If you look at the reel schematics, you can see where the stella's 3 additional bearings are. The stella is the only reel where shimano puts bearings on the worm gear instead of bushings and a bearing at the base of the main shaft. The TP is pretty sweet though for anything requiring cranking. If you want the best start and stop inertia though the vanquish is best.
Felt the twin power and Stella both at a tackle shop and tbh the twin power felt a little bit smoother to me, not sure why. Maybe that Stella in particular has been sitting around a bit longer than the twin power but it felt soooo nice
Stella's are still designed differently inside and with the drag. Cosmetically a little different. I used the FK for 2 years and I would have to use this reel. Spinning it in a store doesnt do justice. Both are nice.
Wrong - having both the twin power Fe and Stella Fk. The Stella still tops the twin. Where do you think all those features in the twin come from ? The Stella. Also you can get the twin power fe for around $305 straight from Japan and the Stella for right around $550
lol let me guess you started a tackle business recently right? You catch a couple of trout every once in a while and you’re an expert? I’ve been buying twinpowers since they were jdm only for years. And shimano always keeps it one level below the Stella. So keep telling yourself that it’s “new” buddy.
I own a team lews custom pro tell that holds a similar amount of line and has basically the exact same stats as that one and is extremely smooth with 12 pretty high quality bearings and it is only like 150 this reel seems like a waste of
This reel has way more features than that Lews. Just go look at the break down. It’s not all about bearings. It’s also IPX8 water proof rating. A lot better for saltwater
@@sreckomiljkovic774 whats your definition of bad ball bearings. what specifications for ball bearings would you like to see in fishing reels? ABEC 9 only?
@@sreckomiljkovic774 the higher rated ABEC 7+ bearings are designedfor machinery that runs at speeds around 30,000 RPM + that require zero vibration. Since none of the spools will ever see those speeds there is no needto use anything higher than an ABEC 5 bearing. Most people can't cast well enough to even require them. The stock bearings are more than sufficient to do most of what we do.
@@frostizz2072 actually it’s probably more like IPX6. The SW variations also have the X shield as well which makes them about IPX8. This one has only X protect but X protect along with shielded rust free bearings go a long way in saltwater. For example, my Stradic with X protect has gotten beat up in saltwater and still super smooth. The one area you want to oil frequently is the roller bearing because that will go if you don’t rinse it or oil it from time to time
In Japan, I could grab 24 Twinpower C5000XG, less than 300$. Actually, 290$ - 3500 JPY point back event term = so, 260$ In US, It is ripoff price. ぼったくり

Stella has a few more features that twimpower doesn't have
But this is a marketing strategy of selling this
Not to mention they are used for entirely different applications. Would be similar to comparing a Metanium to a Bantam.
me and my nasci crying in the corner
Dude I love my Nasci. I landed a 45 inch striper on my 3000k and 7’ medium light rod. Really fantastic reel
❤ nasci
Stella is the top
Holy shit, I would never spend that for a spinning reel
I want both. But still saving up for the cheap one for now
Heyo
woah 400 dollars? and here i was dropping 💵 on 80-100 dollar reels thinking they was expensive 😂

Im barely can afford good one but heyy,
Next month my my first order of stradic gonna be my first mid range reel
I bought the 3000XG and love it. Clapped a 20lb snook first time using it
Stella is better
if compare to vanquish yes...compare to stella nope thats another level
9.2 oz wow that's 260g beefy sucker.
I'm looking at an aero technium
Well I’ll just keep running my tatulas I got for $135 and call it a day lol.

Smart on Shimano they will sell more twin powers than stellas anyway
Man you had me until the price came up
This one or vanquish?
This one so you're not hung up to dry with warranty
What size was this one? 4000?
Twinpower has been around for ages buddy
Not this one “buddy”

Yep, nailed it. You got me
Just stick to your Stradics. That’s what you need for those giant redfish that fight so hard. Or better yet to your fly bs😂😂

so another stella... twin power ment somthing back in days, to me ,only TP dyed....
Stella is king
Nobody talks of worst ball-bearings in the history of bearings...
you don't need precision bearings for a fishing reel lol. it spools line, it's not a cutting head meant to make .0000001 accurate cuts
@schlomoshekelstein908 its 400€ reel and ball-bearings you need to change after one year, you can buy reel for 50€ and its gonna last longer..

it kills nothing, two different lines, if you hold two, you can tell the difference with blind test.
