  • When you buy broken cars day in and day out, what's the one vehicle you actually need? The answer is always a rollback. Being able to drag cars out of places without a trailer quickly makes life much easier, but nobody wants to pay a towing company, it's easier to just buy your own truck. That was the plan with ‪@RichRebuilds‬ tow truck, but little did I know it should've been towed home itself.

More importantly: to reduce the engine speed.
This will improve fuel efficiency, reduce cabin noise, lower coolant system pressure, and reduce the stress for engine components.
After all, these trucks were made in an era where highway speeds were lower.
      Imagine it tomorrow loaded up!

Good old T444E (7.3L powerstroke)! Even for a truck that big, it shouldn't have any trouble on hills given how low it's geared. I'm betting the CEL is related to your low power situation. If you can get a scan tool on it, monitor ICP and IPR duty cycle % to check the health of the high pressure oil system. If your IPR is maxed out (40% on the older models) and you're seeing low ICP, you've got a leak somewhere.

Kinda funny, i do cook in my kitchen but still never use the built in appliances - The microwave boosted convection oven, deep fryer, and the instant pot are just more useful.

Man I am jealous of the IKEA talk. I live 3 hours away and a border crossing or 6 hours to stay in the USA to get to the closest IKEA

Huge pool of hydraulic fluid underneath. I wouldn't worry too much about that 😮

That low voltage on startup is from the glow plugs. They run for a while even after the truck starts.

Man the Rivian looks like a nice place to be in. Just wish the front didn’t look like they slapped a couple Dyson air purifiers on it.

Don't forget to buy a gallon of car wash soap so you can pour it on the bed and car tires will slide up the bed while your winching them on

Sounds like an old 7.3. They r gutless but at least reliable. Put an exhaust and tune which should help with power. Shout out to the Hartford Whalers!

I have a tow truck business and I had one of those trucks they are nothing but problems they are nightmares that's why they sell them so cheap they're just notorious money pits nothing but electrical issues and that's part of the reason why they go so slow it's an electrical issue on them but they are complete nightmares
