They were great tools that got taken away because of misuse. Have to wonder if the taser will suffer the same fate.
I really enjoyed this episode. Would be interested in hearing from other police officers etc on their opinions and knowledge.
As I understand it, and I'm not an attorney, self-defense is an affirmative defense that in most places must be asserted from a "mantle of innocence." If you defend yourself using a weapon that in your jurisdiction is illegal, it would seem you either just negated your ability to assert self-defense, or made the assertion more difficult. Fortunately in my jurisdiction, both are legal.
Interesting episode. It made me decide on getting something from D 3 for my collection. Mylate Father carried Sap Gloves as a California Game Warden and with a Federal Agency. I have a few Saps from Andy Langlois and a few others in my Stabby/Hitty Box.
I really enjoyed this episode. You're out of the box with this one. I have a sap with me occasionally.
Fantastic! Thank you for moderating this discussion!
Excellent information!!!
Don’t know what to choose between a PSA dagger or glock 19
G19 every day the dagger feels like a dollar store Glock
I haven’t carried taser in several years. I have used a taser several times with good effect but I have concerns about retention.
I only carry asp for LL but I’ve never used it in that context.
