Thank you Cheryl and a very happy Easter to you and your family. I sometimes think Jesus has forgotten me as my church and I parted company unexpectedly six years ago, so Christmases and Easters are always hard. Which is why I really loved your story about Charles Wigglesworth.
Jesus never changes. He is the same now and forever. He loved you enough to die for you and all your sins. So rest assured he still loves you today! If He feels far away He isn’t the one who moved into the shadows. Grow closer to Him, read His Word, pray daily and ask Him to lead you to a body of believers who can restore you with warm fellowship.
I don’t know why this happened and don’t need to know. All I do know is Jesus never forgets one of His children. He is always ready to forgive and restore. He has stood at that spot with open arms patiently waiting to wrap them around you. He forgives and chooses to not remember it again. If the church chooses not to do likewise with love and forgiveness you need to find a church who will. You are trying to live on your own long enough. Of the issue has never resolved then that is your first step.
