- We have developed a method for conducting band practices or jam sessions much quieter than usual, so we can work around the limitations of our practice spaces. No more angry neighbors and noise violations, no need to put the instruments away and go to bed, ever.

I’ve been tackling this problem myself on my channel and the kick drum is absolutely the toughest part like you said. There is a guy on UA-cam who made a shock absorber floor thing for his drums out of cardboard and tennis balls and I think that’s going to be the final touch
Yeah I bought the slightly-spendy shock absorbers for under the kick. And then switch the batter to that tennis ball thingy. I put the kick on a board a little wider and longer than the pedal, and put thin layers of carpet tile on that. Yeah, who know an electronic kit was F@&@&” Loud! I was rocking out at 3 am once and got a text from our neighbor 3 floors up! 😱
Like and subscribed 👍 this is exactly what I was looking for 💪
Yeah man. I used to live in this apartment out in Oakland, and I'd me making noise deep into the night. Neighbors banging on walls was a regular occurrence. And let's just say that when I got my 808 kick drum library, I was the only one who was happy. I honestly have no idea how I wasn't evicted.
I feel ya there 😂😂 we've had the cops called more than few times, it's good for your credibility in the local punk scene
Cajon to replace the drums, acoustic guitars and regular electric bass is fine for any pop, acoustic rock, country or folk band. No mic required for vocals if they know how to sing loudly while sounding nice.
I don't understand how the guitar sound goes into the mixing board. can you just go through a padal board into a channel strip on the mixing board? is the channel strip the amp for the guitar?
You need an amp with a line or direct out. Or a modeller like the line6 helix. Or a pedal amp like the orange terror stomp
can you comment the instructions here step by step? newbie here but want to do quiet jam setup. thanks
I don't have a mixer. Can I use an audio interface instead? We're only going to use a guitar and an electric drum kit.
Isn't the drum output MIDI? Do you need to connect the module to the laptop?
Thanks for the video. I tried this in 2008 (yes, I’m that cool 🙄) and I want to warn everyone that you want a decent Roland kit. You can find them everywhere used for around $500 - will take a little searching. The Alesis you mentioned is likely better than the one I had so long ago - my point is, just make sure the kit’s responsive and as “real” as possible. It screwed all the tempo and made it impossible to “rawk.” Anyways my two cents. Thanks for the video!
Hi! Thank you for your video. I was wandering if you can help on one thing I,ve been struggle: how you connect bass guitar or electric guitar to your mixer if it doesn’t have hi-z input?? You just connect the instrument or the electric drum kit to the mixer? Thank you for help, greeting from Chile
For guitar or bass, plugging into an effect pedal like distortion or overdrive before the mixer should help. This will act like a pre-amp, bring your guitar signal to a more appropriate level, and give you more control of your tone. A direct-in or "DI" box is also useful in this setup to make your gear's output levels match your mixer's inputs better. Thanks for watching!
@@tywulfmusic thank you for your answer :)!
Hello. What do you use for the earphone portion of it?
Hi, no DI box between guitar and mixer?
I was wondering that too.
Thank yoi
❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 thank you
