I don't *need* to draw fanart of things I don't engage in. I don't *need* to engage in trends. I don't *need* to draw for other people. I need to present things I enjoy. I need to present myself consistently. I need to present work I can maintain and present it semi-regularly, even if it isn't brand new and unique. In fact, it's *better* to make inspired work!

As for music I think I've discovered most of the hyperniche electronic genres at this point, so it just keeps me fed with new mixes.
On the "negative reactions to advertising" note, your reaction is 100% intended by the marketer, as anger/hatred creates free engagement/advertising and burrows itself deep into your mind.
I think the term "mind share" is very relevant to your points about building familiarity to influence purchasing decisions. Also, on the toxic potater point, I think you'd appreciate the video "I am BEGGING you to Stop Caring" by DJ Peach Cobbler, and maybe also "Why Modern Entertainment is Garbage" by Darkmatter2525 (give it a chance, it's an anti-anti-woke and anti-corporate/capitalist essay).

Jonny Mozza knows her, so let Jonny find the perfect girl for you cos .... Jonny Mozza knows her!
    Let the sun shine.
You want to make a good advertising impact! Tell them about potential stuff but don't tell them who you are, in fact go to lengths to hide from your target audience.
You are definitely right about that thing where we give time to disgusting negative mind rake, it's called morbid fascination, an unfortunate human quality, people used to like to go watch a hanging back in the day.

i left twitter earlier this year because i realised all it did was make me angry and sometimes i saw tweets that genuinely ruined my day. one day i woke up, saw a nasty tweet that made me upset and decided it was time to leave. one of the best decisions i've made.
anyway, i stumbled upon your video today and it made me really happy to find someone talking about something that i think about a lot. it brightened my day. i hope you have a lovely weekend, happy holidays and a great 2025. llap ☆

Sometimes though you buy things without ads. I have never seen a Dr Pepper Ad but yet if I see it in a shop I'd buy it over any other fizzy drink but then again that's because its rare & has a unique taste. Without that well generic bland coke or whatever will win due to ads I guess.

You definitely can mention products without naming a brand. Drinks brand, candy brands, cleaning product companies that own products like ..etc. I do my best not to promote by not mentioning the search engine brands or the video streaming companies because people will automatically reference whatever they're familiar most with. Good listen

Honestly, this video has been popping up on my main UA-cam page 2-3 days now. I read the title a few times and it w/ the thumbnail made me want to check it out though the "advertising" word was a turnoff. Why would I want to expose myself to advertising? Glad I gave it a watch though!

As a kid with an intense interest in the paranormal growing up in America at the time the Blair Witch movie came out, I had never heard of the “legend” before the movie.
I think the notion that the filmmakers spread the myth around before making the movie is itself a myth.
