I was thinking Mormon
Your typical modern day Christian
That reminds me of Father Michael, the dude loves mass and drinking at the bar. The guy wore a dress and put on makeup for his sermon one day....and acted like I was crazy when I asked if he was okay. He always gets done with mass and goes outside to smoke; fact.
Don’t for get about fish fry’s during lent.
This is like the release of a new series on Netflix or Amazon! So many episodes to watch! My productivity has gone out the window!
LMAO!! same here! what grass to cut
Yup i found this channel when i was diagnosing my dodge ram. with the leak down testing. ever since then i been watching ! plus close to me. Like hour away if that LOL.

Always makes my day when Eric o is working on a Chevy and test drives it and does the yell CHEVY THUNDER!!!
Wow, Eric! I passed on an uninspected trade in for an unbelievable price about six weeks ago-15 GMC Acadia/EXACT symptoms as that. Man, if I had a Delorean, I’d go back in time, buy it, fix it, and drive around with a huge 💩 eating grin on my face. Cuz if you just did it, I could a done it if I knew how minor the problem was! Next time…Thanks for bringing us along again, you are truly a blessing to all of us out here in cheap guy diy land!!😂
I want to see the Subaru frame! For you to say it's the worst ever, it has to be something to see!
Mr O:"C'mere Luna. C'mon." Luna:"Nope"
Luna knew that the car didn't need a CAT scan.
Man, you are really getting your money's worth with that Icon T10 scanner, and it didn't cost you a dime.
Yup...harbor freight really pushing their scan tool. I saw it on a few other channels.
It’s convincing me I like it as a dealer tech
That traction control noise.... reminds me of the ship propulsion for the Russian submarine in "The Hunt for Red October" =) I appreciate all the new content Eric!

Hey! Catholic here! I resemble that remark!!! At least we Catholic are happy drunks, unlike the Lutherans!
Or Mormons lol
@@carlosnavarro921 I was BOTH as a kid Lol, I'm happy when drunk!
Good job! The Lisle hub remover works slicker than snot!
Im a mobile mechanic in Louisville Ky. Thank God they stopped those nonsense inspections 25 years ago...i'd go crazy working on cars if we had them. Thanks Eric.
Church on Sunday, the bar on Friday must be Catholic lol😂
Gm has got to change how the abs works. This happened to my wife in the exact same vehicle and she was on the highway and all of the sudden the car slowed right down with all the same lights flashing just because of a stupid wheel piece of magnet missing from the wheel bearing. They need to have it go back to regular brakes if this happens. It is a huge accident waiting to happen!
GM ABS is the worst braking system I've ever encountered.
Excellent! That was one of the easiest wheel bearing jobs I've seen in your shop for some time.
I like that two speed lift you have, mine takes forever. Thanks Mr O, Another fine VJO
16:28 You did say that the with the PB Blaster it would just fall right out. I'm surprised you weren't ready. 😆
I'm getting my 24 min vocational training sitting on my couch. Thank you so much for these videos!!! Backyard mechanic
Here in Phoenix no need for Big Shot Blaster or puller theirs no rust here its all easy peasy. I still go to church on Sunday and the bar on Friday in the XT5.
First off, I have to give this customer props for his sense of humor, communication, and ability to gauge his knowledge and abilities. Can we have more of this customer in the world, please?
Do not push on the caliper ear! I bent one on one of my cars once, and the brakes never wore evenly again. They are very very easy to deform, and impossible to put back where they should be. :(
As a former California inhabitant, I can confirm, this is what working on cars is like in California! They just unbolt and come apart.
My understanding of GM's strategy is that it will only completely disable ABS/Stabilitrak for an open circuit, short circuit, or completely missing wheel speed signal, but it has the ability to detect erratic signals like we saw here, and maintain functionality assuming it might not be erratic.
It is amazing what having the right tools can do to speed up the job like the flapper sander for the inside of the knuckle.
At the VW dealer, they describe "all the lights on the dash turned on" as "Christmas Tree" -- as in "it lights up like a Christmas Tree". It's happened twice now on my car -- both times wheel speed sensor. I'm waiting for the other two sensors to go bad at some point soon.
Hey there Eric! Chevy Thunder strikes again!!!
In 1872 Mark Twain was the second person to use shebang. He used it to mean vehicle. The first to use it was Walt Witman and used it during the Civil War to mean rustic dwelling or hut. This may be on Fridays quiz
I love that Lisle tool. Unfortunately, the very first time I used it, the threads got galled up even though I had them good and greased up. Still works but it's life has been shortened quite a bit.
That's Chevy quality right there... Less than 50K miles and it needs replacement Wheel-bearings / ABS parts. What a Toilet!
Yea its a POS
That's rough not even 50k miles and it's ready for the auction...good ole gm quality boyz!!!!
Not just GM, but just about all of 'em. Pretty sad they DON'T want to build them to last. Yea, yea, yea. It's all about profitability, right??😢😢
It's GM quality

An excellent vidja to watch whilst masticating a sammich, taking a break from replacing crumbling wiring loom in the too-full engine bay of my Roush Mustang.

Uh-oh there's hooves in the thumbnail.. Better call Nate! 😂
As a Chevy Traverse '16' owner, is this a Chevy or a New York issue. I live in MN and somehow feel lucky to have gotten back home from NC with out a problem. At 100k, It'd be good to have a list of items to replace to get 300 more out of these vehicles. Thank you for your honest service to the motoring public!
As the official bearing aficionado of this channel, that bearing sounding a little crunchy! It's not one of my bearings, that's for sure! Been a while since we got a bearing video!
Congrats Eric on the deal with Icon harbor freight.
No MIL also fails emissions inspection in PA. The counties bordering NYS are for the most part rural BFE & aren’t subject to emissions inspection.
Most shocking thing I've seen on your vids in a long time - not a PRNY based car so when you removed the hub bolts they still had the cad plating intact. I only remember seeing rusty threaded rods being removed on the stuff you usually work on.
Gravy! But I's gots to know what is it with the MIL. Won't sleep now.......😮
My car is hard starting, I told my wife I have a "long crank" issue... she laughed and said in a VERY patronizing tone, "yah sweetheart, of course you do" 😮
The Bar On Friday was for the Fish Fry. A very religious experience...
@16:22 The hazards of using too much PB Blaster. Jumped right out of the knuckle 😂
I appreciate that you showed us what the magnet looked like on the new one as well as the old one.
I am in garage putting new brakes on Honda Accord. While watching and listening to Eric O. Working on GM trash! This is retirement…..thanks SMA!
Boy Eric..... We almost got a three fer, and hit the jackpot on that video. We got the train whistle and we got the air raid siren..... All we were missing was the lawn mower guy, for a clean sweep! Lol I hate watching you..... You make everything you do look so dang easy it isn't funny. But you make it funny.... Here kitty kitty kitty! 😂 Great job... You as I always tell everyone, are the best mechanic east of Detroit! Why does it take me 4 hours to replace a wheel bearing? No it's not the beer either! I think it's because my garage isn't quite as organized as yours..... What happened to that dang 21 mil socket...I know I had one! Lol. Hey honey... Go to Menards and get me a 21 mil impact socket.... And could you bring me another beer before you go! Later guy. 👍🏁😉👏🇺🇸💯🏆
I was surprised it had a 1/2 tank of fuel in it. Rare.
Cat + Train + Storm Siren test...its a jam-packed video!
I watch your video's so much, I feel Comfortable in your Neighborhood seeing all the same houses, etc.. I Love small Towns...
That was a great diag, the Icon diag tablet seems to be feature rich for the money Thanks for taking us along.
And when you have the knowledge, the fix comes easy. Another good fix.
Just what we needed to see. 2014 Traverse same issues. Eric for the win
The last time I came across a dead MIL it was a piece of electrical tape over the LED.
Beautiful day in Avoca!
Another great episode with not the usual ending. I’m sure Mama will be happy.
Train horn and the lunch bell in the same video! Just needed lawn mower man to complete the SMA trifecta.
Look at you getting all torque-y! I'm amazed that a relatively isolated component would cause the engine to run so poorly. Nice job!
You know what, that would fail a PA test as well lol. We are supposed to check the functionality of the check engine light and make sure it actually works.
Check engine light falls under PA Emission inspection only and is not part of PA Safety inspection. If you live in a PA country that does not require PA Emission inspection (i.e.: not around or in Philly or Pittsburgh), the check engine light does not apply. It is not part of PA Safety inspection.
I have to say. it never gets boring and there's always a happy ending. Love it! 😎
Educational and humorous as always. You had every noise but the lawn mower this video...lol.
Incase you didn't know why, when Eric said it's always the right side that goes first... because this is New York, and with winter comes salting of roads. The salt accumulates on the gutter (right) side and rots out that side first.
"I bring it back home and said now it's a job for SMA. Now it's your problem...have a good day"
It really sucks that they build these things in a way requiring you to purchase, remove & install an entire wheel bearing just to fix the magnet problem.
What about making the magnet a two piece snap-in part that you can easily change out? Nope...that won't let them sell high priced parts that you don't need.
Hope we get to see the Subaru undercarriage carnage in an upcoming video soon :)
Texas eliminated their safety inspection effective 1/1/25. But, the fee is still required! Renamed Safety Elimination Fee.
Not the whole state
All of the major cities still require the safety smog crap 💩
Pfft

Hmmm...a salvage title with a 'burnt out" check engine light? Just a coincidence I'm sure! 🤣
No trifecta😢 fire house..yes, train horn...yes, no lawn mower guy😮
I had a 2012 Malibu for 11 years, the wonderful WNY weather put a beating on both of my front bearings in less than 90k miles. The front left one had to be replaced twice.
This channel is poppin!
Here in PA we're required to have a MIL KOEO and not on while running. It's one of the things our lovely PennDOT undercover auditors like to catch us with.
I should add that it's only for Emissions counties, under a certain population you can pollute all you want! 🤣
I appreciate a thorough explanation as much as the next guy, but I thought for a while there that Eric was branching out into audiobooks.
back to a classic south main auto video's i like it , meat and potato's right here folks , hate the lug nuts with skins on them from gm like the ones on this ride ...
RIP Bambi 🦌
Wow a GM product that didn't have an evap code
Ha. It was probably already repaired. My 2015 Impala had it years ago. replaced the valve on the engine. All good.
20:47 Sounds like the siren on a submarine warning everyone the ship is about to dive.
Love these 2 per day!
There's 2 more
Nice job on those hubs. I just rattled two of them off on my auction win 07 Nissan Altima with the air hammer and some prying. I like that tool.
I've had lots of explorers and related that have the aluminum knuckles and the last 3 I've done have pulled the hub out of the bearing. So I've started pulling the knuckles and quoting them with the bearing! Why cuz I found the fracture force of the knuckles is 15 tons in the shop press! Bearing didn't budge!
Gotta love those Chevy Reverse!😂
That's kind of similar to what was wrong with my Chevrolet. I had a bad wheel bearing and I believe it caused my ST, ABS, etc. to lose comms to the transmission or throttle sensor, the car revved up to redline on its own and hesitated to calm down, spitting Chevy Thunder all over the road. I probably shouldn't have ignored a bad bearing but I needed some funds to have it repaired.
KOEO in PA, if the bulb doesn’t come on, it fails emissions if you live in a county that requires it
Great video as always.
Love, ove, ove bearing replacement videos! So good.
Train horn AND fire alarm in one video?!
We are not worthy of the two-fold sound off.
Detective O. Finds it was Colonel Mustard, in the front right with the speed sensor.
I was riding in a truck with my step-father (never liked that guy) when the u-haul trailer he hooked up passed us on the left while going down the freeway.. I dont remember that making as much noise as that traverse does :)
Gee.. the siren ... I thought was the beginning of riding the storm out by REO
Oh yah!!! That or dance party signal 😂
Nice repair, and super video! Thanks
Again amazing. Experience shows.
FYI, MIL on is an automatic fail in PA too!
I just realized something, Eric didn't said not sponsored when pulled out the icon T10. 🤔🤔🤔
😂😂😂😅
Its your problem now!!! Hahaha 😂😂
I think Mrs O should film while you drive. Safety third. ❤
What kind of ending was that? No Insty? No facebook? No thanks for watching???????? 🥺
We sure would enjoy seeing your work on the rusted Subaru subframe, please please!
if they live in a county in PA without emissions inspection they are supposed to check for the Mil on with key on for state inspection
Saturday open day bow hunting Texas 😊
Oct 1 for us :)
@@SouthMainAuto good luck 👍🏻
Whenever traction control and stability light comes on the Traverse, Acadia or Enclave it’s always a bad wheel bearing. Got a couple in the family and so far replaced 16 bearings (for 4 vehicles)
And cool I just realized where you are located. I was stationed in Seneca Army Depot, Romulus NY. I had a friend that lived in Bath and dated a chick from Painted Post.
Geez, Eric - grease up those Lisle threads!
Your Snap-On man kicked the bucket hugh. Harbor Who??? lol I hope I'm wrong lol
