Nostalgia reminds me of simpler times. Makes me feel like a kid again... Even though I'm 39 and working 40 plus hours a week. It just feels good to enjoy the things of my past like it was yesterday. And luckily I can share that with my daughter who is only five. Hearing her say "sweep the leg" nearly brought a tear to my eye.
The thrill of playing a game that I haven’t played in years just makes me smile. And watching my 6 year old son play the games I used to play as a kid just makes me happy
🤔 PLOT TWIST: WATA knows who Rick is and noticed his almost 100k channel could potentially bring in more grading clients and gave him a goood grade. WATA you sly sly dawg 🧐
Love the channel. I grew up in the 80s and 90s. Seeing your videos got me back into hunting and it turns out my kids love the retro life also. Who knew a 12 yr old would fall in love with the 80s. Love sitting there playing Contra with her making memories. Thanks!
Nostalgia is just a reminder of my times when we weren’t so dependent on technology. Being able to grab a toy off the shelf and actually enjoy hours of creative thinking is something I could never give up!
Being a kid was so easy and so fun with absolutely no problems in life, and playing all these awesome old video games takes me back to a chill relaxing time and for that moment I have no worries or problems.
Watch the last video of "Karl Jobst" about Wata and Heritage. I would consider selling as soon as possible before the prices drop again. The things you can do with that money for your family is worth more than having a nice collection piece. BTW I'm also a collector and dad and would sell it asap
Shadiest market. I’d be selling ASAP! The fact a 90s video game with no pop count to know how many others exist in that grade - is worth the same round about figure as an Amazing Fantasy 15 in NM condition, shows how dumb the video game market is. Not to mention, with games being such a new market, people could potential be sitting on 9.8 boxes of these games. Comics have been established for soo long, any huge book has basically been accounted for.
Yeah, I went to bed super-super-super late because I was watching that video last night and the connection that Karl Jobst put forth to the 1980s certified coin bubble, assuming he has all of his facts straight, was illuminating.
Came here to give this same advice after watching Karl's video. Dont want to see Rick get hit because that bubble is gonna burst soon now that things have had light shed upon them.
The nostalgia is real for me. As a Mother of three and oldest born in 1980 and youngest in 1991, all your videos are a treat to watch and reminisce of consoles, games, heroes, figurines, board games that we’ve bought over the years. As a grandmother now of little gamers (granddaughters), it’s fun to find vintage items for them and my kids. As a reseller, your knowledge is invaluable and I appreciate your time. 100k is right around the corner. It should be 250k with all your quality videos!! Fan forever. Wishing much success!!
Being able to play and bring back memories. I love looking back at my old toys when my son is playing with them. It’s rewarding seeing him play with my old toys I enjoyed because they were passed down a generation!
I think what I'm drawn to most about nostalgia is the idea of continuing our childhood. There's no reason to stop doing things you love just because you get older. It connects you to your past. You remember your friends, your family, other things you did back then. It's a very unique feeling that nothing can beat. Gotta remember who you are
My brother referred me to your channel and (admittedly) it took me too long to check you out. Ever since I did, you've been a part of my daily routine. My wife and I watch you together and then go out hunting ourselves to see what we can find in our own area. We even get excited to see things you showcase on your videos. Nostalgia has been a massive part of our relationship especially in the last year and a half. Thank you for bringing us so much more nostalgia, great videos, great tips and tricks and much more. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed!!
Nostalgia for me is remembering the simpler times and innocence of being a kid, as well as reliving childhood memories! I connect to video game and tv show nostalgia the most, it really just throws me back to so many happy memories!

I still remember spending hours and rolls of quarters at the local arcade…and then Nintendo started a paradigm shift. The nostalgia is that I grew up in the era of video gaming and watched it progress through the years from new consoles to epic games. It’s amazing how my son equally enjoys the retro gaming as well as the new generation of amazing games. Hours of fun and a part of history. I was there.

i was going to mention this same thing. those prices are so high, but theres no telling for how long, and if these WATA rated games will crash id honestly try to sell it ASAP for what you can
I started the hunt to recollect my childhood games recently, all sealed - not for profits, just for nostalgic and/or sentimental purposes. I want to encapsulate the fond memories I had growing up. For instance, I remember when I was 8 years old and my dad and I entered into a local gameshop Donkey Konga competition. It was so much fun and I still cherish that memory till this day and that nostalgia was the fuel to search for Donkey Konga sealed. I've been doing this with all my childhood gaming-related memories. It's very nice to watch someone else hunting, albeit for different purposes, it makes me happy seeing others love the same media that I do. Huge congrats on the grade, spend the money wisely!

Hey Rick, fellow Arkansan and NLC member here. Congrats on 100,000. Im nostalgic for the games of my childhood and just love sharing them with my kids. Keep up the awesome content and God bless.
For me nostalgia like everyone is about the memories. My parents didn't have a lot of money when I was little, my younger sister and I had to share everything, and we weren't allowed to play our super Nintendo except for 2 hours on a Sunday whilst my dad was out. Super Nintendo and then our prized n64 hold so many wonderful memories for me, my sister and I loved Sundays when we would load golden eye or zelda ocarina of time ( never completed either even though I'm now 32). Movies are the things I love to collect, anything we used to watch as kids sharing a packet of biscuits on the sofa, home alone, matilda, disney ect and there was something truly magical about older films, dunno what, but something. Toys were better made and definitely more appreciated. Im so glad I'm a 90s child, we had the best tv shows, toys, music, snacks.... everything was great 👍
For me nostalgia probably originates from the ps2 me and my brothers had a kid. Sadly we got rid of it when I was starting to get old enough to play the games so all I remember are glimpses of happy moments from games I can’t all remember, I think one of the spongebob movie game lol. Since then I’ve been far more into gaming and collecting of various things from my childhood memories like sports cards, gaming memorabilia, and even toy cars… vroom vroom🏎
My brother and I love watching all your videos ! The nostalgia is so amazing ! Thanks for all the great videos. We're always ready for all the new videos !
the 80s and 90s were the best times to be a child, i'm nostalgic to not only video games and toys, but music and movies as well. Certainly wish we can just go back in time, at least to visit you know 😀😉
Retro Rick, my son and I watch you all the time. You are such an inspiration to my son. So much so, that his current remodeled room is completely 80s and 90s themed. He is 9 and loves everything 80s and 90s too. Super cool for me because I was born in the early 80s and I get to enjoy all my childhood stuff with him. It's awesome to find someone who shares our passion for the older stuff and can help convince a 9 year old that older items, consoles and tech can still be as cool as it was when it was first made and even a current times. Thanks so much for your videos. Keep up the great work!
The nostalgia let’s me be a kid again and experience it with my daughter. When i hear her singing ninja turtles in her room I know I’m raising her right
RICK PLEASE!!!! Before deciding on what to do with your graded game watch: Exposing Fraud and Deception in the Retro Video Game Market!!! (UA-cam) I just saw it and my jaw dropped. Something big has got to happen soon.
Its the memories man, thinking back to a simpler time when it was all about playing with my friends and family that are no longer with me. I find myself going back to certain games like clockwork to capture the nostalgia and relive a piece of the moment. Love the content as always Rick. You are gonna make me clean up my shelving too! How often do you have to dust?
Ever since I discovered this channel I have been going to Goodwill and hunting retro games. Thanks for all the content you put out and congratulations on 100k!
Because of the "feel" of it, it just often has more heart and is more organic in its style. I feel like the world was in its so called "wild west stage" entertainment wise. And THE STYLES!!!! I like old anime like Genshi Shonen Ryu and Ginga Densetsu Weed, so I dont just like "western" media, but the " pulp-y" style of even older stuff. It really was a golden age for me growing up. : )
I decided to go back to the stuff I grew up with after watching your videos from the $10 game collection. I did spend more than $10, but my collection has got bigger and better with only good retro stuff I have always loved. Thank you.
Finding these nostalgic items is almost like a time machine. It takes me back to great memories from my childhood. Thanks for the amazing content Rick!

Best channel ever Rick! 80s and 90s were all about the family spending time together...watching Tv, playing board games or video games! Good times! Thanks for the PS5 opportunity!
What connects me to retro is growing up playing games all night with my brother and being told to go to bed, because we had school the next day. Love the videos!!
I just picked up R-Type Final for $4 at a pawn shop. I started hitting thrift stores and pawn shops after watching your videos and I've had some success. My collection has exploded recently. It makes you feel like a kid again every time you find something from from your past that you once enjoyed.
I was instantly drawn to this channel when I saw one of your old NES shows. I love going back down memory lane. Reminds me of waking up to Saturday morning cartoons, then I would ride my bike to BlockBuster Videos and rent a few games and eat Doritos and drink Dr. Pepper all night enjoying a childhood that can not be duplicated. Man, growing up in the 80’s from watching TramsFormers the 85’ movie, trying to beat Mike Tyson PunchOut, Back to the Future. Actually growing up during these times and experiencing all of these consoles from Atari,Nintendo,3DO,Sega,DreamCast, PlayStation and now looking back on these times are priceless. Thanks for sharing and your time that allows us to relive a portion of this amazing time in my like.
Woot woot! Congrats on the coming 100,000 k subs! Thats really a beautiful game, amazing condition. Retro stuff really brings me back to simpler times as a kid just sitting around with friends playing games with no worries.
90’s nostalgia is my ‘happy place’. So much of the toys/games you find and talk about brings me back. The best is when you mention something I had that forgot about, I love reliving the memory. Keep up the great videos.
Every time I get off from work and get home just to sit back and watch your videos man, they really entertaining, informative, fun and nostalgic, this just made my day.
So glad I ran into your account a little over a year ago. Best part is definitely the deep memories that are unraveled that I had no idea I had. The instant flashbacks of certain items in your background makes these videos for me lol Everything else is just a plus! 🥲🙏🏽
I've been following the channel for awhile now. Having said that I know that SMB3 is one of your favorite things in the Game Room. I'm glad you got it graded and preserved so it can be in the Game Room a long long time. Keep up the good work on making awesome content.
I began collecting old games because of your channel. Sadly not all games i want was found but still it inspire me to look and buy new games and preserve them as mint as possible. so when my child get older he will not experience what i had not done before. Hey Retro Rick!!!! I love watching you find awesome old school video games that I played as a kid with my brothers. Hope you keep finding great deals and stuff!
Have to say I'm honestly stoked that I discovered your channel! Great video. I love the nostalgia of the music in old games or TV shows when I happen to listen to them again it just brings back the most wonderful memories as a little kid

My wife and i watch your videos together and are often reminded of stuff we had growing up .. Keep up the great content..
Nostalgia hits me in waves, Genesis console for example hit me the most years ago since it was my first console. Ultimately games and figures from our childhood really bring a vibe of that time period. Although we can't go back in time we can can reminisce by playing older games or older movies, or do both on the same night to relieve our favorite era. Mine would be the N64 era, no too popular I know. Congratulations on100k subs!
Love the content on both shows and even visited Retro Rick's Gamepoint in Conway on a roadtrip. Thanks for the ideas on collecting games and sharing so much valuable information!!!
As an adult with the heart of a child, it brings me great joy reminiscing about the past playing games on my ps2, listening to 80's pop songs, watching cartoons of the day. It let's me stay as a child stuck in a state of fun and no worries. Instead of collecting items of the past, I have been accumulating and keeping them. I don't think I will ever grow up. I am so glad to be subscribed to your channel and also to Tendo's. Keep up the great content
Love the channel!!! Love seeing those pieces that were totally packed in the back of the brain and then hits you like a ton of bricks when you see them! The Welch’s glasses did it for me! Forgot all about them till you found them in a ton of your vids! Used them every week at my grandmas house back in the day.
I wish I was able to keep all my old retro games from when I was younger but I was out of work and needed the money at the time so I sold them on ebay. Love your collection.
Watching you always was so awesome and it inspired me to find my old collection of games and try to build a room such as yours, and it always fills me with memories of my brother and I playing games together, it’s truly breathtaking the way simple things affect you in the manner they do, that’s why I’m thankful for your channel.

Im so glad I'm a 90s child, we had the best tv shows, toys, music, snacks.... everything was great 👍
I'm 18 and I like older stuff
I'm 18 and I like older stuff
He'll yeah we did.
Definitely feel nostalgia for the games that I owned and ones that I never could afford, and I can now play!
My brother and I love watching all your videos ! The nostalgia is so amazing ! Thanks for all the great videos. We're always ready for all the new videos !
Honestly there’s nothing more satisfied about being at home and just watching retro ricks’s videos
the 80s and 90s were the best times to be a child, i'm nostalgic to not only video games and toys, but music and movies as well. Certainly wish we can just go back in time, at least to visit you know 😀😉
I definitely agree man, it was the shit! 😀
I wrote a whole paragraph on nostalgia and can’t even get a like from Rick :( 🤣f*ck him
@@joseguevara3269 OMG!! You made me laugh so loud 🤣🤣
@@Mr.LeaNT1 It was indeed!! 😁
I would sell that before the Wata bubble burst. It's coming!!
BS
@@CS-rk6fu it is bs, its arbitrary as fuck grading plastic wrap on a game. the bubble will burst.
This guy saw it coming
@@CS-rk6fu what happened?
Dam this guy saw it coming... the pandemic inflated a plethora of items (e.g., houses, cars, vtg games, pokemon) just to name a few.
When i hear her singing ninja turtles in her room I know I’m raising her right
Market Manipulation = Jim Halperin->Heritage Auction->Coin bubble->DenizKhan->WATA->Video Game bubble
You forgot the CGC comic long con game. Him and his heritage partner publicly owned 25% of NGC, parent of CGC.
RICK PLEASE!!!! Before deciding on what to do with your graded game watch: Exposing Fraud and Deception in the Retro Video Game Market!!! (UA-cam) I just saw it and my jaw dropped. Something big has got to happen soon.
Also RGT85 just posted about it!
Love the Old Games and toys takes me way back Thanks Man, I love sharing these things with my kids and they love the stories shared
#WATA is like "scamming ain't easy but somebody's gotta do it."
why are they scamming?
I’ve been excited to see this grade !
Ouch. Bad timing with the WATA/Heritage Auctions Scamming Scandal expose video by Karl Jobst. Bummer it wasn’t graded by VGA instead.
Thank you.
This guy: OMG a freaking 9.4 Wata!! Wow! $17K 🤩🤩
Karl Jobst: I’m about to end this man’s whole career…
Good. WATA graded games will come tumbling down to reality. KEK!
Yoooo let’s go!!! Hope you got a 9 or better!! 🙏🏽 🔥
Subscribed to your channel today when I was looking for new videos to watch. Really enjoyed the few that I watched.
@@Shaneathon yo thank you so much!! 🙏🏽
Finding these nostalgic items is almost like a time machine. It takes me back to great memories from my childhood. Thanks for the amazing content Rick!
Discovered your channel a few weeks ago from Seth Fowler. So much great nostalgia. Makes me wanna go out there and collect.
This economy is going to collapse come February 2022 so there is that to consider.....
Why?
@@DrLevelUp what you mean why; umm hello where have you been; everything is being done purposely and planned..!
@@slejandroaanchez2071 Can you provide documented proof of this?
@@slejandroaanchez2071 Still waiting on some credible proof. When you planning on coming through with that?
@@DrLevelUp Are you that naive and blind too see the truth..! Umm their is actually so much shit that you can look up or search; agenda 21 2030 is one thing you can search/look up
You do know by now that WATA and Heritage are connected and full of shit with their ratings and auctions, right?
in cahoots together. should all be jailed. maybe they will. FBI, IRS don't mess with them
My hands down favorite channel on UA-cam.I have never watched somebody’s channel as must as I do yours bro!I connect with it so much because I was born in 89 and I grew up with all this same stuff love it!Thanks for doing what you do keep it up peace!
Love the videos and all the 80s and 90s booty. I love it when you add clips of the shows and games, really stands out.
Every time I get off from work and get home just to sit back and watch your videos man, they really entertaining, informative, fun and nostalgic, this just made my day.
It makes me feel happy to watch your videos to remember my childhood, it is also fun to find things in thrift stores that remind me of my childhood.
So glad I ran into your account a little over a year ago. Best part is definitely the deep memories that are unraveled that I had no idea I had. The instant flashbacks of certain items in your background makes these videos for me lol
Everything else is just a plus!
Keep & preserve because memories is all we have after many years will pass.
Hey Retro Rick!!!! I love watching you find awesome old school video games that I played as a kid with my brothers. Hope you keep finding great deals and stuff!
What connects me so strongly to tje nostalgia is my kids. Introducing them to all the stuff I loved and seeing tjeir joy is awesome.
Have to say I'm honestly stoked that I discovered your channel! Great video. I love the nostalgia of the music in old games or TV shows when I happen to listen to them again it just brings back the most wonderful memories as a little kid
Thanks for all the memorys you have brought back to me myself. Congratulations on 10k!!
You have restored so many people’s youth, you’ve gotten myself and thousands of people reminiscing their childhood and keeping that young spirit alive, you’ve inspired so many to hold on to what’s most important. Your videos always make my day. Thank you.
Started watching when you began the 10 dollar game collection. The wife and I love the vids and are starting our own collection. Thanks for the motivation. Easy channel to watch.
New here but loving what I see. I absolutely love the 90s !! Loving your vibe energy and everything with this channel.
Love the channel! I started watching with the $10 game collection and went back and watched all your other videos! All the tips have helped me start up my own game collection! Keep up the awesome work!
Hey rick ive been watching since your early episodes before the $10 game collection .and like yourself ive found myself branching off from videogame collecting and into everything i find nostalgic from the late 80s to early 2000s.
I love your videos! I have been into thrifting vintage toys for the past 3 years too. I’m so glad I grew up in the 90’s!
Your channel reminds me of my childhood. My first hand held was Nintendo Game and Watch Donkey Kong double screen. I have a nice collection now myself to many to mention, so I love watching all the retro stuff as it makes me feel younger and I can relate so much to all of your content. Thanks Rick for such a great channel! :)
I’ll be honest - I’ve been following you on Instagram for ages now, but I’d never actually watched any of your videos. Damn, that is one slick video intro! I’ll definitely be watching more of your content in the future!
Ha no worries, hope you enjoy the content!

Nostalgia keeps me grounded. It reminds me of times of mystery and adventure. Everything was new. Everything was exciting. Growing up in the 90's was a great time and I will forever cherish everything video games, tv shows and movies that defined who I am today. Thanks for the great videos!
