Tips And Comments:
- Playing Technique: Played next to the neck pickup. Hard playing is necessary.
- Gear Sound: Lots of treble and mid for presence. Adding much bass is not recommended in order to maintain clarity for such a hard and fast playing
- About The Song: Lots of stamina needed mostly, not a hard song but you'll get tired in a while playing it. Being a fast song doesn't mean it has to be sloppy and random, beware of the 16th notes and the signature changes!

Just found your channel and it’s great. Was listening to all your covers and then I saw this Deicide cover which shocked me because I hadn’t seen anything this heavy on your page so far. One of the sickest songs to hear on bass is “A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat” by Cattle Decapitation. I’ve heard it’s not easy to play though so I’m not sure if that possible or not. Amazing channel.

Satan is like "bring the bass, Holmes" cause it's his favourite instrument. He uses four strings but six strings is Satan's preferred bass. It sounds low like the Satanic moo in Hell at the beginning of Dio Holy Diver.

Glenn Benton is an incredible bassist . Whom doesn't get the credit he deserves . My only guess is for the simple fact ( and I can say this cus I'm a life long METAL HEAD ) is a lot elitist snobs in Heavy Metal , Death Metal etc hate on bassist who use plectrums . As stupid as it sounds I've heard it for years . Whatever works . Slap , finger style , the pick and or a combination of all is fine . The sound is what matter and Benton is a tremendous player . Btw this is far one of the easiest Deicide basslines to play . That says it all . Check out the record LEGION !

I just LOVE this tuning! And Deicide sound. But yeah, Once Upon the Cross sounds like it would be downtuned more. It's just the guitar tone/sound that they produced on that album, that it seams this way. Its way wormer than usual. More "plumptious".
