    I bought the first OnePlus Phone back when you had to get an invite to purchase the phone and seeing them release this tablet has me excited to get it! The phone was ahead of its time with features this is a good competitor for the iPad

    I've been using iPads for years, and this might be a game changer. Granted, I'm not a pro user (mostly productivity, I teach) but this tablet has a lot of features I've been waiting for Apple to implement for years now.

    I do like the color and design of the tablet, but I’m NOT an android guy. So, I’m just here for the glorious SKB and his fresh video editing style. Also, NWO 4 Life, buddy! Those are my main takeaways from this video.

    Great video... I just got my OnePlus tablet with the keyboard for free. Amazon had a deal Not sure if it's still going but for 479 you got the tablet and the keyboard. Great deal! If I'm not mistaken there is a 12 gig model with 256 GB of storage but that may have to be imported

    I like the design, and i like the color as well. And the price point is a killer against what apple charges for it. But i would buy an iPad anyway, and that is simply: Because of the software. The amount of apps which are adjusted and take full advantage of that bigger screen are fairly limited.
    And i don't talk about content consuming stuff like videos, pictures and eBooks. That stuff barely scales by itself. Also Websites are not what i'm talking about. I'm talking about Apps which offer additional options, buttons, status bars and just more UI available.

    • @michaelcorcoran8768
      @michaelcorcoran8768 Рік тому +1

      The primary advantage would be that this will get 3 years of Android updates in 4 years of security patches while the tab S7 will be stuck on Android 13. But the tab S7 has video output and Dex. ... And you can probably find it for less than $300 on the resale market.
      They also have versions with 512 GB of storage and it has expandable storage so I would probably lean towards the tab S7 unless you care about getting Android 14 and 15 etc.

    I think it looks pretty nice but I wish it had video output. I know a lot of people use tablets just for media consumption but I think they can be valuable productivity devices. This is obviously an area where Samsung has dex -- And that is a huge draw for me for their tablets. Even the iPad has external screen monitoring support via USBC to HDMI. .

    Charging.
    I have approximately 15+ tablets. All but two are iPads. Those two are OPPads.
    I slow charge everything.
    If the device is made to do 80watt charging and you do it at 12watt. Your device is going to last longer.
    I’ve got multiple OP phones that I charge at 12watt and every one after a year is still at 100% battery health.
    And yah. OP does battery health like iPhone. Only other device that lets me know.
    And if the OPTablet does battery health, which I have not looked at.
    It would be one more reason for me to stop using iPads.

    Apple has been getting away with annoying limitations and portrait cameras because they are technically unrivaled in the tablet space. Waiting for the Pixel Tablet and hopefully Google enriches the Android tablet experience; This OnePlus Pad is good enough for a start, but hopefully they lose the MediaTek processor and go for a Qualcomm one and make a pro tablet variant.

      MediaTek CPU's are actually very strong now, this Dimensity 9000 is not too far off of the Snapdragon Gen 1 in performance. The google tablet will potentially be a fail as the screen refresh rate may not even be 120hz and the Tensor G2 is not a great cpu. Will be better optimized better yes but I'm not expecting much and the price will be higher. The battery on this oneplus tablet is said to be absolutely amazing too, wont be seeing that on the tensor G2.

    128 GB of storage? I really really don’t understand why Apple and all other competitors are ultra pro MAX greedy on storage and how can they get away with it? especially when storage is so cheap in now days. It should be a minimum of 1tb for base models!

    Hardly worthy of being called a competitor to the iPad honestly. Despite all the improvements that have been made to tablets through the last couple of Android versions, most applications still aren't designed to take advantage of it.

    It's still absurd to realize that, except perhaps for gaming (and even that remains to be verified), the Galaxy Tab S7/S7+ are better at all levels than all the Android tablets (except Tab S8) released after them 🤦🏽‍♂️
    Another Android tablet with a USB-C 2.0 port in 2023, no fingerprint sensor, no SD card support, and above all no software really adapted and designed for tablets 😬
    Android manufacturers, including Samsung, really need to think about stopping using smartphone processors in their tablets, it's really time to have processors that are much more powerful than those of Android smartphones and specially designed for tablets, it's not normal that a 2018 iPad Pro is even more powerful than all the Android tablets released last year and even this year.
    Ps: Android tablet without SD card support is big bul#shit !!!

    • @carlbrenda6518
      @carlbrenda6518 Рік тому

      A 2018 iPad Pro may be more powerful spec wise, but in 2023 it's nearing the end of it's life cycle. Also people tend to forget the price of the "superior" device they are making comparisons to. SD card would be nice, but 128gb is sufficient for apps. a usb-c storage drive can be used for adding/removing to free up storage. $479.00 is a fair preice for what it offers....

    • @rolins3279
      @rolins3279 Рік тому

      @@carlbrenda6518 I just took the iPad Pro 2018 as an example to show how Android tablets are left out of the game if we want to talk.
      Otherwise, you can have a refurbished 2020 iPad Pro from Apple or Amazon, around $500.
      Ps:I think even the 2018 iPad Pro will still get at least 2-3 iPad Os updates.

    • @rolins3279
      @rolins3279 Рік тому

      i never needed an sd card since 2019
      i always bought like 256gb of storage which was enough
      sd cards are way slower than ufs (but honestly since so many want sd card slots why not add one)
      putting a "better" SoC in your tablet ruins the battery life (i have seen the m1 ipad pro getting a 6 hour SoT while the ipad 9th gen got 10 hours)
      currently im using a xiaomi pad 5 pro which is great for gaming but i really wish they made their os better
      i even flashed a custom rom but that didn't make things much better
