That is so true about the seed. You know way back over 2,000 years ago this same theory was taught in the Bible. 1st Corinthians 3:6-8 talks about the "seed". We can plant it, we can water it, but we can't make it grow because it is out of our control to do so. I believe that if we focus our energy on the things we CAN control as leaders, and then analyze the results, we can continue to improve our results. Just like planting the tomatoes, if our crop does not produce what we expected, we need to improve the things we had control over to promote the growth. Good leaders continually seek methods that would promote each and every seed to grow, even though we all know there will usually always be some bad seed in the batch...
