    The famous "Did you do any surfing while you were there?" question. Dennis Wilson, an actual surfer who was very good, chimes in to save the day.

      What amazes me is that he outlived his brothers. To lose a brother has devastating effects, much less 2 brothers who defended each other to the end.

    I grew up watching Dick Clark in the 50's and 60's. I remember seeing a practical joke played on him..after a 1 hour interview they told him the camera man forget to put film in the camera so the interview would have to be done again....knowing he was a busy man I thought Clark was going to blow up and get angry but he just kind of laughed and said oh no! He didn't get upset. Dick Clark had some real class.

    Dick Clark and American Bandstand was a big deal back then. I would imagine that they were all a little nervous. All the boys were so young. Brian was just being unassuming and shy about his leadership and musical genius just as he always has been. It's called being polite and courteous. And, yes, Brian was the biggest one...in height and talent!

Al got so disgusted that he quit, David Marks replaced him and was in the Group when they signed to Capitol. Brian and his Father decided to bring Al back which made him very happy and David Marks quit. In the 1980's he Made $300.000 Per Year since he recorded on the First Album. For several Years Al was an Employee and not an actual group member.

He left the band in 1963 and started his own group called David and the Marksmen. He eventually rejoined the Beach Boys in the late 1990's and has been touring & recording with them on-n-off ever since. A solid Musician in his own right.

      Mike wrote a lot of words that young teen age people would like. Words are a significant contribution to a song. Mike is the spokesman on stage. He is a deligent performer. He comes up the set list. As they age, he is getting young performers who can fill in with an energetic, beautiful, young voice. Good job to Mike and loyal bandmate, Bruce.

      Mike love gets a bad rap over the decades. I don’t know if it’s deserved or not. He was about money but that not all bad. He was creative and hard working for that. They all ended up suing each other for everything imaginable.

      ralphsrec yea but look at Love's body language after Clark said, "he's the biggest one that's all there is to it", regarding Brian. Love is a PRICK and always will be. Brian was the Beach Boys, period. Mike didn't do shit!! Oh sorry, Kokomo, that's it.

      +thenaturallyinsane1 The naturally insane 1, so you're criticizing me for referring to Mike Love as a Prick, then denouncing myself and others for using harsh words to describe him, while calling me an "asswipe" at the same time? It's just my humble opinion regarding Mr. Love, that's all. I'm sorry you feel this makes me an "asswipe" the naturally insane 1. I really hope I don't lose sleep over this now. Thanks for setting me straight the naturally insane 1.

      Jonathan King What? Everyone gets writing credits for lyrics. Like Mike Love or not, if he helped cowrite songs, his name deserved to be alongside Wilson. This was the case with Lennon and McCartney.

    • @jonathanking8800
      @jonathanking8800 7 років тому +1

      No, literally no one demands writing credits for lyrics. Lennon and McCartney actually wrote the songs, not just the lyrics. In fact, many of their songs had some lyrics written by Harrison and he didn't get writing credits on those songs, nor should he.
