Thanks a lot! Especially for the pointers on wetness of the surface vs brush, stopping when the glossiness of the paper stops and letting it dry and rewetting again after. Very very helpful!
Very interesting tutorial and I learned a few things I’ve not seen before so thank you for sharing your technique! I think I’ll add a little spatter in a test run in my sketchbook as practice. I am currently working on sets of watercolor postcards for gifts at church!
Grateful for this tutorial! I have been painting for many months and have not been terribly happy with my success, especially with making things look more rounded and 3-D. Your instructions are so thorough and easy to follow. I am actually happy with what I produced tonight!!! It looks ALMOST as good as yours! ALMOST, but not quite. Still pleased though! Thank you!!

This is definitely a wonderful quick painting that would be great fun to paint for a Christmas Card! Thanks for the wonderful helpful wet-on-wet tips. Enjoy your weekend! 💕😃
😂 I can't help it but all I can see is a happy face 😊 with the two highlights and the curved one. Thank you though I have to make some Christmas cards and was looking for the best way to paint the balls. I like your method.
Wouldn't have thought about smiley faces if you hadn't mentioned them. That was very unkind, if you have nothing good to say next time just keep it moving, don't ruin it for others
They look great! I've gotta say though that the soft brush you're using was giving me a little anxiety. lol I wouldn't be able to get the control you have with a brush that soft, so I was fascinated watching you use it. Thanks so much for the wonderful tutorial.
I really enjoy your channel, Emily! Your recent tips on using a sponge and your terminology about glossy/satiny paper wetness and double-coating the paper coincide with instructions from a real life watercolor instructor I’ve started working with over the last few months. It’s great to be able to learn in person and hear those same methods being repeated and shown on your channel. Keep up the great content! Happy holidays 🎄
Your shirt is so adorable! One of my students just told me you mentioned me in one of your videos but I can't find it but thank you SO MUCH for that! I'm always sharing my favorite channels so I'll be sure to mention you soon. I did send one of my students to your curly haired dog tutorial recently : )
I just discovered your UA-cam channel. So glad I did! I will try the ornaments and will watch more of your vidioes. Thank you for your clear demonstration.
Absolutely beautiful! I really want to give this a try, if I could do just a smidge of the beautiful-ness you have I’d be content! Thank you for your approach on teaching, I really like it, just gained yourself another follower! ~sheryl~
Forget the wet-on-wet…where did you get that sweater? Actually this is a great. Idea and right on time, I love how you fearlessly throw in darker hues. Thank you.
the gold really shines!
You are the most fun person ever!!
Aw thank you! 😊
Beautiful - i can feel that shine And charm of Christmas from that picture
Thank you, Emily! 🌲

Happy little accident, as Bob Ross might say. 😊

@@lolaadesina5362 what in heaven's name is unkind? I thought it was cute and fun for a Christmas ball. Pareidolia is common, do look it up.

I have a curious question, how do you go about your voice over? 🥰 I mean, are you wearing a microphone while you paint or voicing over later?
For this one I taught and painted at the same time. 🙂
