Keep being true to yourself and those who care too much what people think are sheep not leaders. New material is fantastic and my favorite output from him in a while. Also, the outfit he’s wearing during the interview is FIERCE!
Refreshing honesty, ultimately your mental health is actually the most important. I think the key is to balance unstructured creativity with the stability of structure.
saw him at AVA, Belfast. IMO he was miles ahead of everybody else & his music stood out so much as being original, inate & POWERFUL..!! xD im debating travelling just to see him again
great interview, loved how naturaly they got into deeper territory which even if it wasn t idk super delved into, was enough to clue us in on a famed producer's mental behind the scenes
Good interviewer, that was a nice chat to listen to. Thanks, Dekmantel! dear Jamie, I love that you mentioned intuition! My humble 2 cents/pennies on whether techno/dance music is healing: considering the theory of chakras and kundalini energy, rhythmic and low frequency sound waves affect the root chakra to be balanced and they facilitate the opening of the kundalini energy through all chakras so it sustains a mind-body synergistic connection with the rhythm of the Universe, BUT important caveat: the listener/dancer/raver must have the awareness and intention for that to take effect. At parties, when I soberly focus on the rhythm, I feel the deep connection and synchronization between mind, body, soul dancing together, so kind of healing/grounding, but likely I'm in the minority on this. And still I agree about the dark sides mentioned. Jamie, give yoga another chance...also for anyone reading this: Yoga, authentic yoga, as intended from 5000 years ago, is beyond the poses. It encompasses sound healing, breathwork, meditation, spiritual concepts...all in harmony and unity towards enlightenment. I have much more to say and show about that... *love and light*
