    I agree the 12 is a great return to form and the most complete oneplus in a while. I think camera from the 11 was great just lacking in zoom now it's competitive.

    after almost 10 years on android, I spent the last few years on an iphone just because I wanted a different view. I received my OnePlus 12 yesterday and I am so falling back in love with Android. This phone is brilliant, the quality reminds me of my old Huawei Mate 20 X but way better! Aside from the optics, the performance and software is out of this world

      How is it the camera in OnePlus 12 compared to iphone 15 pro and Samsung s23ultra ??

  • @tsenif
    @tsenif 4 місяці тому +6

    I'll try to keep this comment short. I'm heavily into smartphone photography & i can confidently say that this OnePlus 12 capture more detail & produces better photos (for my photography style) than my Galaxy S23 Ultra & iPhone 15 Pro Max, ESPECIALLY with the 3x telephoto. That 64MP sensor blows away the 3x on the S23 Ultra. Much more detail & the color science of the OnePlus is phenomenal.
    Anyone who says that the OnePlus 12 is lacking in terms of cameras, does not know how to shoot photos on smartphones. They're excellent cameras.

      I use a s24 ultra and a Oneplus12 and I absolutely agree. The periscope zoom is fantastic, and most of the time, even better than s24u. Also, the processing is so natural. Put side by side you can see how oversharpen samsung is (even though s24u is already much better than the s23u)

      @@ben_linux6474I use both phones as well and I agree that the OnePlus 12 takes better photos than the S24 Ultra. When I got the OnePlus 12, I was not expecting the cameras to be good, but I got to say that OnePlus exceeded my expectations. Something about the OnePlus photos looks really pleasing. I think this could be due to the Hassleblad collaboration and OnePlus finally taking the cameras more seriously. The one area where I will give Samsung the win is video. If OnePlus can fine tune the video quality, that would be great. In terms the S24 Ultra’s photo quality, I am quite dissapointed. Even after the most recent software update, Samsung still did not fix the over-sharpening issue in both the regular and Expert RAW modes. Expert RAW is pretty much unusable for the time being until Samsung addresses this issue.

      Based purely on cameras, OnePlus 12 definitely beats the standard iPhone 15 and 15+. But the pro and pro max beat the OnePlus. But not by too much, in daylight shots all flagships are getting pretty much the same quality just different colours

  • @davidbezzant9820

    Awesome video mate. I really think the whole problem was they massively over hyped the initial collaboration with Hasselblad. Most tech reviewers and myself thought it would lead to hardware input from them (glass for the lenses like Leica are doing ect). And it also came at a weird time, because as you touched on it was announced after the OnePlus 8 which was the best camera system they had ever produced at that time.
    The OnePlus 9 then had some good hardware, big upgrades to the two sensors for main and ultra wide but the results were worse somehow worse lol. They did improve it after many updates but the ship had sailed by then for consumers. The 10 pro was very forgetful, and i actually think they stopped trying to improve it woth updates after Jerryrigs snapped it in half lol they probably assumed no more people were gonna buy it. The 11 seemed like they were trying to play safe, back to the drawing board almost and it was pretty decent again.
    The 12 looks to me like a last hail mary, it really seems like they have thrown the absolute best they can at it for the price (obviously can't make it a oppo find x7 ultra clone, if they put more into it they probably won't even break even) and they have priced it very aggressively in the USA. Im hoping it sells well there, i saw they had great pre sales in the UK (even though it isn't priced as cheaply here) so that's a good sign.
    OnePlus needs to make money on this phone, no company can keep making a loss lol

      Yeah, I agree I would have liked a newer sensor but at least it's a half inch. And the results look pretty good surprisingly. The Samsung s24 ultra is using a ultra wide sensor that's 5 generations old now, and the regular 24 & s24+ is using an even smaller one with fixed focus!! Not to mention the tiny 3x zoom sensors lol
