This nation was built by rebels!
What will they take next from us ?
I still love this so much. I got my bachelors from Ole Miss. I hate the idiot who took it away and damn the political correctness that made him think he had to do it.
I just don't understand the big fuss I am from the MS delta and I'm black and this song does not bother me. I know y its being played and to be honest its a beautiful song..
Bonita....
It's a sad day when a school is stripped of its heritage and tradition because it wasn't politically correct. Hope they bring it back.
@tgrfan42069 Im a Tiger too. This has always been on my iPod. Its sad they got raped by the NCAA twice. Once with the song and then with the removal of Colonel Reb. Im surprised they havnt come after us and LSU since Tiger Rag was mde famous by Dixieland Jazz Band and is from the musical genre of Dixieland. I feel like if you mention the South today, then you are condemned by the 'PC' Police. Go Tigers
INTERESTING!!!!!!..GERMANY AND JAPAN STILL PLAY THEIR WWII NATIONAL ANTHEMS AND THAT IS OK
BUT YOU CANNOT PLAY DIXIE AT A FOOTBALL GAME
1191gra Germany dosent play it's WWII anthem
As well as Russia, they just changed the words
Ole Miss plays Dixie with from love
No es Dixie exactamente. Es una variante de An American Trilogy de Elvis Presley..
I hate that they stopped playing Dixie
I'm a northener and a Ducks fan, but beautiful song. Shame these liberal maniacs up here try to ruin historical culture like in the south.
Oops...I messed up the context of my post. But you get the general idea.
@HectorEscobar: The New York Yankees are "Yankees" because they play in the American League, and because the New York newspaper editors preferred to write "Yanks" in their headlines rather than "Highlanders" to save characters. The Civil War has nothing to do with it.
You people do know the song was written for a play by a New Yorker who was making fun of the south and its people? It’s weird that it holds a place in so many southern hearts when it was not written by a southerner nor meant to portray southerners in a positive light.
Why'd the girl filming this tell her friend not to stand up?
same here who is this?
I like the Confederates!
If your heart ain't in Dixie, then get your ass out.
The damn liberals took the best song from the most loved team in Mississippi and the fans didn't have one thing to say about it!
A disgrace to take away Dixie and the Ole Miss Reb.. that is Ole Miss!
I don't believe that most think of Dixie being racism, bunch of bull...
Bring it back to make "Ole Miss" what we are known for..
Funny how much liberal bashing is going on here, when there's plenty of liberals who enjoy the song. You don't have to have a political agenda to like a song.
It’s the liberals who caused this shit. They don’t get to enjoy the song
The whole of the stadium should have taken a knee that day !! What in the heck is going on ?? Music should be protected under freedom of speech. Morons who do not look at ALL of history ...how can they have such power ?
