Episode 7 gets me every time, and so many times.
Stack up on the tissues now buddy, this is where the emotional rollercoaster really hits hard
Violet evergarden is a wonderful show because it tackles hard situations in Life and trying to find solution to keep moving forward.
I can't wait for episode 10 that was my absolute favourite episode both in Story, emotionel Journey, and solution.
Continue the journey and I hope you still will enjoy violet evergarden.
16:46 "Beautifully Heartbreaking" is a wonderful way of expressing this episode and VE in general. It is a show that can be very sad and very heartwarming at the same time.
As you are a parent, I see it hit you very hard. One possible suggestion for another Anime movie is Maquia, When the Promised Flower Blooms. Anyone who is a parent will find value in this movie.
I can say, over the many, many times I’ve watched this show, I’ve yet to survive without crying.
The first time through I survived until "that episode" and Violet Evergarden became the first anime to make me cry

@@Bell81208 nah I lost it from the brother episode (3). And I am not someone who cries almost at all but I related a lot, especially having siblings. Prior to Violet I had cries maybe to twice in anime and in 2 movies when it came to media and I had watched hundreds of movies and series and dozens of anime.
Ohh man We are really close to episode 10
you now see why this has jumped into the top 5 anime for me, It can bring many emotions and while this one will make one cry, there are others beyond this one which make me cry like a baby.

18:30 My philosophy on this is that whether you deserve to live or not, dying isn't a good atonement for committing great injustices. A dead person can't pay the world back anything for what they took from it. Violet killed all those people, and while guilt and shame aren't enough in the way of making amends, choosing to die because you deserve it is even more useless. Live, bear the weight of your sins, and put the good you can into the world, that's how you atone.

The first episode of this anime that made me cry.
The first sentence of the ending at the end of this episode is a gut punch. This one was hard to watch when it was released.
("you are my guiding light" is the first sentence of the ending for those that watched this without the ending subbed.)
Best to have a truckload of tissue from here on out. Though you'll use up most of them on episode 10 alone

Males requires more specific certain things to get to their emotions, sadness, and tears... and one of those things... is Violet Evergarden... PERFECTION... truly, she's a goddess that came down to the earth... a goddess of beauty... and a goddess of... death...

poor Violet... now that she's having/experience (and understanding) feelings and emotions... that also means... all of the negative feelings and emotions... too... not just the good and happy ones...
normal people get used to handling them, as they grow up experiencing them and dealing with them...
but not Violet... she's experiencing them for her first time, and haven't been learning all this time with how to deal with them like everyone else...
this is not a good situation, a very bad situation, a very dangerous situation, a very dire situation...
sadness, pain, misery, guilt, remorse, regret, loneliness, abandonment, emptiness, uselessness, failure, etc etc etc....
(just hope "super-child-soldier" Violet never experiences... HATE, ANGER, and RAGE.... or the entire world is f'ked)
