Spreadsheet island is awesome. If I’m going to ramp up complexity in my SI experience I’d rather use a high difficulty spirit than add mor AI to navigate like an adversary. The star spirit is thus far my favorite very high complexity spirit as its really a build-your-own-spirit that you can customize on the fly as the game situation demands.
Excellent review. Love the new puppets. My wife and I have yet to get through all the new spirits but have been super excited to have even more to choose from. My only complaint of Jagged Earth is that the explanation of Actions in the rulebook kinda made my head spin. I just got the premium token pack for Xmas and have been nervous if it was a stupid thing for the person that gifted it to me to have spent their money on. I’m hoping I like it as this is my favorite game in my collection. Keep up the great work

I'm new to this game and liked our first round (starter box). So I searched for videos for the addons. Found this. Watching it now the 3rd time in 2 days and still laughing about your sock puppets. Amzing vid 🤣

Dude, awesome stuff. Some thoughts you gave me! 1. I want to play Spirit Island again (and I just played a couple days ago...) 2. I _love_ Many Minds and Volcano, but I haven't taken the lizard boys out for a spin yet 3. I think I might need to get those premium tokens... they look SO GOOD and you make a great point about their verticality to help them stick out and clearly stack nicer (and just the fact that the "blank space" of the sides is of their respective colors rather than punchboard is super pleasing.
Haha, glad it's inspiring you. I like both Lizardos but I honestly think Lure of the FW is my fave spirit in the game. Great powers, compelling limitations. Just all around good stuff. And yeah, as for the tokens. Well, I'm not always a premium = better guy but I think they look really incredible and provide a functional role in one of my absolute favorite games, so I'm really happy with them. But worth & value are really subjective things, so your own mileage may vary.

Great review about an amazing expansion & good work on the sock puppets :) I haven't tried all spirits yet (a bit intimidated by the very high complexity ones to be honest), but I absolutely love Volcano Looming High and Shroud of Silent Mist! If anything these Spirits feel even more thematic than those from the base game.
Thank you! And yeah, Shroud of Silent Mist was a runner up for one of my faves. The persistent damage effecting and oozing your tokens all around the board is so cool.
Haha, thank you! We had a ton of fun making them. Mrs. TCbH gets full credit for the lizards and she was "supervising director" on my halfway decent volcano dog. And the birds, well. The birds were all mine. And it shows. LOL!
Still impatiently waiting for a global restock... Aside from a few random stores selling their last copies (and those are too far away from me i.e. shipping costs come up to few kidneys, some liver, and a retina...), it's so wildly out of stock everywhere. There are whispers about a possible restock in about a week or so ;)
Yep... played this with 5 people once... it was amazing, but a 5 hour game of intense thinking the ENTIRE time is a bit rough. That said, this expansion is amazing.
Played a six-player game with all the rules (but vanilla adversary) at a con. Took six hours. Ocean, Seeker, Trickster, Bringer, Many Minds, and one other that I can't remember...
Great question. I dearly love both spirits from B&C (especially Keeper) but if someone was going to get only 1 expansion I would hands down say Jagged Earth. Chances are though that if you are someone who likes SI enough to also get JE, you’ll want all the spirits, all the events, all the fear cards and all the minor and major powers that B&C offers. Hope that helps!

Amazing game… I still cannot be good on a first levels of the adversaries… so I need to wait a bit with this expansion! Still SP is just a blast game!
