I've always liked the Blue Knights. They come from Colorado where there is no air and the horn line is always stout. I'm glad they are still sticking around.
The part at 8:50 is just awesome, the double tonging so clean and the suspense runs really high only to suddenly get quieter when the low brass comes in and take the melody all while side step marching. epic
Revisiting these videos and realizing that if it weren't for these I wouldn't have gotten into drum corps like I had. I think 08 was the first one I ever saw, but this was my first year marching. Thank you Jeremy for making these.
2012 is definitely a great year for DCI. In my OPINION, Crown should've won that year because of the music and the drills. I love BD's show too. Crown well deserved high brass that year. Guard should've been crown too. Percussion, I understand that one. The energy of Crown was way beyond BD. There's not much excitement in BD show. Anyway, I love both shows a lot. I have both in my iPod and listen to them everyday.
It must be so great I'd love to see it live once. Unfortunately, I live in Germany so I can only see it on youtube and unfortunately not all. And my English is not so good to find me fend for themselves in America. But I love it and maybe my dream is any point in fulfillment times and I come to visit America
To all those complaining: Ok, I get the critiques on the editing, and yeah, he's done better ones. But seriously, the guy does this on his own time. I'm just glad to get to be able to see so many different clips smashed together. I could watch all the shows on FN, but this is more fun since it's so many good moments all together at once. TL;DR Thanks Jeremy for what you do.
fabulous selection of clips as always. some abrupt cuts which is out of character for your videos. Thanks for all your work and for bringing us these amazing shows!!
People need to stop complaining about certain corps appearing more than the others. The guy made this video so he can do whatever he wants with it. These are his picks for the Best Moments of 2012, and in his opinion, certain corps had more "Best Moments" than others. I think he personally did a fantastic job with this. If you want to see other parts/sections of shows, then go buy the DVD yourself or go watch other youtube videos. Otherwise, just enjoy what you have here.
Thank you. Also, it is my intention to compel all the people who watch these videos to purchase the DVD's- audition- and/or donate to a corps. These organizations survive and thrive on support from people like yourselves. Go support a corps; change a life.
Fantastic compilation once again! I really appreciate that you take the time to put these videos up year after year! The only moment I that was surprised about being left out was SCV's Music of the Night hit. :o
I marched in that Boston show, and there wasn't anything like that. I suppose near the end of our second movement had similar percussion parts, but the hornline parts were derived from Attack on Rue Plumet, from Les Mis.
How could you not include Blue Devils Drum break where they slow down, speed up, then slow down again? Best drumline feature this year! Awesome job on putting this together though! LOVE THESE!
In my opinion, Carolina Crown had the best show overall. The Blue Devils did an AMAZING job (as usual) but I think that all-in-all Crown should have taken the number 1 spot. 2nd is still a just fantastic job and Crown is one of the few reasons I love living in South Carolina
Its off for drum corps, but I honestly think they did it pretty well for what it was. It fit the theme of the show, and definetally gave us something to remember about it.
Like every Blue Devils show 2012 took me awhile to "get". But now that i sit down and really listen and watch its clear that they are on another level when it comes to everything. As much as i wanted Crown to take it this year i will NOT bash the Blue Devils cause they earned it.
Yeah, it's hard being in any marching band or drum corps up here in Colorado. Our band went down to Disney this year to march a parade and I was like "Whoa, where'd this ability to play more before taking a breath come from?"
Any one of the top 5 corps could have won and should have. One fault with the judging, the judges are afraid to give a 9 of ten to a early corps leaving room for a spread. Now I have been a BD fan for years, but both Cadets and SCV put on a better finals show and deserved to be over the Devils. Phantom Regiment as well has been the best I have seen in many years, it's the judging that is predetermined and leaving a spread.
Try Bb. And it makes sense to do that, these are mostly Bb instruments we're working with here, that last chord has to be powerful, and power comes from tuning. Much easier to do in the open position.
Crown 2012. Setting the record for the most heart impact sets.
Only the Cadets could pull off a Christmas show.
...In the middle of the summer...
+Sorge the Magical Talking Walrus Except the Cavaliers, in 1991.
One of my favorite Cadets shows of all time
Dude I remember marching that year and at the first regional the Cadets were there I was thinking; What? Is this like a Christmas in July thing?
That screamer from the crossman is a beast
4:50 is crowns signature mello lick now
I've always liked the Blue Knights. They come from Colorado where there is no air and the horn line is always stout. I'm glad they are still sticking around.
Took me 4 years to realize that the drill says SCV at 6:25....
The part at 8:50 is just awesome, the double tonging so clean and the suspense runs really high only to suddenly get quieter when the low brass comes in and take the melody all while side step marching. epic
12:10 will forever be my favorite moment from Crown (other than the 2008 opening hit)
Crown is just exciting. A-roller-coaster-thrill-ride from start to finish. Let's see a new champion next year.
Kasey Warren little did you know you would go on to be right.
Revisiting these videos and realizing that if it weren't for these I wouldn't have gotten into drum corps like I had.
I think 08 was the first one I ever saw, but this was my first year marching. Thank you Jeremy for making these.

Kelvin Chau Just a thought: BD 2012 won because of the design behind it. That may be the best designed drum corps show. Period.
i think same you
Bd's drill was too clean and best percussion and color guard also helped them, also their music scores were really lose with crowns
+Evan Schwepker *close
If crowns percussion was as good as bd's, they might have won, bd had the highest music score overall too and second in brass by .10
I really loved Blue Knights show this year, and Spirit as well.
Geez, doesn't anyone ever get tired of B flat major?
pratherat BD did.
^
pratherat no, never
Not crown
Nah
It must be so great I'd love to see it live once. Unfortunately, I live in Germany so I can only see it on youtube and unfortunately not all. And my English is not so good to find me fend for themselves in America. But I love it and maybe my dream is any point in fulfillment times and I come to visit America
The other corps did an amazing job as well, this year was a very good year for alot of Crops.
Now, I'm not a Crown guy, but based on this video and my experience at a ToC show, Crown not winning this year was a MASSIVE mistake.
I love how phantom can really deliver on that last company front. So good
Couldn't have the judges make the right decision this year and give Carolina Crown their first DCI world championship title
Lovin' that opening hit :) Crown 2012, so proud to have been a part of that.
8:24, WHOO HOO!
Jingle those bells, boys!
All of this phenomenal stuff that drum corps are doing and we never get to see them on the news or TV. I think something is definitely up with that!
Good god, those Madison scouts trumpets
Phantom R nailed that last act! dang that was sick!
To all those complaining: Ok, I get the critiques on the editing, and yeah, he's done better ones. But seriously, the guy does this on his own time. TL;DR Thanks Jeremy for what you do.
It's nice to have other people make the Best DCI Moments, but you are the original!!!
The greatest start to any of your videos... hands down...
Crowns hornline... is just too good.
4:29 That high Ab😍
fabulous selection of clips as always. some abrupt cuts which is out of character for your videos. Thanks for all your work and for bringing us these amazing shows!!
I love how these videos always end with Phantom's finale.
I love seeing the Jupiter hornlines. The contras are always dyeing under the weight. Hell yeah for being a trumpet player.
This video must have given me chill through every segment. I love DCI!
The competitive level of DCI increases so much every year. I am excited to see what the corps bring in 2013. Go phantom! !!
People need to stop complaining about certain corps appearing more than the others. The guy made this video so he can do whatever he wants with it. Crown's actually ended every show since 2004 (I think) with a Bb major chord.
dat chord at 12:17 :O great job Crown!!
CANNOT WAIT TO MARCH WITH CAROLINA CROWN
Thank you. Also, it is my intention to compel all the people who watch these videos to purchase the DVD's- audition- and/or donate to a corps. These organizations survive and thrive on support from people like yourselves. Go support a corps; change a life.
Great year. I especially loved the Devils, SCV, Phantom, and Crown.
Fantastic compilation once again! I really appreciate that you take the time to put these videos up year after year! The only moment I that was surprised about being left out was SCV's Music of the Night hit. :o
I never noticed Crown's visual at 7:54 until now.
Connor Bingham I don’t see it
Phantom Reg. , Carolina Crown, and Cavaliers :)
I JUST HAD A FREAKING REVELATION!!! 2012 was the Cadets Christmas show, and it was called 12.25, MEANING DECEMBER 25!!!!! I JUST GOT THAT!!
supershadow6408 Mind = Blown
/s
Or the month and the day
I marched in that Boston show, and there wasn't anything like that. I suppose near the end of our second movement had similar percussion parts, but the hornline parts were derived from Attack on Rue Plumet, from Les Mis.
I had goosebumps for the entire fifteen minutes. Amazing.
How could you not include Blue Devils Drum break where they slow down, speed up, then slow down again? Best drumline feature this year! Awesome job on putting this together though! LOVE THESE!
CROWN!
Not enough SOA moments!
It's funny to look at Spirit of Atlanta's show from back in the 70's/80's, then look at them now. Such a change.
i quite love the blue coats show choice for last year:) but ... forever Crown
YAY! Brings me back good memories. All corps did phenomenal. Was a fun summer!
Thanks very much Jeremy, you've my day, finally the video we've all been waiting for. :)
No matter what is being done their will always be those afraid of change. Just because something is not what you are used to doesn't make it any less.
Nice job dude! Amazing year for Drum Corps!
8:25
OH MY GOSH!
That jazz is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!
The Cadets,
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THEM!
In my opinion, Carolina Crown had the best show overall. The Blue Devils did an AMAZING job (as usual) but I think that all-in-all Crown should have taken the number 1 spot. 2nd is still a just fantastic job and Crown is one of the few reasons I love living in South Carolina
Pretty sure this was one of the best years out there!
That last chord for the Bluecoats gave me CHILLS.
How about those Trumpets and Mellos that cant seem to get the feet out of their sound from 14:34 to 14:47. : - /
I really loved Crown and SCV this year. The Scouts never fail to impress me either. I was also really glad to see the Xmen back in World Class Finals!
Fantastic as always! Thanks for the work you put into these videos!
Thank you so much for all the work you put into this, and yea Phantom!!!!!
Wow, look at the power difference in the transition from Spirit of Atlanta to Blue Devils @ 11:30. BD's got some serious power.
Its off for drum corps, but I honestly think they did it pretty well for what it was. It fit the theme of the show, and definetally gave us something to remember about it.
Seriously the colts should've made finals 2012...
Crown! Chills every time they came up! Love
Loved every minute of it.
Very well done. The best of the best. Thanks for posting.
oh i love that low brass part 8:56
Like every Blue Devils show 2012 took me awhile to "get". But now that i sit down and really listen and watch its clear that they are on another level when it comes to everything. As much as i wanted Crown to take it this year i will NOT bash the Blue Devils cause they earned it.
Not every corps bases success off of how many championships they have, and not every fan does either.
Thank you for ending this video with the most beautiful closer ever... Thank youu
Y is dci so freaking amazing? Oh wait it just is :)
Thanks for making me cry haha Love your videos man. makes me miss my summer of corps. BDB 09
The corp that never misses finals -- Santa Clara Vanguard. Baritone player for life :)
12:16......Chill bumps everywhere
I like how you finished. Well done.
it was still a pretty cool fun thing they added at the end
Holy shit Madison 0:50
No, but it was used in the Bluecoats' closer last year. It's Harvest: Concerto for Trombone.
I love your videos thanks for sharing each year!
Yeah, it's hard being in any marching band or drum corps up here in Colorado. Our band went down to Disney this year to march a parade and I was like "Whoa, where'd this ability to play more before taking a breath come from?"
I really got flustered and confused at 10:39, as I was expecting the rest of the Phantom clip to go on and then BAM, Cadets.
Found a new favorite corps: Crown :D
2013 where are youuu
10:38, Now that's a message we all can enjoy!
Gloria in excelsis deo,
12.25,
Christmas Day!
Santa Van's piece, Mars was my first show. Only Baritone in the band!
That was my favorite part of the show.
I think Blue Stars had some moments of greatness in 2012...
2:47 DAT CHORD. Nice work Crown.
Um....so best dci moments 2013 tho....
Can we at least have the teaser? I need my Best moments fix!!!
You counted how many standing ovations there were and you still remember 5 months later?
No Corps will ever tell a story like Phantom!!! So moving and powerful!
Try Bb. And it makes sense to do that, these are mostly Bb instruments we're working with here, that last chord has to be powerful, and power comes from tuning. Much easier to do in the open position.
I was thinking the same thing, except it sounded more like a part in Boston Crusaders show last year
carolina crown should have won. that show was something else.
Best of the best.
This is just amazing!
Dammit Crossmen! That trumpet soloist is SO DAMN GOOD!!!!!!!!!
