Hi! I did some research online and found some webpages saying that the date code type depends on each factory. I only saw Gallieras with leather tab data code that contains letters MI and year 2012, so I think that maybe this one specific factory (located in France) probably used leather tags as data code in 2012. My opinion🙂
My Galliera has a leather tab and the date code indicates the 50th week of 2011! All of the other authentic markers are spot on, but back of the tab I’m in doubt
Hey Ana. I had a women who bought a vintage Lv and it was the same issue. We all said, the bag is real. But theproauthenticator said it’s not real because of the leather tab. The bag was from 2002. Nobody can tell me that had such good fakes back in 2002. We still don’t know if it’s real or fake, but I will share your story with her xx Selina
Hi Selina, Levy here from ProAuthenticators. Galliera was release in mid year of 2008, so from 2002 would be impossible. It was only stamped on the suede lining prior to 2012. Also, we Proauthenticators would never based it on leather tab as a reference in authenticating. But then again, it can varies by style of bag :)

But Im sure its an original - I bought It In Vienna, I don’t have a bill unfortunately and hardly remember date. I guess it was 2006 or 2007. She has two gallieras because she can have two or however many. It's called having the free will to buy if a person has the means. It is nobody's business why she has more than one.

Is there branding on all the hardware? The grommets for the handles don't seem to have it. Is that okay?
I've seen some 2011s that don't have the leather tab, it's the heat stamp date code so I do wonder

Usually on bags with the alacantra lining have their date code embossed on that lining. Just have to look for it as it can be hard to see

My 2012 has a leather tab and is definitely authentic. 2012 was the year they switched to leather tag

Why do you have 2 galliera? You should know they are authentic if you bought them yourself from the store? Are you an eBay seller buying used bag?
