That play by Goodrow at 7:09 is not getting enough love around the hockey world. Thank you for pointing his play out and highlighting its significance. I played soccer competitively for two decades - that type of “first touch” on a lofted pass, while moving in the same direction as the ball, is a VERY nuanced and underrated skill that goes unnoticed by fans, but does NOT go unnoticed by teammates. Now, trying to do that same thing with a flat stick on a small cylindrical puck, while skating? Cripes… that’s otherworldly hand-eye coordination and “silky” hands. Top-tier stuff from the veteran.
People take the Knoblauch clip out of context, he basically said the standard for what’s a penalty all year long should be the same for every team but it hasn’t, in every series there examples of calls being made one way and not the other. Not that he’s whining for not getting calls.
seems more like hes whining when call are agents his team, he said nothing when calls were in his favor in a majority of games but when the calls arent on his side he has to mention the refs... just seems off putting
@@canadiangamer6210 I think he has a point, as Dallas isn't any more disciplined than any other team as they have done quite a few offenses that should have been called and were called on other teams in the 2024 playoffs. Example: the hit at center ice on Holloway is interference as he did not have the puck. OR when Ekholm is tripped deep in the Dallas end in game 1 but no call. None of the slashes to the hands have been called either, yet the refs have called several on the Oilers so far.
@@franklindcottrell it's not about playing 5 on 5, it's about one team getting on average less calls against them the other. Game 1 was very tight checking from both sides, but Dallas had 5 power plays versus 1 for Edmonton.

Finally, I do know how to predict whether goaltender interference will be called. It is solely based on which player makes the actual contact. Not who caused the contact. So, if I launch the attacking player into the goalie with a cannon that's GI. If I launch the defender into the goalie with a cannon, it's not.
