when I was 14(just turned 46) my mom got a new shift at her job working the over night shift. So my ass is home alone. Landlord comes into the house around 12:30 one night. I wore out an aluminum baseball bat on his ass , then at gun point held him there until the cops and ambulance could get there. I came home from work one day and had a feeling someone had been in my apartment. A few days later, I had the day off from work and I woke up to keys opening my front door ( I lived alone) and voices and it was the landlord with the cable guy ( not Larry ) I told them to get out or I would call the cops. @@nicoblaytherealflamingo445 sounds like you need to find a civil rights lawyer & move out of where ever you are renting a room. By law, no children should be in your room if your on the registry. Also, being blackmailed or forced into sex acts on camera is a crime in itself. The hard part is, your on the sex offenders registry so many people don't want nothing to do with you or they want to make your life more hell. First, I'd go to a lawyer. If the police are giving you a hard time too, it's pointless to go to them unless you go to the state police.

This is why I change the locks wherever I am renting from, my first apartment was robbed when I went away for a weekend by the property managers son, who lived downstairs. I knew it was him because he left this old baseball cap in my apt that I saw him wear multiple of times. Only thing when I reported it, the son denied he owned that cap or that he broke in and his father stated they had no copy of keys, I had no proof. But neighbors I have talked to stated that the manager does keep copies of keys and his son is always skulking around the hallway in the building and is suspected of doing this number of times. I was a new tenant and had no idea of this issue. The cops figured it must be someone I know who I gave a key to. I moved out after the first year lease was thru, I never felt comfortable their again and was always afraid to go to work or sleep their alone, even though I had locks changed. Never give keys to Supers or neighbors who are "overly" helpful like volunteering to walk your dog or water your plants etc. I only ask friends and family if I need that help.
He is looking for something to steal, or worse. It’s a good idea to change the locks if you buy a house, too. You have no idea who holds a key to your place. Could be anybody; maid’s boyfriend etc. brrr gives me chills.
Me too. I don't care what the lease say. And if they need to come for maintenance, I must be home. But I pray to God, that this is my last year renting.
I asked my best friend to keep an eye on my house. I had been having trouble with the neighbor's son who lived behind me. Including breaking my large window. I had to give my friend my house key, to be able to get to the backyard to keep an eye on things. She ended up calling in sick from work, boozing it up, sleeping in my bed, eating my food, gooing up my furniture & cd's. Had my son check on my house while I was still gone, & caught her naked from the waist down, in my bed, 💩 faced. Cops came, my son got my key back, made her leave, & she was later arrested at her son's house the same day. Don't even give your best friend a key. Never.

You should show the other tenants particularly the ones with dogs so they can try and catch her as well and give her more charges. Even if she isn't going in other condos (which I HIGHLY doubt she isn't) I'm sure the neighbors will feel unsafe and therefore the collective of you can probably get her fired with a big enough stink. Also so newer tennents can be aware not to trust her. That poor maintenance guy should sue her as well. Can you notify him of the truth? I'm sure he'd appreciate knowing his name is cleared in the least. They should hire him back and give him her job!

It's illegal to change the locks where I am at. It is the property manager who is the only one authorized to change locks or make key copies. If I change the locks then I will be evicted and sued and have criminal charges even if they are not a felony I would still have to deal with court and fines and probation along with losing my home. Sad part is they definitely just let themselves in without notice and no care for COVID.
i know you didn’t get your story taken up by any big news stations before, but i’m seeing this video now in 2022. im from kansas. i hope more people will see what happened to you, what you had to go through, and will see this woman for who she is. i wish she got punished more. i know someone who has time and time again been arrested and let out quickly, escaped many charges. and he’s very violent and unstable. it makes no sense how these things can happen. they really need to start holding people accountable for what they do.

These landlords we have here in New Germany are the worst of the worst. After it happened to me a few times I realized I was not paranoid and changed the locks. If you're a business owner you can't trust the township workers either.
I had a landlord who I caught going through my apartment on camera. My camera was on an Ipad that I hid in such a way, that you would have to REALLY look for it, and you'd have to pick it up, to see if it was recording you. She managed to find it. She thought that she deleted the videos, but what she didn't know is that i had saved them all on my phone and my laptop. She went through my underwear drawer and everything

Oh GOD!!! I'm so glad I saw this!! I JUST found out a ring I ordered off of Amazon was signed for by my OLD apartment Manager Paula Kingery at Walter Sellers in Xenia, Ohio. She has a history of theft! The funny thing is she SIGNED her name...I will be going there with the police to see what she has to say for herself and get my ring. She KNOWS I moved out May 19. Why in the hell would she sign for a package? She did the same things. I suffer from anxiety, Bipolar I & depression. The anxiety from having to walk past her ugly one eyed face everyday was too much!!! I'm SOOOOO glad I am away from her!!! YES, I'm paying almost double but my mental health is priceless.
She was arrested and bailed out right away. They kept changing the court date, which I had absolutely EVERY intention of attending. I spoke to the prosecutor, wrote letters, had witness statements, and all. When the actual date came I never received a call or letter notifying me of the date so I missed it. I died with a lawyer working pro bono as I don't have much money. I have not heard anything in over a year. Thank you all so much for the comments and I am sorry I am just seeing them all now.
What did the local news say? Did they investigate the property's ethics--of letting the person still work there? Did they grill the prosecutor? Surely that video footage is gold!
dariusdise No news/internet/tv platforms ever got back to me. I was stalking the prosecutor for the first few months and he seemed to be on my side and understand that I just didn't want her to walk away with out punishment since she has done this to many before. Sadly none of them had proof and just moved or changed locks. She kept postponing the court date and I kept taking off work and rescheduling things to make these dates that kept being cancelled. About 6 months later I realized I had not heard or received any new court dates. When I called I had missed the date by 2 weeks. 😡😡😡 She walked with 6 months probation. 🤦♀️😡😡😡
My landlord stopped by whenever he felt like it...no warning. Was all over the house. Was touching my toothbrush/razors etc. Going thru my mail ! Social Security stuff. Had a friend with a creepy landlord. She said she would come home and feel like someone had been in her house. So she checked the windows and found some unlocked. Now I check my windows all the time.
Did anyone else notice she looked in all of the places people hide money? At one point she looks into her hand, and I believe she was looking at change she took from the back room.
I recently had an illegal entry by my landlord while I was at work. I have a door sensor that notifies me via internet whenever my door is opened. I immediately checked my webcam and observed a strange man present in my unit. I called the building management and they apologized and said I didn't have to call the police. I've decided to change my locks.
Thank you for posting this! It's distressing that there are so many shameless, creepy, and dishonest people that are "working hard" every day to steal from other people than to do an honest day of work themselves!

This is why I always change the locks. Not just nosy landlords, but I once came home and found the last tenant doing this crap. Cops took her for a psych evaluation.
That is one lazy prosecutor or they’ve been paid off or she could even be related. B&E’s in most states are considered felony’s, add stealing on top and probation shouldn’t even be discussed. I’d find out if this is considered a felony in your state and if it is make sure you go to her court appearance(s) with an Atty.
My husband and I got our first apartment back in Dec 2012. We were newly engaged and moving out for the first time! He worked an odd shift at McDonald's, and I worked mornings at a close by daycare. One particular morning I recall the maintenance woman saying I'll be doing an inspection on your apartment. When I got home everything seemed normal. Fast forward to the 2nd month I started to notice weird stuff going on. When we would leave and come back home there would be a cup on the coffee table and little Debbie wrappers. Sure enough I checked the pantry and someone had been helping themselves to our snacks! So I decided to screw with them because now it was personal. I made a pan of delicious brownies but... I added Exlax to the brownie mix. The next day my landlord and maintenance woman said they needed to check all the apartments. I planted the lovely brownies on the counter. I left for work and the very next day my landlord told me they had a stomach bug or something because they had a very upset stomach. I said are you the one eating my baked goods? Lol
Several years ago, I kept getting the feeling that my apartment had been entered, however, no real signs of theft. I would come home, and furniture was moved, personal items were moved. I complained to some friends, who treated me like I was crazy. I had three dogs- it wasn't until my dogs were hurt, that it became real to others. It cost several thousand dollars at the vet (which was my savings), and I insisted on making a police report and having the landlord change my lock and secure my door. However, the police did nothing, saying that I needed to get "out of town"???? And the landlord told people that I was delusional... ( I am a disabled person- although my physical disability is not initially obvious. It was the beginning of a stalking ( by my landlord and his pals) that has continued. Long story, but it turns out that he gave the keys of my apartment to his pals to make me think that I was crazy.
Since she continues to get away with it it wasn't that thrilling - but I really thought it was going to be or I would at the least be the last one she does this to. So sad
In the past I've rented & the last Apartment we rented from Before we moved out, I cleaned it top to bottom & I still had a feeling the landlord was going to try & pull some shit with keeping the security dep. because we lived there 6 yrs & she said we were responsible for repainting just because we lived there. No damage, just needed to be refreshed. So I video taped the whole apartment the day we moved out. The clean, polished hard wood floors, I cleaned inside kitchen cabinets , oven, fridge, everything! I even bought a new shower curtain & she didn't know I taped it. The next day she refused to return deposit saying floors were all starched up & Iwe had left apartment dirty & appliances broken. We brought her to court & she lied up & down to the judge , she had put scratches in her floors & walls, dirtier up the apartment, appliances &when it was our turn we gave him the tape & played it in open court & she was BUSTED! She had to pay us 3X deposit & our attorney fees! As for this Bitch in the video.. I would have filled that freezer with the biggest bag of my SHIT & when she opened the door made it so would explode right in her fucking cunty nosy face! If she was doing this to you damn sure she was doing it to other tenets as well! I would check into that!
This happened to a friend of mind, her deposit was $1,200. After year, she didn’t renew the least, I helped her clean, which was a breeze, no dirt or damages etc. I taped the apt as a joke and held up a news paper with that same date (like the old days). Sure enough, the landlord lied and said she left the place dirty, roach infested, dirty carpet etc. She was able to use my video in court and won.
Landlords are suppose to give you notice when entering your home. I would have called the cops and would have taken legal action against him. What a CREEP!
I'm so glad that the property owner where I live has audio and video cameras in the parking lot that covers each tenant's front door. She also has her own maintenance man living in one of the apartments that we go to directly to if we have a maintenance issue. The property management company does inspections every 3 months but they have to give a 48 hour notice and cannot enter a tenants apartment without the live-in maintenance man with him if the tenant is not home and only can enter the apartments with the maintenance man with a signed okay from each tenant if they're not home. If the tenant is out of town then the tenant is allowed to designate a friend to be there for the inspection. Are live in maintenance man is also the living security for this property. Anything out of protocol like entering attendance apartment without 48 hours notice unless it's an emergency is a big no no with the property owner.
I'm very sorry for what had happened to you & it still AMAZES me to see this is a very serious problem for any renter to trust anyone in these days; I pray for you & hopefully the ( DIRT BAG ) goes to jail for @ least two years max or even receives probation for the next 10 years Anastasia Braucht.
My landlord had entered my room several times during my absence and stolen items that he thinks I can not notice stealing, items such as bulk batteries, cleaning and food items and the like. It is weird how landlords at times steal little items when they have plenty of money and a house. He later told me that he lost the master key chain, to give me impression that he is no longer able to enter my room during my absence. I also noticed that creeps into my bedroom in the middle of night when I am sleeping - I knew that after I suspected that and I placed motion detector to notify me when someone is approaching the room. It beeped many times in the night during my sleep and made him run away. So he thought to steal items from the room while I am sleeping - he has a habit to wake up all night long and sleep in the morning and I think he does that to collect items from everywhere while people are sleeping.
Wow 😵😵. I had a former landlady, in 2000, who did this... She entered my small apartment when i was sleeping one time, and when i was in hospital giving birth, and when i was moving, i was away in my new city. I planned to go back to get the rest of my things but she and her grown son had stolen a little tv i got from my mom. And sent away bags of my things to a charity shop. Even though i told her, leave these bags because im collecting them at such and such time. A favorite picture was also removed. I wish i had reported her and her son for theft. He took mom's tv for himself 😖😖

Been there. I was nursing my youngest son when she unlocked the door and came in. She had no excuse to why she was coming in at all. Wow on this dude. Violating you all in your stuff. I hope he was dismissed from his job after this.
Most leases require you to give a key to the landlord or lease if company. A security camera is your best bet and an attorney if they come i without prior notice and not for an obvious emergency.
I was told at my apartments that it was illegal for me to put cameras up. That right there should have been the red flag. I later filed against n the manager, and they found that she was embezzling. The fact that she was covering for others that were going on my home and stealing pisses me off. It's not illegal for you to have cameras. The whole, if they don't know they're being recorded is illegal is bs. Anyone who tells you that, is helping others do it. You have a right to protect your home in any way possible.
you should have an alarm system. or put soap on the floor in front of the door inside so she can slip and fall. but you gotta watch out for yourself not to fall. Im thinking of ways to stop her she sucks!
Apparently this is pretty common. I rented a beautiful home in Cowan Tennessee and lived there for about 6 months. One day a friend of the owner happened to bump into me at one of the little grocery stores there. He asked me if I knew that my landlord was coming in and out of my house collecting things like underwear pieces of jewelry and things like that and I told him no I had no idea. I did the same thing you did I planted some money not a lot like $12 and sure enough it was gone we didn't have cameras back then so there was no way for me to prove it that way. All I could do is find a new place to move to and move out. It's really sad when we put our trust into the people who are supposed to be looking out for us as landlords or managers and they turn out to be crooks themselves.
My daughter rents and this is why she has two police dogs that stay at home while she is at work and she had the locks changed and saved the old ones to put back in when she moves out. Plus she has cameras within the rental. I had someone break into my truck before my son was born... Makes something you own feel like it's not yours and disgusting to be in, like that I'm being watched type of feeling: ( I'm sorry you had to go through this.
An ex landlord of mine who lived right next door to me, used to come in my house when I wasn't home as well. He even went through my underwear drawer one time. I had a friend come over from a different state one night and she brought her husband. We left in my car to go to the store and I guess my landlord assumed that no one was at the house but her husband had stayed behind. He called me not even a minute after we got down the road and said a man just walked by me and didn't see me in the living room he is going through your bedroom. I whipped around and caught my landlord in my bedroom in my underwear drawer LOL. What's crazy is when we first moved in and his wife told us not to think he was peeking in the windows if I saw him close to my windows that he would just be doing yard work and another tenant had thought he was looking in the windows. Now I realize that she knew the kind of stuff he done and was trying to cover for him. Absolutely disgusting man.
So freaking disgusting, he/she looks so creepy. I wish I would have done this in the past (put a hidden surveillance camera) up to catch a previous landlord that I suspected of coming in my apartment without permission in my absence. Glad you caught the person
This happened to me once when i was home and i was sleeping taking a short nap but my wife and i made it appeared that we wasnt home at the time and my landlord ellen brewer from Alamo Texas broke in my house numerous of times and things was coming up missing and i was woundering why my tbings was coming up missing so my wife and i made a plan to have me stay home and find out who is been breaking our home while we was gone and sure enough she was caught red handed
I'm going through the same thing. But my landlord hacked my camera and deleted my video of me recording my apartment. And even came home and found my computer unplugged.
I have several wedding presents stolen by a property manager, while I was on honeymoon, including what my Grandma had sent, some irreplaceable antique candlesticks. Couldn't prove anything. Change locks always.
I don’t know why all the crimes are being downgraded. A cop told me that drugs were brought into a local hospital by a boyfriend of a patient. But it wasn’t enough drugs to be charged with anything and that even if it was, the boyfriend would be processed And out of jail before the nurse who called was off duty. Chilling.
I had a landlord like this years ago. He let himself in more than once & when I was sleeping. I had the chain latched and it stopped the door from opening up. I jumped up fast tho and confronted him. He never did it again as far as I knew. Tenants rights should be a big issue. Typically judges side w the property owners. Its tough to get justice w this kind if thing

A lot of places don't allow you to change locks. It is in my lease that I can't change the locks, or add new locks.
Not everybody who offers to help someone is not trying to hurt somebody or steal from them
I asked my best friend to keep an eye on my house.

Anastasia Braucht start a crowd fund
Anastasia Braucht really? The justice system fails the innocent every time!
sonyaethaniel right????? But if I would hit her like I would have loved to I’d be locked up!!!!
THIS CAN'T BE A WOMAN????
LOL i was thinking the same😂😂😂
elaine male Old stud granny 👵🏽
The Most Known Unknown LMBO
tiptip7 You see that mess😂😭🤣
The Most Known Unknown Lol yes. Then got the nerve to be snooping through someone's apartment 🕵 lol
This happened to me and is still happening to others and they don’t even know it! 💯
Same woman? She has done it to many residents in Asbury Park!
My landlord stopped by whenever he felt like it...no warning. Was all over the house. Was touching my toothbrush/razors etc. Going thru my mail ! Social Security stuff. Handed me proof when he gave me printouts on why I should start collecting. Downloaded them on his computer and left them for me. WTF ??
This is just one reason I won't live in an apartment complex. Too many nut jobs, too close together.. It's bad enough when you rent a house from a nut job.
Silly billie Girl wow, you need to chill...you just used a lot of words to say nothing that makes sense or has to do with the comment you are responding to.
Hermione Gardener I have mostly lived in apartment complexes and I love the "neighborhood" feeling I get from them especially when living in a city. I won't let one over tanned sociopath of a woman ruin it for me. As for the crazy comment below - I am sorry - do you know that person?!?! That was a lot of words put together that I could not seem to make my way through. Either way don't let one bad apple ruin the bunch. 😳🙄😖😂😘
ACE PA- TRI-CIA Hine's-sight oh love. Thank you for the comment, but I cannot read that with out some punctuation.
She even enters the apartment like a burglar. I bet she does this to every tenant that rents from her.
She sure did!
I thought it was a man.
@Jill this video looked like a black man not a white woman. Glad somebody else was confused too!
Had a friend with a creepy landlord. She said she would come home and feel like someone had been in her house. So she checked the windows and found some unlocked. Now I check my windows all the time.
THAT was a woman???
YUCK.
The person does not even look like a woman
Did anyone else notice she looked in all of the places people hide money? At one point she looks into her hand, and I believe she was looking at change she took from the back room.
That was not a he it was a she
I think she found some prescription medication maybe. When she went down the hall I think it was the bathroom.
@@cherylcarnes4207 Not a she if you paid attention to the video.
Where's my rent money...not in this bag....I'll just get some food...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
DeathTrooper 🤣🤣🤣
WOW! That's ridiculous. What an invasion of privacy, I can only imagine how you felt. There she is, digging through your backpack and searching drawers...despicable!
I HOPE you get a full reward.and payed back 7 times what that landlord took.belongs in jail. I've been stolen from.its a violation.and it stays with you..hope you win big time.God Bless
If he is doing that to this apartment, he is going in all the apartments in the building. Looking for things to steal.
I have to add, even if you owe them large amounts of money, they must go through steps and protocols to evict, not bully and sneak.
This is why I always change the locks. Not just nosy landlords, but I once came home and found the last tenant doing this crap. Cops took her for a psych evaluation.
He/she goes into your refrigerator? Just wow...
NJ actually has a law allowing tenants to change the locks and with hold the key.....unless it has been changed
Instead of wasting your time and hard earned money on legal formalities use it to hire someone to scare the shit out of her.
You can always call your county court clerk to ensure your lawyer filed. I would have immediately changed my door locks. How creepy to say the least!
This is really messed up...
I hope she goes down for this.
What the heck!!! Riffling through your things trying to steal. Would like to see his response when the tape played back & he brought up on charges
Since she continues to get away with it it wasn't that thrilling - but I really thought it was going to be or I would at the least be the last one she does this to. So sad
I got the same here; they feel entitled; remember: You only have to catch a thief once!
Not this one. She walked Scott free but I'm sure shell get hers eventually. Sorry you had to go thru this too
In the past I've rented & the last Apartment we rented from Before we moved out, I cleaned it top to bottom & I still had a feeling the landlord was going to try & pull some shit with keeping the security dep. because we lived there 6 yrs & she said we were responsible for repainting just because we lived there.
Don't you guys change the locks on your door the day you move in???? We do and when we move out we remove our lock and install their's for handover.
Only thing he needs to worry about is the rent money 💰 not what's going on in his tenants apartment 🏡 WTF
What a creep! I hope you took this to the authorities!!
I hope you finally got her to pay for what she's done!! I need to set up some cameras asap on my home!!
Cameras never hurt! She had to pay $500 measly dollars and it took 5 years but I was going to make her pay something.
I would be so creeped out! Hope you moved out!
utopiadream I went to stay with my aunt. Sadly I put all my money into that apartment
@@anastasiabraucht2645 I've gotta really divisive manager using threats to enter with spare key taking loads of photos of every room every fking year. No valid reason no faults .intrusive & creepy. Plus he stopped all repairs so had to arrange all my self just to get a cooker which is pretty essential.
Been there. I was nursing my youngest son when she unlocked the door and came in. She had no excuse to why she was coming in at all. Wow on this dude. Violating you all in your stuff. I hope he was dismissed from his job after this.
The moral of the story is change the lock when you move into an apartment, and don't give anybody the key.
P Lucas and done trust anyone sadly. I considered this woman a friend.
Unlawful to do that. If your space is invaded, best to get a hungry lawyer.
Most leases require you to give a key to the landlord or lease if company. A security camera is your best bet and an attorney if they come i without prior notice and not for an obvious emergency.
You can get evicted for changing the locks.
You have a right to protect your home in any way possible.
also always add a nice clear sign as you walk into your home " you are being recorded by many hidden camera's" so they have been warned.
This is why I carry. Doesn't matter who's in there if I'm not being notified your going into the place that's classified as trespassing
you should have an alarm system. or put soap on the floor in front of the door inside so she can slip and fall. but you gotta watch out for yourself not to fall.
This happens all the time I used to work for my old apartment complex and cought the maintenance man in mine.
My daughter rents and this is why she has two police dogs that stay at home while she is at work and she had the locks changed and saved the old ones to put back in when she moves out. Plus she has cameras within the rental. You never know what scum will deside to be above the law and break the law and your privacy I have said for many years that the state department needs to bring back asylums because theirs to many insane people walking around free
I heard they were mostly closed because the governments (I'm in Aus)...try to save money...Yeah so then the public has to deal with their shenanigans. Governments are also irresponsible now, then they wonder why people lose hope and give up trying to do the right thing...
You can tell he's too comfortable with doing it. He's not even bothering to make sure things are put back the way they were before he touched things.
But my landlord hacked my camera and deleted my video of me recording
my apartment. And even came home and found my computer unplugged.
I'm just wondering why the owners of the property wasn't informed that they hired a thief?
It was the owners sister in law
