Always liked this song (and many others you have featured - still learning Deacon Blues) I will certainly look forward to trying to get it down on acoustic. Its such a joy to to see and feel what a song is made of having appreciated it for years, but not known its musical construction. Keep up the excellent work, Hi from the UK. Celebrate one of the most poetic lyric lines ever - "inventing lovers on the phone" Also, I wonder who did the rather clever chord type guitar solo/interlude in the original??
Hey there. Thanks for the nice comments. I'd have to look that up about the guitar solo part. Nice to hear from across the pond. My family came from the Shropshire area in the 1600s and I would love to go some time.
