    I recently bought a 2018 ATS & every time I drive it I’m blown away by the handling as well as the attention to detail. Prior to this I had a 2015 BMW 320i and while I liked it, I’d take the ATS any day. I know this is the last year for the ATS & just hope the upcoming CT4 lives up to this reputation. Kinda sad the ATS didn’t quite get the recognition it deserved. It’s truly a hidden gem.

      Congrats on your new ATS! I think it was a ground breaker and it made an impact... especially with opinion leaders in the industry. But consistent wins bring loyalty and that takes time. The incoming CT4, from what I've seen, looks awesome. I'm hopeful it will continue Cadillacs momentum of quality and performance.

      dude same, I've nailed a 2018 ATS RWD brand new! Love it! Such a joy to drive in Sport. I don't think I'll trade it for the CT4-V. Nope, I'll keep this one.

      Uber driver here in D.C. My customers were blown away with the 13 ATS handling as well, and couldn't believe how good the ATS was as well. Actually had a GW University student looking at the ATS pretty hard after driving him for a while.

    Highly underrated car. That 2.0 Turbo awd is powerful. Reminds me of what BMW used to be. I can’t believe I said that but it’s true. The newest ATS’s have a 8 speed.

    Excellent review! I'm sold. Loved the ATS 2.0T from the moment I first drove one. Your review says it all. Drove a rental ATS to Las Vegas and it was so much fun. Very comfy seats too. It is VERY stylish and low key at the same. time. Great lines on this design. Hoping it holds up reliably for years. Hate that Cadillac will be discontinuing them. I agree! Michael's review is BETTER than the mega reviewers who often just regurgitate the owners manual instead of discussing the car. I've owned a Supra Turbo and this ATS has more low end torque! Is it just me or ARE THESE some of the most comfortable seats you ever drove in? Great for long trips. Hope Michael does lots more reviews.

    I've owned 5 different Cadillacs. I'm a Cadi guy. Love them. But you're right, when it comes to this one. I have a 15 ATS right now. Have been doing my own maintenance on it. And I'll tell you, I'm learning something new seems like everyday about this one.
    Definitely appreciate your videos. Not much on or about this particular yr. and model cadi on the internet.
    Thanks🙏🏼

    That was very good! Motorweek and all those other car TV shows couldn't even begin to be as entertaining as you did on your Cadillac review. I see for the last few years they have been trying to do the same with Buick and trying to pull it out of that "I'm an old mans car" mind set. I really like the look of the new Buick, but it's still not as flashy as the Cadillac.

    I have a 2014 CTS AWD Luxury package, with the 2.0 turbo.
    I absolutely LOVE this car!! The ATS and CTS are extremely underrated.
    I now have 97k miles on it and it still runs and looks like brand new.
    These handle like they're on magnetic rails! Plenty of power and torque!
    The only "mod" I've done is replaced the LOUD, terrible handling, run flat tires it came with, to Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3 tires which made a big difference in both handling and road noise elimination.

    I put a 32gd sd card in my ats and loaded it up with music! My ats has the 10 speaker bose and it sounds good. The 15 speaker bose system in my sts sounds amazing! There are 3 subs in the sts. A 12 inch sub in the rear deck, 8 inch sub in each of the front doors. Then 3 on the dash 2 on each front seat, one in the center console under the rear hvac controls then 2 on each side of the 12 inch sub and one in each rear door. Best STOCK system I’ve ever heard. The after market system in my deville is better and is only 8 speakers 3 in dash one in each door and 15 inch sub in the trunk on 2500 watts. The sub in the rear deck has been removed to allow the giant sub to breath. All OEM speakers upgraded to after market.

    THIS review just reminded this Uber driver how good the 13 ATS awd 2.0l was. FUNNY how reviewer noted the Ats Is a better car than the CT4.

    • @sstressfl
      @sstressfl  3 роки тому +1

      I think the 2.0t ATS is a more sophisticated car. It's better looking. Very sporty, fast, yet quieter, more luxurious feeling. The CT4 that I drove was a V edition and it was very fun to drive and a solid car, but an obvious step down in the feeling of luxury. But I think it makes more sense when you consider the marketing of the new generation Cadillac that has replaced the ATS/CTS. They now have a more clear separation in features/performance vs price point.

    ATS4 2.0l 2015 luxury edition. 95 000km. In fact. The car actual Does apply the brakes automatically to maintain cruise speed. Also I installed an Afe Momentum GT cold air intake. since then it throws a code every week. ECM P015b. Lean to Rich. And at a red light it runs rough, like it wants to stall. And fuel consumption went up. I just re-installed the original CAI and no more rough idle at the red light. Probably has something to do with Where the Mass Air Flow is located on the aFe CAI. Wish I had a fix.

      I know about the brakes now. Pretty slick feature. There's a lot going on with the 2.0t. The engine design pushes the limits and I think it's unforgiving when things get out of line. Glad you got your smooth idle back. And thanks for the watching!

    Great review!. I love my 2015 ATS4 I really wish they didn't stop making it. It is great in the snow here in Canada. Its a very strong car also. I hit a huge pot hole and the rim bent but the tire was ok. I need a new rim though. I thought the strut tower was going to come up through the hood it was so hard. Nope, nothing!. had it inspected also. not a thing wrong. The attention to detail is quite amazing also!. Lighted foot wells and puddle lights under the front doors!. Automatic rear windows down in the back seat!! Really?. wow. Just wish the back seats went down is my only gripe.

      If performance has dropped off I suspect you need a detailed inspection of your systems. I’d look at a full tune up. Fuel system. Check those valves. Compression check. Turbo health. Make sure it’s perfect 👌 before applying any performance mods.

Smooth acceleration. No weird noises. No fluid problems. No aftermarket parts, like a cai, or exhaust, etc. K&N air filter a-ok. But walk away if you think it has been modded. • @sstressfl
      @sstressfl  3 роки тому

      Gas mileage is a good indicator of a problem but it can also be long idling during winter warmups, fast acceleration of course... but with normal driving this car will do mid 20s day to day and jump into the 30s on the hwy. you can reset your mpg to see if it gets better. When mine dropped to lower 20s I later discovered I had rear brake calipers that were failing and dragging. Once I fixed them my mpg jumped right back up to normal. Then later I had a vacuum leak and my engine was running rich to compensate. Anything that causes rolling resistance or poor engine operation can effect your fuel mileage. Even a dirty air filter 👍

    The 2.5 should have never been offered, all cars should have fog lights and the vertical led light blades. I hate the base and how it looks without it. Also 18’s should be standard too. The 17’s are just trash. Cadillac really needs to separate from GM. Stop selling Chevy bolts and Buicks and Cadillacs side by side. Cadillacs should have there own dealership where that’s what they sell and only that. Gm is killing Cadillac and I’m worried about their future… I’ll keep my 4 on the road as long as I can afford to and am alive. Then I’ll pass them down to my kids.
