  • Physics practical on electricity using constantan wire, a voltmeter, and a 2 Ohm standard resistor:
    "In this physics practical session, we delve into the fundamentals of electrical circuits using essential components: constantan wire, a precision voltmeter, and a 2 Ohm standard resistor. Watch as we explore the principles of resistance, Ohm's Law, and the behavior of electric currents in a controlled environment. Join us as we measure voltage across the resistor using the voltmeter and demonstrate the practical application of theoretical concepts. Whether you're a student studying physics or simply curious about electricity, this demonstration will provide valuable insights into the world of electrical circuits. Stay tuned for a hands-on learning experience that illuminates the power of physics in action!"
    Feel free to adjust the description based on the specific focus or details of your practical session.

    😅I hear people comment saying *there's no Potentiometer* .. they forget to realize that 100cm of Constantine wire from point A to B is equivalently equal to a Potentiometer
    I.e Potentiometer= 100cm of Constantine wire
    Its working principle; V ~ L
    V= I L Electric potential ( Slope ) I
    = ∆ V / ∆L is equivalent to V/R
    V= I R. V/R
    Am with you Boss...❤

    You're a genius Boss... But students ought to understand the different circuit set-up diagrams(5 to 7) for this particular experiment but there are all pretty much the same...😊

    Weldone bro.
    I thought since lenght increases with pd, why is pd for 20cm greater than that of other higher lenght on the custantine wire

      I tried to explain that but maybe you didn’t get it or I didn’t lay much emphasis on it

    Yes that is NECO for you, potentiometer is the 100cm wire that is why joekey is part of the specimen.

    Well done sir
    But what is the difference between potentiometer and meter bridge relating to their diagram

  • @teamfcglobal6833

    Just to clear the air..😅😅 my OGA don finish work...
    Things to Note as a Physicist!!😅
    1. 100cm of Constantine wire= Potentiometer
    2. Metre-bridge= Potentiometer
    3. Potentiometer x= Metre-bridge
    4. The working principle of a Potentiometer is
    V ~ L
    V = I L ...(I = electric potential)
    ....🎉🎉Also.......
    IR = I L
    R ~ L.......
    R = s L...... (∆R/∆L = slope; s)
    s X Area = electrical resistivity
    5. Parameters to evaluate are almost endless 😂 but for the basics, you might be asked to
    ~ record only L & V. i.e v~L
    ~evaluate ; V-1, V/R, R/L, log V-1, L-1....
    It's probably a
    ~ graph of V-1 vs L;
    evaluate P= s X Vo X R
    = Slope x 3 x 2
    (Resistance per unit length)
    But my 🤔 candid advice for teachers is to run the experiment and evaluate ∆V/∆L = slope📈= electric potential ( i) 🔌and
    ∆V-1/ ∆L= slope its a constant since you might be asked to record it for evaluation in your report sheet..✅
    6. The circuit diagram setup for the experiment come in different forms but there are all the same thing..😊
    7. The practical is indeed 💯%™ simple/easy... No stress at all 😬...

      Thank you so much. @Teamfcglobal. Your support to this channel is massive.
      You see when I read some comments. I just smile. But, how you dey take know all these things. I will do the graph in a separate video. I will plot as you suggested.

      Sir, please, is there no way one could manipulate the readings... Ur video on waec(mechanics) saved me because the apparatus wasn't even provided for some of us who were writing on our own.

      ~100cm of Constantine wire= Potentiometer no matter the electrical circuit set-up...
      ~ metre-bridge= Potentiometer
      ~potentiometer not = to metre-bridge

      A 100cm wire and a jockey and a meter rule. If you combine them you can have a potentiometer
