Got my Stella at the age of 8 yrs together with a G-Loomis top model spinning rod. Used rod for 21 years until I broke it with car door, and the Stella until this summer (23yrs) when the packaging of the reel cracked and it leaked water. I would say my father’s investment was worth it instead of new gear every third year. So what do you say guys, Stella this time too?
Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.
I have all three, and while the fj, and fk are much lighter and pleasant to use than the SW, the SW has my favorite drag ever. Just sounds and feels so nice with a big fish on.
Even though it may be Japanese built, we have to give them credit on their engineering of details of crank body design, the computer graphics give a good view point of how the gear body is balanced up, when you can feel the bearings the cranking the handle and the reel feels like oil on the tip of your fingers, you test the reel by giving the reel a good throw of wind up body free momentum and it spins many many more times, and it feels as smooth as what it shows itself, I think the engineering in the bearings says it all, the smoother the reel the better the fight, just like a good silky loving woman, caressing is everything
Newbie here. Is the FJ and FK only for freshwater and surf? Can it not be used for saltwater and deep sea fishing? Or is the SW the only dedicated one for that?

"Even though it may be Japanese built"?? U made it sound like its made in China.😂 Japan has always been solid with engineering & technology.
@@azmankhan5415Exactly! I don’t know what he meant by that.
