Awesome job! Simple yet stunning design. It's refreshing to watch a video about actually build something instead of these UA-cam woodworkers trying to sell you tools. Never once did you have to mention what kind of tools you used to create this beautiful box. In my opinion, it doesn't matter what you use to create your project, what matters is what your project looks like when you're finished. Great video
super little box 👍👍👍💯 I remember the technique for locking the small parts on your format saw using a rail press 😉👍 great idea. thank you for this video 🙏😉
the carving really looks like the bark of the tree. Great project! It reminds me that I need to use my eight million pieces of scrap walnut i've never thrown away🤦🏻♂️😜
This Box Looks very beautiful!! I wonder, if it got cracks because you added the inner parts to keep the top in a perfect position. Actually theese parts would prevent the outer parts from shrinking if they should because of a change of the humidity of the surrounding Air.🤷
Ich hatte vor, dieses Design auch in verschiedenen Größen auf meiner Website anzubieten. Wenn du weiterhin Interesse daran hast, kontaktiere mich über meine Website. Danke.
I love walnut. You put together a lot of off-cuts (not scrap) to make a very nice box. Nice job of texturing. Nice finish. Good use of the oak for a liner. Overall an excellent project.👍👍 That was the good. Now for the bad. I hated the music. It's boring and annoying. If you must have music pick something soothing and that doesn't repeat over and over.😥😥 Still, thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
how much would you sell something like this - asking cus im a new woodworker and im not sure how to price time consuming projects. thanks. its awesome btw.
Advice I got was the price of materials should be the lostest "labour" cost. As time go on and you have experience, pricing won't be such a problem. Good luck 👍
There are so my different opinions about this topic. I suggest, there are some videos about that topic on UA-cam. Just watch few of them and come up with number that feel good to you.
Bummer, no link or mention about the chisel being used to get that texturing. Hopefully it won’t be too hard to find one that can do something similar to that texturing work.
The end grain are on the top and bottom, not the carved sides. Also, your comment was not pleasant. The box is obviously to his liking. (I agree.) No need for you to put it down.
@@DavZellI was gonna say, this guy watched the whole video to not even notice the box's actual construction then moan about a non issue revealing his poor observational skills...
@@DavZell I was not putting it down at all. It was my observation. You’re a little too sensitive don’t you think. I thought the box came out great. Get over it. I’ve been a furniture maker for 60 years. Criticism is what Make us better. It’s called constructive criticism.

Thanks for the comment. I agree that the end product is more important than what you use to my it.
beautiful box, the texture is 🤌
Thanks!
This is a great inspiration. Thanks for sharing this project.
You are so welcome!
Hey 👋 This box is lovely. The texture really makes this box very special. Great job!!!
Thanks so much! 😊
Really amazing project! Thank you. I really enjoyed this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the use of tape on the clamps so easy to clean up the glue.
It definitely saves time.
A bit of wax on the clamps does the same thing
A perfect match for the coming Christmas season 🎄🎁💖
Yes, it is:)
this video is awesome bro! Thanks for your channel!
Thanks mate!

Beautiful piece!!!!
Thank you very much!
Very cool.
Reminds me of some briar pipe finishes.
Thanks, I haven't had that in my mind, but the texture resembles some pipe finishes indeed.
Nice box, nice job on the texture, noticed you didn't show cutting the lid off, mine usually have
problems if the box isn't perfect square.
I forgot to press record. Mine wasn't perfectly square, but luckily, I have a huge table saw that I can square it up after the glue-up.
Wow it's beautiful 👍🏾🇬🇧💙
Thank you so much!

Thanks. I am still using it and it looks as good as new. Not cracks so far.
What are the dimensions of this box?
You can never have too many clamps 😁
True!
Or too much glue!
Beautiful
Thanks!
Love that textured look

Thank you. If I remember correctly, it took me around two and a half hours.
So sickkkkk!

totally beautiful. what did you use as the final coat?
I used %80 Bondex Hardwood oil mixed with %20 Hard Wax Oil. I am not sure if you can find the brands outside Germany.
love the texture
Thanks:)
This is in a similar style to David Pyes fluted bowl he made many years ago. I love this design and please check him out.

Perfeito

Bellissimo complimenti, gentilmente mi daresti le misure e lo spessore del legno che hai usato? grazie mille
It was a one-off project. If I recall correctly, The walnut was approximately 10 mm thick after being cut to the final dimensions.
What is the liquid u put on the wood in the end to make the wood appear darker?
It is a normal wood oil ( Brand - Bondex Hardwood Oil) . Most oils would make the wood look darker.
Bummer, no link or mention about the chisel being used to get that texturing. Hopefully it won’t be too hard to find one that can do something similar to that texturing work.

Time consuming job in 20sec 😂😂😂 i had to laugh!!!
Good. Then it served its purpose 😉
What is the brand name of the finish you use?

What should I put in such a cool box?
I'd put something that you use quite often then you can have the box somewhere you see every day ;)
I made it for a bottle of wine
I would like to get that chisel, how it is called? (so i can google it)
BeaverCraft is the brand. It's a Ukrainian brand. I bought some of their chisels to support the company.
@@KardamovMakes Thank you, they are available on Amazon, is the one you used is the 8A/14 ?

3:26 Not enough clamps. You need more.
I luckily have way more than that.
How is this simple???
Well, the design is quite simple but application is not so simple.
