    Looks great.... I have a side yard of English ivy that has just taken over. I'm going to try the string trimmer thing that you used & see how that works ....Thanks

    It does look much better afterwards. If those are crepe myrtle shoots your trying to stop from growing it’s bout impossible without hurting your ivy and maybe the crepe myrtle itself, I’d just keep doing as your doing and pulling and/or cutting them

      Thank you for the advice. I thought that might be the case; the rogue crepe myrtles drive me nuts.

      That it is. I would just worry about erosion on the hill area

    Why are the kids outside around dangerous tools?

      Thank you for your concern, but they are outside with me because I am a stay-at-home dad and, well, I can't leave them inside unsupervised. I am very careful when they are around me while I am working and they like to help when they can.
