It's kinda funny seeing a Swede fall in love with American aircraft and this American is in love with Swedish Saab aircraft.
If you want to see an American bomber built in the 60's that was too advanced for it's own good, watch a documentary on the XB-70 Valkyrie. (Mega Projects w/ Simon Whistler is a good video to watch about it).

We use to go out to Dyess AFB a couple times a year and I have been told by BONE pilots that the Lancer has better performance at low level then an F-16. The important part is having the wings in the right configuration.

Great video! I'm glad they're keeping the B-1 around for a while. I think she's still a very useful aircraft.

As a pre teen, I so vividly remember airforce jets going over head, near Tinker AIRFORCE base, in Oklahoma City. Our house would vibrate, windows rattled, & I could feel all that power in my chest!! I thought it was AWESOME. There were B1 Bombers, C5 Galaxies, B 52s, ectra.

this isn't about the B1, but I've only ever seen a B2 in real life once and that was the day after September 11th. i live in between Baltimore and Philadelphia which is a very high traffic area for commercial and military planes, especially since i live next to a proving ground. on top of the fact i live next to I95 which is the main interstate running up and down the east coast, planes also use it as a sort of landmark as well. all these things combined are the reasons i even got to see the B2 fly over my house that day, i will never forget it.

Check out The Fat Electrician’s video on the B1 bomber, its original nickname is the BONE for B1. One of the proposed upgrades would have skipped a few letters to call it the B-1R, so we almost had the BONER.

America is at least 50 Years ahead of anyone. Many 70s and 80s planes are still flying and Dominating the skies. Innovation and Technology resources and industrial might and most important location. And 100 percent Dominance of the sea and skies. Scary as Hell. F around and find out.

Also, he’s a bit off on payloads, each plane can carry more than we said, from other, publicly announced sources. And the B-1 can carry up to, around 125,000lbs of ordinance, depending on type/volume of the choosen weapons.

Seen a video about future air combat where a stealthy B1 bomber was used as a missile truck where a group of AMRAM missiles are carried internally and launched one at a time from the bombbay.

The F-35 caries 4-8 of the same "towable decoys" internally on the right hand side ,underneath, just behind the landing gear.....another thing the F-35 has to defeat threats no one talks about and why it's better than every other option out there.

There is a munition that springs sword blades out upon entering a room. The object is to reduce collateral damage caused by explosions. The missile can be placed within 10 inches of the target individual who exsanguinates due to dismemberment , decapitation, or possibly bisection. People in the next room are unharmed. We've gotten at least one this way without collateral damage.
Yeah, the Air Force knifed a guy from 40,000 ft.

The Russian counter parts are pieces of crap, backward engineered. Cheaply made and like cheap products work once (maybe) then need severe maintenance or are easily shot down with nothing like the ability of what they are copying. Especially the engines, if they fly too fast for too long, the engines are useless and require changing out for new engines after few missions.

The B1 is better than ANY other bomber in any air force in the world (excepting other US bombers) and is 40 years old. What does that tell you about US tech vs. the rest of the world?
