    6:47 is my favorite part of the video talking about contacts that can slow down the progression of myopia. This is a whole discussion.

    Does being cross-eyed with strabismus have any effect on using or getting contacts 🧐?

    • @DrEyeGuy
      @DrEyeGuy  21 день тому +2

      No, usually there are no issues with that, and some cases could even be recommended to wear contacts.

      I agree with Dr Guymon on this. If the eyes like to turn inward, and you’re far-sighted, then there is a good chance the eyes will turn in less and it could actually even line the eyes up perfectly in some cases.

    Your videos are amazing! I honestly think that you deserve way more attention. You explain everything so well and it's very easy to understand which is great! Keep it up!
    Oh and I have a few questions yet again. My eye doctor told me that I finally healed from conjunctivitis but I have minimal dandruffs on my eyelashes (on the end of them to be more specific) which I guess means that I blepharitis. I was wondering, could blepharitis be the cause of me having yellow discharge in the corner of my eyes (on the sides towards my nose to be more specific again)? I also noticed that when I blink my eyes (mostly the left) makes weird clicking/popping sounds. They weren't this loud before. Could dry eye be the cause of this since I have that too? And it's interesting how for me sometimes dry eye appears in only one eye and not in both at the same time. It always changes. Sometimes it's worse in my left eye and sometimes it's worse in the right. And it also burns like hell. I do use artificial tears and warm compress too but they don't seem to always help. Is there something else that I could do to make my eyes feel better? I hope I'm not bothering you with this many questions but my eye doctor didn't gave me perfect answers that could help me :/

    Hi Neil, thank you for all your videos. It has helped me better understand my MGD and also RCE. I came across NovaTears Omega 3 eye drops and noticed on the box it states that this drop is 'antimicrobial'. Can you please let me know what it means that the NovaTears Omega 3 eye drops is antimicrobial? Thanks

    Hi! I have a question. I'm a 42 year old adult, and I've been trying to get used to my contacts for about a year. I tried to step into them gradually, but after 3-4 hours, they always get blurry, and I can't see to do work. I have a lot of trouble taking them out still, so 3 hours isn't worth the effort. Lately, I've just resorted to wearing glasses again because I need to see what I'm doing. I really want to get used to them. Is there anything I can do to make this process easier?

      Same here! Why does one eye get blurry after awhile? Am I supposed to add eye drops on top or remove them & start over?

    • @DrEyeGuy
      @DrEyeGuy  21 день тому

      I don't know of any medications for color blindness. But, there are certain tints that can be done on contact lenses that may help some people with color blindness.

    Hello doctor thank you for uploading this vidio im one of the 1st timer user of contact lenses and i want to know if the contact lenses will be useable for 1year?? Because i buy contacts lenses and the doctor tell me that it will last for 1year

      An unopened package of soft contact lenses can last years. It does have an expiration date on it though, and it's usually printed on the packaging. Depending on the brand of soft contacts, will determine how long you can use them when opened. Hard contact lenses usually last longer.

    I have keratconus and when I wear my sclerals at night when its cold my eyes feels cold is that bad or it fine ?

    • @DrEyeGuy
      @DrEyeGuy  21 день тому +1

      Yes, it is fine, but the cold can affect dryness in the eye, which can affect clarity of the contacts that way.

    Dear doctor please please answer i am so worried i am 22 my eye pressure right side is 19 and left 23. And i only done puff test and the doctor looked into my eye with his rooms microscope with a light and said it has no problem and that presure is ok, but I forgot to tell him that my mother and grandfather had glaucoma but in 50, so no i am worried and dont know what to do, another doctor said you should check 6 months to know if optic nerve damage or anything but i dont know shall i believe them, wouldn't that be too late, and i had blurry vision 2-3 times in past 6 months i am a medical student studying hard on ipad for 15 hours with a lot of stress which may be also contributing. I dont know what to do. And is there anything working like eating bluberry or anything . Qill i be precribed with iop eye drops? Are they for life? Do they have side effects? If this pressure lead me to glaucoma in my 20s will i get blind by 40s?
    And please i have one more question in the next two weeks i am going to check my eve pressure again with the GAT and corneal thickness measure and if my pressure was still borderline shall i accept the doctors advice to not take any treatment and just keep checking 6 monthly or shall i start taking iop lowering drops if he said? Wouldnt it be bad to start taking drops from my age and with knowing the fact that drops have side effects.. And wouldn't it be risky to just leave it as it is and wait until it damages the nerve and when that happens Then start taking treatment as some doctors say. i wish i could visit you because my case is rare in Iraq and the doctors tell me it is nothing, but i cant be confident. And I can't visit doctors abroad as I am Iraqi. I am so worried about what to do next. I truly appreciate it if vou can reply
