Augie I watched you when I was a kid back in the bmx and bike delivery days, now I watch you as a young adult in the Studio Augie days. I just want to say that you are a pivotal roll model in my photography and throughout my life, so thank you. Please keep up the great work.
No one’s judging you for making a mundane day cinematic and insightful man. Everyone has days at home. Not everyone makes a piece of out of it. Love it
Episodes like this mean a lot to me dude. Im based in London, a lot of my old friends have got married, bought houses in cheaper places with their partners. I'm living cheaply, trying to follow my dreams, Im not one to compare myself to others, but its hard not to sometimes. Seeing you live differently to pursue your dreams gives me confidence that im doing the right thing, and there's people like me all around the world. So just wanted to say thankyou for inspiring and good luck with your journey.
Hey brother I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your content. I’m 23 almost watching since I was 14,15 and wow man you’ve inspired me and there should be no apologies for uploading. It’s always a movie. Don’t blame yourself for the camera getting stolen though. That’s someone else’s Karma, they could have hurt you if you’d had noticed or someone else. Gratefulness always outweighs bad self talk!
bro get a natural gas camping stove, they're fairly inexpensive and start making rice and beans. Beans are high in protein and really cheap. You can buy the dehydrated ones and let them sit out in a bowl of water and then cook them once they become soft. Luckily I have a wife that kinda handles that for me otherwise I'd cook the canned beans. Your protein deficit will get better over and you can even use a camping stove to cook things like eggs and chicken and steak. That way you don't have to rely on peoples kitchens to eat that stuff. And it will save you a crazy amount of money. Also get a crock pot very inexpensive but it opens up your options like crazy and its one of those things you just dump the ingredients in there and forget about it during the day and come back to a warm meal. Love ya bro!
Hey dude idk if you read comments, but regarding your shower situation, I was in a similar position without a shower. Something that helped me out was building a curtain rod over a pretty large wash bucket, and heating up water in a METAL pump sprayer. I was able to make 5 gallons at a time and it was always more than enough to shower. The setup broke down easily too. I hope this comment finds you well and good luck
Scrolling through youtube wondering if there’s anything good to watch. Seeing this upload made me really miss you. I was a young kid watching you years ago. I do hope your situation and your dream become reality. Your one creator that really deserves it. Keep it up man.
I literally just went to check your channel about 20 min ago to see if you'd uploaded anything today. I'm really loving these man. You're on to something here.
I'm being so serious when I say watching your videos and seeing your chemistry with Tonka is really inspiring me to want to get a dog, a bestfriend of my own. I just think life would be much less empty with a companion like him. - Very long time viewer since the og bmx days, all love Augie
Aug you could get your self a little camping stove, I have one in the back of my van and its a nice way to make some 1 pot meals. A mini fridge would be cool too for some veg x
credit is due good ser. Since I started watching your stuff I've gotten back into the analog things I love. Skating, 35mm, writing...etc Appreciate your existence mate.
I first subbed to you Dec 30, 2016 and used to watch your vlogs everyday, good to see you've returned and still have the same good vibes and the world has beaten you down too hard! I can't wait for each upload yet to come.
Don't know if you read these, but dude those "shit" photos are awesome - especially that 1st one. I feel like it could be a perfect album cover. The India one with the cat is awesome too. I would love for you to make a video about the photos that you consider your favourite of all time (8:00)! That would be so cool to see.
i love the breakdown of the photos, would really enjoy hearing more about what you see as a "good" photo and aspects that you feel are essential in making one
love you broski! i love the shift in videos over the years. im here for it. I LOVE your outlook on life and how persistent you are. keep up the great work my guy!. as a 30+ year old myself this video rang out with me. Cant wait to see what comes from this year for you.
Judge you? This channel is the best man. Really enjoy hearing you talk through this stuff! Does anyone ever get angry when you take their photo? I love the idea of street photography.
My guy--been watching you videos for years, legend. As a guy with a similar build as you, I also struggle to get enough protein. If you get a small plug in induction stove you can make a bunch of easy cheap high protein shit. Lentil soup is a super cheap and easy way to get protein. You can also just heat up some bone broth, thats great in the winter. A cup of bone broth is like $6 and 20G of protein. Beans and rice is a classic too. Another cook free option is canned tuna. Sounds kinda wack but if you get some kale (or spinach), white butter beans, and canned tuna, using the olive oil from the tuna can as dressing, boom you have a bomb high protein salad. Keep doing your thing man.
Been watching your channel since I was a freshman now I’m 26 . You Always been dope as hell, you motivated a lot of people to get out there and Bmx . Life went on and got complicated but glad you stayed doing you.. hope to meet you some day
im always around artists of all defferent backgrounds and methods because of where i live and the uni i go to and its really interesting seeing almost the self deprecating nature of a creative mind. whenever i see a photographer or fine artist or anyone in a different field of creation than me talk down on something that they have made that i wouldn't have the first thought as to where to start it's always a good reflection point for myself as to question why i am sometimes so harsh on my own creative path.
I like the cat photo a ton, but I love the B&W version from that same video. The contrast in that was absolutely perfect. It's got a dystopian vibe to it that felt so neat when I saw the image pop up from the video.
Regarding no kitchen at home. Small fridge/freezer combination unit, and an air fryer will do you wonders. Frozen chicken breasts (defrosted or not) can just be done in an air fryer. Generally cheaper bought frozen and high in protein. Ofc, you can eat whatever but, those two appliances work well together. Thank you for sharing your world with us.
Such a refreshing approach to creating. Feel like im in the minority not knowing you from the past, but stumbled across these videos and really enjoying them
Augie bro I always remember this quote or saying “5 years ago you’d be happy to be where you are right now” I remember the delivery days when it seemed as tho photography was a hobby not a life style and it really seems as tho you’ve grown into the lifestyle and a photographer you’d be proud of years ago.
It's always a good time see you Augie. I swear, my dog came into the room just to listen and see the video. He remembers me watching your videos pre-military. Post military December 2024.
Dope vlog Austin I’m from NY too been watching your content lately very genuine, sorry for your loss definitely try to only use a GH5 or cheaper MFT camera out in public and only use expensive things like that for paid gigs or with safe reliable transportation because to take an L like that sucks man, at least you were able to get a report and credit back on the bright side 🙏🎥 keep creating bro
Hey Augie, Coleman makes a great propane camping stove, super efficient and easy to setup, or even a electric hotplate. That along with a mini fridge or even cooler when you want to store food would be great. That way you can make some fire food yourself and save 80% easy. The amount you spend on food in a year, I could build you a temporary kitchen at that point haha.
Your style is sick my man, excellent creativity. Your narration is great man, real honest about life and deep insight into visual media. The narration fade outs to the next scene are perfect man. I picked up two books, The Wandering Earth and The Mind's Eye. Thanks for the recs.
You’re a beautiful soul augie, you’re sparking my love for photography again… simply cause I admired you for bikes a long time ago Funny thing is I fell off bikes in the recent past, but the past few years I been falling back in love with that too, just a funny coincidence
Use to watch your bmx vlogs dam near all the time as a kid now im 20 with a piss missile crazy how time flys but I’m glad your name popped up on my feed Wish you the best 🙏🏼
Ngl.. been subscribed for probably 10 years maybe longer and I stopped watching maybe 6 years ago... this is the first video I've sat and watched in a very long time and I truly do feel like so much has changed for you bro. it's strange to see when you was always in the camera shop on the electric bikes and down on Melrose with the boys back a few years ago. I'm almost flabbergasted at how different everything is now. I truly do wish you the best and hope that everything works out how you've imagined it too
1:03 I can survive w/o a kitchen, which I did for over ten years in my 20s when I lived in East L.A. However, the saving grace was the amount of affordable street vendors, mainly tacos, at my disposable. However! I would not be able to function w/o a full restroom. Even a shared one.
one of the biggest criticisms people have about the school system is no classes on money management or personal finance, but there are concerns that such classes would naturally entail giving students financial advise, which presents schools with legal issues, and schools don't want to take that risk
Austin it doesn't cost much to eat well. Shop at a good fresh market . Buy yourself an electric grill , grill a piece of chicken and have a salad . Noodles are terrible full of bacteria . And re shower you can buy a portable shower or make one . There are little portable gas hot water units for camping .
Ah that sucks man, my friend has his FX3 stolen a few months ago, and my main 24-70mm lens got taken not long after. Feels like a constant risk being out with a camera on day-to-day basis. keep up the great content anyways, met you a fair few years back on the fit tour when u came to a bike shop I worked at, so it's great to see how your engagement in visual arts has matured and developed over time.
a bit surprised you don't build a simple workbench out of scrap wood, add an induction hot plate, and get a mini fridge to be able to have a kitchen setup. could even take the classic vanlife setup to make a sink 🤷🏾♂
Augie if it helps, the gram of protein per lb of body weight is kind of excessive unless you’re doing hardcore bodybuilding. If you hit like 115-120 you’re golden!
there are clever ways to cook in a studio without a kitchen, buy a second hand combi microwave the one with dual function, a portable electric stove and a kettle and you can prepare many delicious tasty food in our place man.... there are also cheep alternatives to shower in your place. All your posts are inspiring to me. I wish I had the confidence to talk into a camera and do my own. I just never know what to say and kinda freeze. Hate the sound of my own voice 😂
5:37 made me laugh please don't try to eat that much grams of protein. If you're 165 multiply it by 0.7 so it's just 78g and you'll be better than fine (coming from a gym guy)
The last Augie video I watched was the no sound video, you said these mistakes only happened on the youtube videos, this is a $7k professional mistake. Amazing how when we say we'ed never do something, that's when it always happens. It's just like saying the Titanic couldn't be sunk, God, Himself couldn't sink her and she went down on her maiden voyage. Moral of the story? Never say what you're not going to do because you'll find yourself with no choice but doing it later on.

Keep up the great filming and capturing moments. Adding up all the videos per month, you collect a very cool number of views And it will get just better, until you will afford your own bathroom. I know it! Imagine 20k people watching your UA-cam video in the one place, unthinkable amount of people, one cinema hall can accommodate like 100 people at max, so your video watched literally 200’s cinema halls of different human being. Your lifestyle is truly artistic. An artist. I just love these BTW I love the pic of cat in the backpack
Augie I watched you when I was a kid back in the bmx and bike delivery days, now I watch you as a young adult in the Studio Augie days. I just want to say that you are a pivotal roll model in my photography and throughout my life, so thank you. Please keep up the great work.

or just a single induction cooking hob :) it's saver in the studio
Ditto on the rice and beans. I lived off of basmati rice and lintles. Instapot is great, you saute in it also.
No sink no clean
Your growth and honesty with becoming an adult is awesome

Hot plate, mini fridge, weird sink setup with a bucket dumped in the toilet. There’s a kitchen
He needs to watch some prison Tiktok videos. He can easily cook in there and take bird baths

Dude… The way you shoot your videos is super inspiring. Sorry to hear about the stolen camera…. Another great video as always 👊🏻
Slow cookers/crockpots are really nice to have. Don’t take up much room or use alot of energy.
thank u for this augie!

HEY Augie. I don't think you read these but remember to KEEP IT SIMPLE. Theres a beauty when you stop trying so hard. Much love and gratitude bro
Love you Augie, you are an inspiration
Ever thought of an Mini Oven and a Sandwhich Maker? Dont need a Kitchen for those, but they expand your daily Menu. Also they give a lil bit of Heat.
i absolutely love the shot of the girl with the doll. tells such a story even in the texture of the plastic next to her
Augie please re upload your bmx/delivery vlogs there is so much nostalgia
The way you've affected so many people positively that you dont even know
The image at 9:30 looks like a still from a Kiarostami film, maybe from Close-Up. Quite dreamy, warm, familiar feeling.
It’s mad to think that the self critic of those images you shared with us doesn’t recognise it’s own genius behind them. ❤️
one of my biggest inspiration as a photographer and a artist
Enjoying the vlogs. Keep it up buddy
You’re a beautiful soul augie, you’re sparking my love for photography again… simply cause I admired you for bikes a long time ago
Funny thing is I fell off bikes in the recent past, but the past few years I been falling back in love with that too, just a funny coincidence

The insurance company gonna use this video against you
Best part of my day is seeing a new upload
Your videos bring such a calm to my nights, really dig the breaking down of your photos
I look forward to seeing Your videos Augie! Keep up the good work 🔥
This reminded me of the old post mates vids, i absolutely loved them vids dude. Keep it up my man augie

Same
I'm happy with the consistent videos coming out. I've been a follower since day one.

oh man, the last shot!!! GORGEOUS; I've been in my city so long I miss the ocean breeze
keep up the great work 👍

Been a long time since ive been able to earnestly engage with art but you always remind me how its done
Add some beans to the ramen and there the protein goes.
Keep it up, such a unique style of video! 👌
I really miss the NYC deliveries xD Also your moped was THA BOMB
Austin, keep it up my man.
angie u can just buy a electric stove for like 50-100 bucks u can easily plug it in & out i had one too for like 3 months and it worked great
a bit surprised you don't build a simple workbench out of scrap wood, add an induction hot plate, and get a mini fridge to be able to have a kitchen setup. could even take the classic vanlife setup to make a sink 🤷🏾♂
love the cat GLARE no need to explain ,,,here for the experience of austin- received experience ...thank you
hey Augie, could you please tell me who made the music at the start of this video? I love it and need to hear more
Totally enjoyed this vid, peace dude.
Augie if it helps, the gram of protein per lb of body weight is kind of excessive unless you’re doing hardcore bodybuilding. If you hit like 115-120 you’re golden!
Brother don’t say you were negligent when filing an insurance claim. 😭
there are clever ways to cook in a studio without a kitchen, buy a second hand combi microwave the one with dual function, a portable electric stove and a kettle and you can prepare many delicious tasty food in our place man.... there are also cheep alternatives to shower in your place. We live in 2025, most of these things are available
Collar of a shirt goes out if you wear a V shaped neck opening.
If its U shaped it goes inside.
Please do more episodes where you talk about your "shit" work. I dont know anything about film/photography except what I learned from watching your videos. It is great to hear someone talk about their own work in a way that is constructive. It would also be cool if you could do more Augie radio episodes like you did back in covid.
Used to watch your videos in Canada now watching them in Vietnam
All your posts are inspiring to me. I wish I had the confidence to talk into a camera and do my own. I just never know what to say and kinda freeze. Hate the sound of my own voice 😂
5:37 made me laugh please don't try to eat that much grams of protein. If you're 165 multiply it by 0.7 so it's just 78g and you'll be better than fine (coming from a gym guy)
just a heads up, you've been using caveat where you mean downside for a few vlogs now
Add a can of chickpeas or beans to your ramen. Protein sorted, budget friendly too.
love you augie ❤
Yo augie you should get an air fryer it cooks so many different ways and doesn’t take up a lot of room 👍🏻
Petition to convince Austin to move to Austin, TX
The last Augie video I watched was the no sound video, you said these mistakes only happened on the youtube videos, this is a $7k professional mistake. Amazing how when we say we'ed never do something, that's when it always happens. It's just like saying the Titanic couldn't be sunk, God, Himself couldn't sink her and she went down on her maiden voyage. Moral of the story? Never say what you're not going to do because you'll find yourself with no choice but doing it later on.
Without photos you are unhappy with there are no good ones
Can we send you a hot plate and mini fridge?
always amazing Austin augie
tonka is the most precious baby boy

BTW I love the pic of cat in the backpack
Dude what if, you got one of those portable showers for the pad that could drain into a plant tower to grow veggies?
