Noticed same in public places with multiple people with Eye Face settings best with an just a individual. Grain at high ISO can be removed as you mentioned. Nice photos.
You can set limits in the menu on the ISO and shutter speed, and still keep it on fully automatic. Then it won't go to super high ISO.

Next time instead of multi-field use Field, then you control where the focus point will be, multi-field will usually focus on the closest thing in that area . that’s why shots will have other things in focus not intended. I usually always have my Q3 in field with the focus point at the smallest setting. Also sometime try the lens in manual focus, it’s very nice. I shoot a lot at night inside bars & clubs, I’m always at ISO 6400 it’s not an issue.

I was thinking this place so familiar then double check the title. It’s Victoria garden, daily route going to work😂 I got my Q3 couple weeks ago during watching your Santa Monica test video. The same! Still getting used on this little toy compare with my giant Canon 5D 2470 + 70200🤣 No doubt, the image quality is amazing plus Leica filter. This toy becomes my primary camera to capture during travels. Really nice review 👍🏻
