- 4000km young, DR 177 pnp tuning with cosa clutch since km500.
major defects after only 4000km:
1) crap crank
2) gearbox oil sucker due to loose engine bolts
3) only washers at the engine bolts
4) gear tolerance 0,6mm
5) defect cruciform due to that
6) original piaggio linings & clutch plates
after 3500km, with only DR177 pnp power of 10hp already dead (...)
7) cylinderhead leaking = false air
8) stator shaft seal not fuel resistant? started dissolving itself, running downwards
9) clutch cover damaged
10) primary springs look already damaged after 4000km
damages of the clutch cover and cosa basket must be bungling after first exchanging the new clutch. the plate came of and damaged cover and basket
due to that the plate wasnt removeable, thats the reason why i had to open the clutch when it still was in the engine
typical error: if u use a 125ccm oilpump for 20mm carbs, what will happen if u use a 24mm carb? exactly, the carb slide wont open 100% as there are 4mm more to be opened. so better remove the oilpump totally.
new setup:
DR 186
timings & exhaust port optimized
intake at the opened
boyesen reeds
mazzucchelli full circle 60mm longstroke crank
65/23 transmission
original cosa strengthened with honda linings
all indian bearings will be exchanged as well
but the si24 will be kept
but lifted 10mm to be setable again
original level it is not setable as it is too near to the reeds --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another great video. That's just like my Stella, one big oil leak, I was under the impression the LML engines where of the same quality as Piaggio, I guess not, that bent crank was a real eye opener.
cranks are sh.. cases are better than piaggio. which are terrible since 2001.
Bestätigung für 11,59 cm Durchmesser für Cosa Kupplungskorb. Bei dem Bauteil handelt es sich um eine originale Cosa Kupplung. Baujahr unbekannt. Wurde 2001 gekauft bei einem Piaggio Händler. Foto wird nachgereicht.
mess nur selten da eher cnc korb verwendet wird. das hier ist vermutlich eine nachbau kupplung (aufgrund des horrenden preis einer "originalen" cosa kulu) eingebaut beim umrüsten auf 177er zyl
Do you remember which kind of seals are installed on it? The brown or the blue one's? Could I replaced it with Corteco? Thanx in advance
sure: always cortecco metal brown lip with seat without groove and with groove corecco blue
nothing else needed. these are the best seals.
İs lml 200cc 4 t (not 2t) is good bike? Ara there Same issues ? Like crank case and crank balllance?

timing out closer to A than the 125 IT mark................is it standard 125?

what do you mean? ah, btw, if its a lml, the cranks get stuck after some time, due to bottom conrod bearing (and twisted cheeks due to too low presfit)

Hallo, wie kann ich den SI Vergaser bei der LML um 10mm erhöhen?
10mm spacer basteln, sip hat zb einen mmw spacer fuer ansaugstutzen, den kann man umstricken
@@FreakMoPed8 Danke für die Antwort :) Ich habe mir nun eine 10mm Alu-platte bestellt und werde mir selber einen Spacer fräsen für meine LML. Soll ich diesen am besten unterhalb des Membranblocks einsetzen. Sind die SI-Vergaser-Langmuttern dann noch genug lang um alles anzuziehen mit den Stehbolzen (genug Gewindegänge?).
schau auf meiner fb seite nach dem album "LML star 125:2015 goes DR 186 FMPimped" da siehst wie mans machen kann. nein du musst mit M7 gewindestangl selber was basteln. vergaserwannendeckel hinten im eck musst etwas wegschneiden damit der noch passt
mista FreakMoPed Danke für deine Antwort. Habe nun auf fb geschaut, genau so hab ichs mir auch vorgestellt, tolle Arbeit! Würdest du den Spacer in jedem Fall verbauen oder nur in bestimmten Fällen. Hat der Spacer die von dir gewünschte Wirkung erzielt? Und was meinst du genau, das der Si-Vergaser dann wieder einstellbar ist?
bei nur pnp und einfachem tuning nein, bei feintuning wo einlass aufgemacht wird, steuerzeiten eingestellt und auslass aufgerissen wird ja, jedenfalls. & ja, hat besserung gebracht. der SI kompromiss krüppel gaser ist aber grundlegend der falsche vergaser für membran, da gehört was anständiges drauf.

@@FreakMoPed8 I mean when the engine soft seize and if we pull in the clutch and choke and give gas.. will that be advisable or will this method cause any harm to engine!?Or should we wait until the engine cool down?
No real damage no, i mean seizing is not good at all, but with the clutch pull choke trick you prevent the piston form getting stuck completelly
