Thanks for putting up this video. I purchased a Lumin P1 about a month ago, and I honestly think it's one of the top 5 finest high-end audio components I have *ever* experienced, not just as a "streamer", per se, but also as a spectacularly good DAC _and_ preamplifier (and I say this the owner of Lampizator DACs and First Sound dual-mono preamps). In fact, I use it "just" as a preamp with my Michell Gyro SE II and SME V/Koetsu Urushi MC TT and it's truly superb in that application, as well. Just a technical note for you: a number of times in the video you referred to the P1 as "the P2". Cheers and thanks again.
Thank you Stephen for your comments.... It is always good to hear how well the Lumin kit is working in different situations. I'm good at mangling my words and P2 v P1 is an easy mistake for me that I should have flagged up in the edit...
Why on earth do hifi manufacturers exclude USB C input? It would make more sense to make a DAC that had ONLY a USB C input on the back than to make this without USB C. What would I want this product for? Plugging in an iPad. Do I want to add a CD player or anything else? No. Do I understand that other people do want to add other input units? Yes, of course. But no USB C? That is pure negligence
The Lumin streamers are all overachievers. Great sound, great value. The P1 is the sweet spot in terms of features/price.
Great video John!
Thanks for showcasing LUMIN P1. Great to see the App in there too!
The Lumin P1 is...AMAZING.

Great straight forward review, thank you. So useful.
Can this pull from a Plex Media Server (DLNA-enabled) for music files?
Is there any practical difference between the DAC section in the P1 and the T3? On paper they look identical.
