The highest praise I can give is that I really enjoyed this video about a ring modulator.

I just hope they bring out the rest of the Moogerfooger line.

I was thinking Moondance over Billie Jean but I do hear both. hahaha. I just got this pedal in the mail today. It's every bit as fantastic as it sounds here.

The "control center" was the CP-251, also discontinued. I happened to snag an MP-201 again a while back. I'm thinking about getting one of these as I forgot how warm and lush it sounded, but I wish Warm Audio had installed the multi-LFO waveform chip that Moog used for the MF-108 because I always wanted to have a Sample and Hold/Random Ring Mod tone.

While a super fast tremolo sounds similar to ring modulation, and reverse delay can do a similar thing.. the true ring mods use carrier frequency subtraction to set that sample rate of sorts and it seems to further mangle the sound but I have to say I can't hear a difference unless I A-B them or use extreme examples of the sounds

Sounds really nice and warm, truely an offspring of the moogerfooger MF102. Although I like my MF102, I don‘t really see much use cases for ring modulation on harmonic instruments due to the inharmonics which are created when modulated at higher frequencies. And for tremolo effects, a simple, pure tremolo pedal could be used. (I‘m using my MF102 therefore exclusively on drum sounds and percussion BTW). Since all ringmod demos I‘ve seen are also just recorded with a single synth or guitar, I would be interested, how the typical ringmod sound could also be used with harmonic instruments in a band context. Do you have any hints or references?

You must have foot pedal control over the carrier frequency, a ring modulator is like an wha wha, no foot pedal means you don't understand the effect. Here is what you get with foot control over the carrier frequency

Therefore, it is a shame to spend 230€. A sound effect like that doesn't make much sense. If it had a flanger and reverb, it would make more sense than the ring modulator. Of course, you can make meaningful and usable settings on it, but a musician needs an instrument to make music, not to fool around.

@@zongihangi11 I have used ring modulators in songs I have written before…it’s all about what suits the part, and in the end anything can be musical …it’s just up to the imagination of the musician

..its on the way to me..quite excited and curious about it..but its more for my moog bass synth..I just now noticed, its not from behringer..I knew Uli is on the way wth them moogerfooger-clones..and just lost it out of site..am not always looking for new stuff..and this one popped on me as an ad and I pulled the trigger imediately (its too easy nowadays to buy stuff..and now while waiting dfor it to be delivered, I wanted to watch some stuff about it online that I missed..and couldnt find it..thought..fck..you pulled on a hoax 😝 and now I know, its warm audio bringing somewhat a moog-klon to the table calling it the RingerBringer?! Respekt..now am even more excited 🖤 🖤 ❤
