult spots that you may not have the skilled to maneuver well. Have u analyzed ur play and seen that u put urself quite a bit often on those spots? Just be patient, think well and play good hands. I think that will erase some of the show hands u want to show and make u win more. Bendiciones!

I was watching that stream. The commentator couldn't understand why you had bet so little with the KQ on the river. I thought it was pretty obvious that you'd have to assume that if a player had the case queen, it would be DK; who shoved the turn. So you'd have to bet an amount that could be called by a hand less than trips. Sometimes other players just make bizarre moves that mess with the dynamics of the hand.
You got a good bluff in with that missed flush draw against the counterfeited two pair.
