  • Are events measured by time? Or is time created by sequences of events? Which is more fundamental, events or time? Worse, we may get different answers from quantum mechanics and general relativity.

    maybe the more general feature is that any two particles have some capacity to interact, and our notions of time and space have emerged only to express that capacity. So no absolute time or space, first you need things in the world that are capable of interacting. Once those things exist, time and space emerge as metrics to describe separation - or the degree to which any two particles are not undergoing an interaction.

    As I was walking down the street one day
    A man came up to me and asked me what the time was that was on my watch, yeah
    And I said
    Does anybody really know what time it is (I don't)
    Does anybody really care (care about time)
    If so I can't imagine why (no, no)
    We've all got time enough to cry

    Your so lucky you get to talk with all the smartest people. I would say your on his level at this point. I feel like your key to probing out the TRUTH. All these great scientists are so focused they may trap themselves in their ideas. It's possible that they may have solved a truth but didn't realize it. Im sure your the BEST at asking the right questions 🤔💡❤️

    I'm with Max, no block universe.
    The core is harmonic regularity, the outer darkness is random noise, we are in the space between them. Every engine takes advantage of a difference. These two extremes are woven into each other. The eternal now is the processing of meaning.

    My take on Nurture of Time: is as follows, it's a by-product of the expansion/impact of (photon exhaust)creating a Space-Time kinda Plasma; as Space -volume expands and compresses Dark Matter against Photons as a result. The word 'reality' trips blithely from the lips of many who think they know it.
    But if we knew reality we'd have no need of science.
    We cannot grasp "reality", only our own thoughts.
    Thoughts are purely analogical resembling clouds more than crystals.
    Some assert thoughts are what reality is made of.
    Hard to argue but madness lies in that direction.
    Language is pretty tricky in its dynamic distant depths and
    I'd rather write than speak impromptu so I say kudos to you.

    I thank time is emergent from the Quantum Gravity Field as are all particles that make up all matter and all the information as well as all, past, present and future time are inherent and native to that field. The question is, what drives this field if anything and is it irreducible? Planck says yes to the latter.

    Each photon oscillation only occurs once forming an uncertain future relative to the atoms of the periodic table. Such a process will form what we see and feel as a period of time with each moment being formed by a photon electron coupling or dipole moment. The electron is the most spherical object in the universe and we have the future unfolding with each photon electron interaction with perfect symmetry between the matter and antimatter and positive and negative charge.

      An artist theory on the physics of 'Time' as a physical process. Quantum Atom Theory I've seen your work. You are one of my best references in consciousness research. I'm curious if observation, collapsing the wave f(x), is what we experience as duplicate or grouping random events....double jinx let's say. If there is an objective reality where an observer is connected to space-time....we're talking all kinds of radical implications.

    I’m still trying to get my head around “ imaginary time” and time actually having a shape. Is this evidence of the holographic principle? Did time exist before the Big Bang? And if it did, is time the bridge between General relativity and QT?

  • @matonmongo
    @matonmongo 4 роки тому

    Amazing, and thought-provoking. So perhaps there is no time, or even 'space' as a separate value, but only a sequence of 'events' and 'processes' occurring within the ground of 'nothingness'. BTW, the Brit philosopher, mathematician and physicist Alfred North Whitehead thought much the same thing, and built a 'religion' around it called Process Theology.

  • @mitchwaller8225
    @mitchwaller8225 6 років тому +2

    For many years now I have also thought that time is simply change. All measures of time become irrelevant in a truely changeless universe. A million years will pass and no frozen observer could ever possibly know or measure how much time had passed during the frozen period. Much like ‘Heat death’ you could have ‘Time death’

    • @SidneyBloom
      @SidneyBloom 6 років тому +1

      Mmm... I'm still not convinced. For change to be real, the possibility of it (change) is a prerequisite. For a system to be able to go from state A to state B (or from cause to effect if you want), first it must be possible for it to make that transition, and that "thing" that "allows" it is time, as fuzzy and relative as it may be. Change comes as a consequence of it. I don't think a truly changeless universe can exist, considering how "lively" vacuum actually is. I'm just "thinking out loud" here, not exactly asking you, hehe.

    • @mitchwaller8225
      @mitchwaller8225 6 років тому +1

      SidneyBloom Interesting, is it “time” that makes “change” possible OR is it “change” that makes “time” measurable or observable? Think about that.. I believe that semantics have a big bearing on a persons view point when thinking about these difficult concepts.
      From my point of view, I can’t separate change from time. They appear to be codependent. So much so, that in my mind they are two different words to describe the one same phenomena.
      To an observer, time is meaningless without change. However you could also argue that change is impossible without time. I can’t see them as separate concepts.

    • @SidneyBloom
      @SidneyBloom 6 років тому +1

      Yes, I agree semantics is very important here. Even with respect to your last paragraph. "To observe" is a process, I'm not sure if we can define something as "an observer" in a universe without change/time.

    • @mitchwaller8225
      @mitchwaller8225 6 років тому +1

      SidneyBloom Yes I can’t imagine a universe in a fixed or frozen state that has any observers at all.
      If observation is an “event” then it is a “change” in the state of that universe. Time would most likely be required for observation to take place.

    • @mitchwaller8225
      @mitchwaller8225 6 років тому +1

      SidneyBloom However, I can imagine a frozen observer. eg. a human locked in suspended animation. They don’t or can’t observe anything until time allows change to occur within the physical state of that human mind. That mind can then change and can then “record” changes occurring relative to it and relative to the rest of the universe. Time is the crucial ingredient.
      When I ponder the universe I see that nothing anywhere in the entirety of the universe is ever at rest. Absolutely every known particle, every lump of mass, every wave, is moving relative to most of everything else in the universe. “Rest” can only appear to exist when something’s motion is very closely synchronised to an observers trajectory through space time. From my point of view the concept of “rest” is a human fiction which doesn’t really exist anywhere at all, in this universe, ever.

    There are two things that is matter was it there before even before the universe existed and next is what is the interaction between matter and space

    • @venkateshbabu5623
      @venkateshbabu5623 6 років тому

      If matter existed then it was a infinite long line of thin strand. And if space interacted then it creates disturbance in mass by push and pull And it splits line to strands and shreds so that a clump of the mass was produced like clay models and spun around. Space was created because of the void.

    In 2040,would an advanced computer that asks itself questions, be bothering to ask such questions?
    Is not time just a riddle that humans invented to confuse themselves? Apart from being able to measure time,
    in ways taught it by humans, would this computer have any awareness of time? Our mortality is what makes time so important to us.
    Would a computer have such a sense of impermanence?

    What is Time?
    1. Assume the three dimensional
    Universe is inside a three dimensional photo Frame. Everything in this universe
    is dynamic and changing in relative to other things and itself. Entropy is
    changing also.
    2. The whole Universe inside the
    frame marked as Now Moment is separated from previous Now Moment by shortest
    possible separator Planck-time.
    3. Last Now Moments are Record,
    History, Memory or Information. Next Now Moments are next changed states of the
    Universe inside Frame.
    4. Only Now Moment Exist. Past and
    Future do not exist. Flow of Time forward or backward does not exist. No arrow
    of time. It is arrow of Change with elapse of Time. Moment is ticking
    repeatedly at Planck-Time interval with a new 3D-Photo of the Universe.
    5. Conscious Mind can make
    predictions of next Moments from experience and can plan events for next
    Moments.
    6. Every Planck-Volume’s “Now” of
    the Universe including space and stuffs in it is always in the same Now Moment
    Frame of the Universe. Relative Clock ticking, fast or slow, at different planck-volume for different conditions does not shift anything to previous or next Moment Frames of the Universe. Because clocks ticking slow or fast does not mean Time elapsing slow or fast. It is error of the clock for certain condition which need to be adjusted. All points Now remain in the Now Moment Frame of the Universe. That is why twins of paradox can meet at any ones Now though
    relatively they are backward or forward in respect of amount of time elapsed.
    Time travel is not possible. Our invented Clocks and Calendars are misleading
    us about time in the repetition of day & night and seasons.
    7. The Unit by Clock is three dimensional at any
    point of the Universe. X axis: Universal Period of Time, Y axis: Passage or
    Elapse of Time and Z axis: Local Present or Now. Our Clocks only show one
    dimension: passage of Time. Clocks are good measuring device with a Unit but that is not Time.

      If time has Planck time as the smallest physical unit, then this would mean that time is discrete, and not continuous, which essentially means that integrating and differentiating equations with respect to time in QFT is meaningless....
